Penny's Big Breakway shadow drop today is insane, this FEB is cruel. I am deep into Persona 3 Reload and have Death Mark II looming and maybe even get into FFVII Remake.

Easily highlight of show. 3 top 10 most anticipated games for me all this FEB

Game still runs like shit, I didn't finish SMT V Vanilla but I hate when Atlus does this where they don't allow you to buy the DLC/expansion if you own the main game. I hope they change this.

This def needs PC/PS5 and am hoping this isn't stuck on Switch again, maybe Switch II will save the day but the FPS was a huge complaint of this game.

Battletoads in Battlemaniacs is easier compared to Battletoads(NES) but it still pops a punch. IIRC you can play as Pimple in this one. They need to put Battletoads & Double Dragon next, that is a pure David Wise masterpiece. Battlemaniacs is great too(Ragnarok Canyon is amazing).



Ender Lillies sequel looks great too, still need to play the 1st one. Heard great things, forgot to get it when it was on sale. Pentiment from XBOX Studios will garner the headlines though, this is the 1st of the XBOX 1st party games coming elsewhere. Hi Fi Rush would be a mega win for everyone though, best first party game Microsoft has put out this generation.

It looks like they're going the Apocalypse route which is going to open an entirely new campaign.

The FPS was shoddy, but I didn't really notice it being a JRPG and all. Then again, I did sink 300+ hours into Scarlet/Violet, so I don't need my games to be that smooth.

Love the Hollow Tree as well, this always pops into my head if I'm in a hurry.

Multi platform, this is big time. Comes out the same day as the Elden Ring DLC though which is a death kiss. The OST of SMT V has some bangers, I got to the halfway point of the original before I tapped out due to this being on hard mode and where you have to grind it out. Was near the end of the Demon Castle.





With Metaphor coming soon as well, Atlus is taking over 2024 no doubt.

This should have been on the showcase. Really good game that deserves more attention.

Shame they haven't released Diddy Kong Racing yet.

We've got to wait our turn Punk, Ness and Papaya have been crying for a DK64 port.

Diddy Kong Racing deserves to be on the N64 library console but I guess Mario Kart is king supreme so there can be room for only 1 kart game.

As always I'll jot down random thoughts, as I watch this Partner Showcase.

- Grounded seems like it could be interesting enough, although I'll need to see more, before deciding if it's something I would want to get it.

- As someone who isn't big into the Monster Hunter series, I've got to say that the Monster Hunter Stories games, actually do look like they'd be fun to play. Given that the first one is coming to Nintendo Switch, it just might be time to look into playing both games.

- A remake of Epic Mickey? OK yeah, I'll be picking this one up.

- Nice, a new Super Monkey Ball game. The Wife is big into the series, and I don't mind it myself, so this is something for both of us to play.

- Penny's Big Breakaway shadow dropping on Nintendo Switch, this game seems like something up my alley. I might wait to see if there is an announcement for a physical release first, before buying it. Either way, I've been looking forward to this one, ever since it was first announced.

- I might check out the demo for Pepper Grinder. It seems like it could be a decent enough game.

- Speaking of demos, I'll be downloading the Contra demo, after I'm finished with this Partner Showcase. Much like Penny's Big Breakaway, Contra: Operation Galuga, is another game I've patiently been waiting for.

- Holy Nintendo Switch Online update Batman~!!!!! Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, Blast Corps, and Killer Instinct are all coming to NSO, and I can't wait to play them.

- Overall, I thought this was a pretty good Partner Showcase, with a few new games added to my want list, so for me, that's always a win. With this out of the way, we've got the Pokemon Presents to look forward to, on February 27th.

Lony came away eating good this showcase.

Penny's Big Breakaway is $29.99, might have to buy it. That's a great deal.

Did you get a chance to see the Atlus stream for SMTV, Blindy?

Only caught a glimpse of it, but it sounds like it's more of a Royal situation. It comes with two campaigns, the original SMT V and a different route that shares similarities with the base games but things change dramatically the further you go through the game.

Like you said, if you were going to buy the game again, you'd have to go with a different platform for the best experience and may even have to wait for a discount considering it's going head to head with Elden Ring.

So for people not paying attention, Persona devs said they had an SMT game to finish up before they move onto Persona 6.

SMT getting free of the Nintendo exclusivity is great. I know some are upset it looks like a Royal situation, but really, at this point if you do not think Atlus will do this will these games you been living under a rock. This is a trend with them for like 20 years.  If you want to be cheap get it on PC when it goes on a 75% off same in six months or so.

Like I tossed out 70 for P3R knowing to expect a 40 to 50 release later that expands on it. Unlike P5 at least I did not have to buy a $400 console too for it though.

Nobody is shocked that they're going the Royal route, but it wouldn't have been unprecedented had they gone the Apocalypse route and it's understandable to be underwhelmed by it.

I bought the SMT V Collector's Edition Day 1 for Switch so I did my part in support so I won't buy this new version Day 1 at full price. This either goes to Game Pass like the Persona series has/had and Soul Hackers 2 did which I would play or get it on a discount. This should have been done as an expansion/upgrade and it's shitty to make someone have to buy another 60 dollar purchase to get content that should have been made as DLC(They charged DLC for the Nocturne bosses like Trumpeter/4 Horsemen of Apocalypse/Matador etc.) which I bought since it wasn't too expensive.

This is also coming out same day as the Elden Ring DLC, so guess which of the two I would side with? The one that isn't forcing you to restart the game to experience new content and isn't forcing you to make a full game purchase. Regardless of if Atlus is known to do this or not, it's lame business practice.

They are going to have the Persona 3 FES exclusive "The Answer" content available down the road which mercifully seems to be DLC and not forced as a new edition of the game.

MOST LIKELY I am reading there is some ability to transfer in 3 demons from SMT V vanilla into the new one so that means probably if I play this, it's on the next Switch.

No elsewhere people are freaking out over it.  Guessing they are not Persona fans.  Not the best practice, but one that is expected.

The release being the same as Elden Ring I doubt will be a problem.  People will play Elden Ring like collectively.  SMT will not have that same social experience.  Kind of a no brainer which to play first if playing both.

For Reloaded I would not be so sure on it being The Answer DLC and not a new game, as they could add FemP and resell it.  People claim to have found FemC stuff buried in the code already.
