BREAKING NEWS TITLE VACATED
WM40 Madness leads to title becoming vacant



Following a controversial end to the World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins & Drew McIntyre, Raw Director Adam Pearce has announced that Seth Rollins has had to vacate his World Heavyweight Championship due to injury that will keep him out of action for up to 6 months. Also announced is that Drew McIntyre has been suspended with immediate effect for a current undisclosed amount of time, with a massive fine also going his way. 


Adam Pearce will address the WWE Universe on Raw with a plan for the championship. 

"Over the weekend in what should have been a celebration of huge moments at WrestleMania, Drew McIntyre decided to take things into his own hands and turn the event into a sour one. He purposefully injured Seth Rollins to the extent that he will require surgery, and will need to vacate his World Heavyweight Championship, Drew has spoken with myself and upper management regarding his actions, and we agreed it would be best to remove Drew from the situation at hand currently, and bring him back when seen fit by ourselves. We'd like to wish Seth Rollins the best in his rest, recouperation and recovery from this heinous injury."


"Tonight on Raw we will address the situation regarding the vacant title, and put forward an idea and plan that will bring out the best for the brad and title".

RAW GM ANNOUNCES TOURNAMENT
New World Champion to be crowed after title being vacated


Adam Pearce has released a short-statement concerning the status of the World Heavyweight Championship ahead of tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw .

"Following Seth Rollins' severe injury at WrestleMania, for which he will be out for an extended period of time, he was forced to vacate his World Heavyweight Championship. The person who was responsible for these actions has also been placed on 'indefinite leave', which means we won't be seeing Drew McIntyre for a very, very long time either, if at all. It is within my power to announce a tournament to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, with the culmination of the tournament happening at Backlash in France. It will be an 8-man tournament starting tonight on Raw, with all quarter-final matches taking place. The tournament will be filled with stars from both brands, some who have held top titles before, some who have challenged, and some who I feel are ready to make that next step. I thank Smackdown GM Nick Aldis for allowing 4 of the men to take part in the tournament, and in turn I will allow 4 superstars from the Raw roster to appear on Smackdown for the duration of the tournament."

Jey Uso def. Austin Theory
The World Heavyweight Championship tournament started with a bang, as Jey Uso punched his ticket to the semi-finals after defeating Austin Theory. Grayson Waller tried to cause a distraction, that backfired to allow 'Main Event' Jey Uso to grab the win.


Finn Balor def. Sheamus
Balor made sure 'The Celtic Warrior' wasn't stepping into the semi-finals of the tournament, even if he had to have a little help from The Judgement Day, Dom Mysterio took the most of Sheamus' anger after they interfered, but it was a swift knock on the head from Priest with the MITB breifcase, which allowed Balor to hit the 1916 for the win. 


Sami Zayn def. Jimmy Uso
In what was labelled 'The Match of the Night' Sami Zayn defeated long-term rival Jimmy Uso to seal his place into the semi-finals of the tournament, Jimmy had something to prove after the collapse of The Bloodline at WrestleMania, and a potential semi-final match-up against his brother Jey Uso. Surely that would have been enough for him, but it wasn't as Sami Zayn defeated Jimmy Uso, as he marched onto the semi-final, with Jimmy heading to Smackdown friday night facing more wrath from both 'The Tribal Chief' Roman Reigns, and 'The High Chief' himself...The Rock.



GUTHER def. Rey Mysterio
After GUNTHER cut a fierce promo on the Smackdown roster challenging for the top title on Raw, he absolutely battered Smackdown's Rey Mysterio in the main event. Rey tried to get some offence in, but it wasn't enough to cut down 'The Ring General', as he made Rey pay for disrespecting both the mat and Raw. GUNTHER hit three huge power bombs on Rey for the win, GUNTHER head to the semi-finals, as medics and fans are concerned about Rey Mysterio, who hasn't moved a muscle since the pin fall happened. Before RAW goes off the air GUNTHER picks Rey Mysterio up and hits another Powerbomb.

Show Review

Newly crowned WWE Champion Cody Rhodes opened the show, he thanked everyone that had supported him through his journey to finish the story, and he bid farewell to the Raw brand as he officially moves to Smackdown. He then went on to say The Rock is firmly locked in his sights.

The Judgement Day were in their den discussing their WrestleMania woes after losing all their gold at the event. Damien Priest said that tonight is the start of a golden opportunity for Finn Balor to solidify The Judgement Day as THE MAIN GROUP of WWE, following the breakdown of The Bloodline at Mania. "I have no doubt in my mind that I will once again hold gold here in WWE, and I will happily lead this brand into the future as its new World Champion" a defiant Balor said to the rest of the group, as he headed out for his match against Sheamus. Priest looked on and said to Rhea "It's okay, if Finn fails....we have the backup plan in my hand" alluding to his MITB Briefcase.

Becky Lynch surprised the crowd with a confetti celebration celebrating her victory over Rhea Ripley and clinching the Women's World Championship. "Anyone who think they are man enough to step up to THE MAN, I'll see you at Backlash". Jade Cargill interrupted and challenged Lynch to a match at Backlash for the championship, Becky laughed it off and walked away.

 Sami Zayn gave a passionate speech on how he has always been 'The Underdog from the Underground', but he is now sick of being labelled 'The Underdog', he wants to be seen as 'The Man' to lead Raw forward, he knows what he is capable of, and he knows he can beat anyone in this tournament on any given day. He said he can't wait to knock Jimmy Uso's teeth out of his mouth, he hasn't forgiven him for what went down with The Bloodline. He has also said that if it comes down to him and Jey, he hopes that the best man wins.

Before the main event started GUNTHER cut a fierce promo on how the Raw roster lacks respect for the ring, the management of Raw lacks respect for allowing Smackdown wrestlers to compete for Raw's top prize. He said WrestleMania was a high point for himself and Imperium, as they walked into the event with 1 championship, and walked out with three. He said that he has held the Intercontinental Championship for a very, very long time and has no desire to let it go yet. "Nothing will give me more pleasure than to not only hold this prestigious title, but to hold THE top championship on Monday Night Raw. I will not rest, I will not let anything go until that World Heavyweight Championship is in my possession, and when it is in my possession, I will not let go of that for even longer than Roman Reigns held that WWE Championship for".

Suspended Drew finally speaks his mind




Following his suspension from WWE & Monday Night Raw, A WWE Crew have caught up with Drew McIntyre to get his thoughts on the recent happenings.

"Listen, I know why you've all came here today, I know why you've got these cameras here. It's because you were all hoping to see a man down on his luck, a man out of a job, and a man desperate for attention. Well, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that IS NOT the case. If you want to see a man down on his luck, go see the former World Champion, yeah go see Seth Rollins, as his wife Becky and his pathetic kid are nursing him back to a questionable level of health. I think we all know the story by now, I should be sitting here still an employee of Monday Night Raw, so Adam Pearce I'll be seeing you in court soon. I should be sitting here talking to you all as the NEW World Champion. Not only that, but I had that match won, I had Seth out for the count...but that little bitch Becky had to shove her nose in where it didn't belong. Just because she fell short against Rhea, doesn't mean she has to make sure Sethy-Cakes or whatever her name is for him retained his title. That's why I done what I had to after the match, I had to physically hurt Seth, and take away the one thing that means more to him that his little family, the World title. THAT WORLD TITLE MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME!!! Adam can throw together whatever his little tournament is to *crown* a new World Champion, just know that WHEN my suspension is lifted...not by ADAM...but those above him, and trust me...it'll be soon....I'm taking what is rightfully mine. That World Title belongs to me...even if I have to injure the rest of the Raw roster to claim it".
