Sorry that more people aren't talking these games because they're pretty bloody good. I prefer them to the Summer olympics. Nothing in the Summer games compares to Skeleton, double luge etc.

The halfpipe battle between Shaun White and Scotty James was excellent.

Mostly out on the Olympics, other than about fifteen minutes a night with the daughter. Did watch halfpipe which was impressive. Need more curling on our tv options because I’d watch some curling but otherwise it hasn’t come close to pulling me away from my ER rewatch.

Canada's in 3rd in the medal standings. More than even the United States, which is something.

What happened to Bob Costas? Doesn't he usually anchor NBC's coverage of the games?

Do we care about the meal standings. There are 12 medal events for cross country which we suck at and Norway dominates. And there 11 medal events for the biathlon, who cares. It was nice of them to add some cheap events like doubles curling and tram figure skating to pad our count.

Well, just so you know, the U.S. won their first ever gold medal in cross country skiing yesterday.

The medal count is something I don't pay much attention to either, I just enjoy the sports. One thing I didn't expect to see was Nigeria fielding a team in the 2 women bobsleigh event.

Seems like more horseshit officiating against the Canadian team in women's hockey again. What else is new...

Ha! Finally Canada gets a bounce. And after a blown interference call at that. They seriously need to get men to officiate these games.

These Americans should also go into diving, another call against us right after the goal.

This is some pretty tense shit.

Impressive skills by these ladies in shootout. Great game.

Great effort by both teams. Shame it has to end on a gimicky shoot-out. I believe the Americans would have beat us anyway in either format. Our girls seemed pretty wore down.

Canada got eliminated in the semis of the men's hockey tournament. Does anyone care? With teams made up of jobbers the whole tournament seems like a waste.

I feel exactly the opposite. I think it's wonderful that there aren't NHLers in the Olympics this year and it's made the entire games far more exciting.

Germany just took Canada to the limit and is headed to the gold medal game. Germany. Think about how awesome that is for international hockey.

Would you rather have the big 3 (Canada, USA, Russia) battling it out to see who gets to the gold medal game every single time? Because that's boring. Sometimes a Sweden or a Finland sneaks in there, but that's rare.

I think they should never allow NHL players again. I've loved watching these games.

No thats dumb. It's like saying canada is the best at soccer because we won the C level amateur world cup. 

The true Miracle On Ice just happened. A dysfunctional and ridiculed US men's curling team just beat Canada twice and Sweden to capture the gold medal. Truly one of the great sports upsets of all time, no joke. These guys should be the US flag bearers and become darlings of the sports world after this. There was infighting with this team after being destroyed by Norway 9-3 dropping them to 2-4 then they run the tables to just get in the playoffs and the rest is history.

What a game. I can't believe that A., Germany has forced this game to this point. And B., that they allowed a shorthanded goal in the last minute of the game that tied the game.

This could have been history making. But now, it's looking like the same old story.

I thought Russia pulled their goalie so technically it was even strength. Still though an incredible finish.

That five pointer in the Gold medal match was epic.

That or the Canadian chick ripping off her silver medal will remain my favorite Olympic memory from this year.
