Was Gulak beneficial from a training standpoint? Because he's one of those guys I was always like... why is he signed?

Was an amazing doc series about the college athlete recruitment system.  Basically an updated tough enough for the performance center era.  Took fifty guys and followed them through tryouts, signing NXT deals and to one of them getting their first NXT match.  Really great show.  Big E, Bloom and HBK are the WWE scouts for it, with a former gymnast who does not wrestle.

He was decorated war vet training students of the battles that will come in wrestling.

Called it for Drew.  As soon as talk of sexual misconduct started he was just too much of a risk to keep with all the baggage Rory had.  You do not want to be on shareholder calls correcting people, no Drew did not tell fans he wanted to watch a dog fuck them, that was just his little brother, Drew was the one our female workers complained about.

I imagine Tony can be talked into taking him or TNA would love to have him.  But not a guy you want if you have shareholders just because of how fucked up the Rory stuff was.

Gable Steveson let go as well, he didn't progress at all in the ring and given he had so much allegations going against him, it made sense.

Gulak one seems kind of unfortunate but maybe this wasn't a 1 off? I assume he will be wrestling in GCW and the like, I know Janela put him over big time in the past of being someone who helped him out a lot. I just think it's shitty that Rousey brought this up years later while promoting her book and took a long time to remember his name in an interview when she personally picked the man out to help her train for matches vs Charlotte among other matches. Who knows if it was a mistake or not, that's he said/she said but to just not know the person who went out of their way to train you & help you comes off as condescending. I have tried very hard to like Rousey in the past but it just gets nearly impossible to do so.

I thought Feroz was a fish out of water once her tag partner was let go last NXT cuts and Bearhill is a bit of a surprise since he just wrestled in the Men's Breakout tourney and 1-2 matches with Lexis King after the fact. I thought Emma Diaz would make it though, she had a nice look, good to see she still wants to continue to pursue wrestling and get better at the craft. 

Boa getting released further instills that new management does not think China can be a hotbed in wrestling, that and he never really got any better. Hoping Wendy Choo survives the cuts though, think the sleepy girl gimmick can still be something in NXT.

After Rory, if anybody had anything on Gulak they would have come out with it. I mean we heard all this shit about Chikara with every minor thing getting call outs and Drew was never mentioned. I really think this was Ronda being Ronda, and he got crucified more for what his brother did, than he did.

I imagine he is coming to AEW now. Pity he was not released last week. Could have had him retire Chuck Taylor instead.  FIST vs Colony was one of the hottest feuds in indy wrestling in that era.  Chuck crippling Worker Ant is the sort of angle you can only do in a place like Chikara.

Also funny as hell Damon Kemp was hired at the request of Gable, still has his job, and is likely to stick around for a long time.  Not seen a single bad word about Gable's big brother.

Wendy got a surprising reaction on her return.  Plenty of other TJPW gimmicks to ripoff if this one does not work.  And she gets released sure a lot of the feds will fight over who gets her.  She has that something special that gets attention.

One of the saddest moments in pro-wrestling was Soldier Ant announcing he could no longer wrestle due to Frightmare ripping off his last antennae.

Nazmaldun was truly evil.

There was only one ant worth anything and he seems to have carved out a nice spot for himself.

I actually know the older brother as one of the kids I coached during my days as an assistant coach wrestled Bobby on many occasions in high school and in freestyle. Bobby use to come to our clinics on a regular basis before he moved to Apple Valley Minnesota. Back then Gabel was a little kid always on the mats way before he was at the high school level. While Gable was the better wrestler Bobby is way more athletic and more cut out for WWE.

Yeah Gable may have been the better pure wrestler, but Damon clearly got WWE very fast. Not be shocked if at the end of the day, Gable had an ago, and Damon did not too.

The irony was solo everyone thought Green Ant would be the biggest star of the three, and he is the one not on TV.

HHH said that WWE simply decided not to renew Drew's contract and that sometimes you just need to release talent.  Claims it had nothing to do with Ronda.  

Huge no-no if this is true. Bullying younger NXT talents and picking on known injured spots is a douchebag move. No way AEW would sign up for this is this is true.

Looks like he has more Rory in him than people want to admit.

Will know real fast what people really think of Drew though. The AEW guys do not go to bat him for him, then backstage problems likely a legit thing. Eddie mentioned some bad attitudes as the reason he left Chikara, and around the time Eddie left, a lot of people left.

While I would love to see the colony reunite in Chikara, that rumor alone makes he hope Tony passes at least until he does a TNA run.

Report makes me wonder, if he does sign to AEW and does that shit there, what Tony would do if someone like Shibata gave an old school receipt to him for it.  Matt Hardy was always too new school to give a receipt, as was Ruby, so never really had a situation where someone gave one.

Listening to Maven's stuff, shit worked for a long time in WWE to keep people from being assholes or stiff.  And dude took a lot of them.  Miz also took a bunch of nasty ones early on.

Also still shocked them kept him after the Rory stuff. I would have released him in the next batch after that. WWE brought him to a tryout and had him on TV several times after Drew pushed for him to come to NXT. While Drew was not involved directly, he still exposed Rory to the WWE fans, something no promoter will ever do again.
