Veer Mahaan and Sanga not shocking either.  Veer's push to the main roster was like a laughable disaster, and the second group had almost no support.

Sounds like the new HR team during the cuts is far more apologetic and respectful to talent being released. Or a real HR team for once that wants to make damn sure the bridges are laid to get people back later if needed. Feels like a HHH thing. He was the master bridge layer. And I presume he wants to end people leaving on a bad note that often happened in the past when people got cut out of the blue.

I’m guessing, Probably not budget cuts since it was only five wrestlers and Jinder was the only one making good money. I suppose this was just a matter of future bookings and no one on NXT, Raw, or Smackdown had anything for them. Pure speculation though, and what do I know.

I doubt the cuts are over. At least performance center will be doing cuts soon as they do yearly cuts in the spring to clean out the people who just are not getting things after their first year.

Between this and Jinder’s response something seems odd.

No, they cut them all basically at once which pisses them off as they were the last Indian stars they had.  And it made them look like they were targeting foreigners or minorities for release.

They were also shit. And were lucky they even got this far.

Naw Jinder and Indus Sher will be great in TNA.  WWE just blows booking Indians.

Jinder Mahal is fantastic, he does his job well.

WWE still has Jinny who despite not being able to wrestle again, could elevate talent with her mic work. She's "retired" but probably could still be a manager if she wanted to. Think she's the final Hindu talent they got. That or the annual Great Khali call, who would not surprise me if he comes back part time. Khali still gets people up dancing.

I just think Vince thought strong of China and India being hotbeds of talent, Saudi/Middle East too with the Mansoor lovefest. TKO/Nick Khan probably doesn't share the same belief and thinks regardless of where the talent are located, they can push whomever and fans will eat it up.

Von Wagner was let go last week silently. Man Robert Stone can't catch a break every talent he's touched has been let go. Chelsea Greene(she's back now), Aliyah, Frankie Monet/Taya Valkyrie, Jessi Kamea, Mercedes Martinez and now Von Wagner.

I'd say he deserves to get a main roster callup and to reunite with Chelsea but dude has the touch of death.

Trevor Lee back is gonna be fun.

I don’t want AEW to sign every single WWE cast off, but I wouldn’t be mad if they gave Cameron Grimes a shot. I think he never got a fair shot on the main roster and with some more creative freedom in an environment like AEW, he could be pretty rad. I hope they pick him up.

I felt he was doomed when he came up as clean shaven Cameron Grimes. Without the Carolina Caveman look, and without the Stonks backstory we all saw unfold, he's just another guy.

Quality worker. Average sports entertainer. TNA has probably already snapped him up. He is a former X Division champion isn't he?

Yeah. Basically was everyone's favourite indie jobber from like 2015 until he went to WWE. One of those guys that could just do everything well enough to be over with the fans, and therefore became a cult favourite.

I liken him to Stevie Richards or Trent Baretta. Just a solid worker that can do a little of everything very well, respected by wrestlers and fans alike, and probably deserves a "thank you" mid-card title at some point. He already got his in NXT, but he's still young enough and creative enough that he could have a really solid run in AEW/TNA/etc.

I imagine we are getting Trevor Lee back.  He is in with some of the guys on the roster.  If not TNA will take him in without a second thought.  Lee gets over usually.

Trevor Lee saying he was told he would always have a job in WWE, right before they cut him. He seems to think he was cut for having a bad attitude because he would tell the writers he was willing to anything they had to get on TV on a regular basis.

I find it extraordinary that someone told a random NXT guy they were a lifer. I’m guessing he misinterpreted would some exec said. If he really was told that, the exec needs a slap. Why would you do that though.

I think he had some issues long ago on Twitter with some racism IIRC, I am guessing maybe the WWE doesn't feel he's worth the potential headache down the road. He has been squeaky clean for a while to his credit but alas. 

Shocking since he's one of Helms top guys and Helms is still an agent in the company. 

Likely Helms who told him he was not going anywhere, they he got released anyway.

Given how hot this run is, the merch sales cut along is worth staying for.  Tony could match on downside, and even go a bit higher, but Drew is getting really hot, and finally is moving merch.  Sky is the limit for what he can earn now.
