They'd be smart IF Okada does sign up to have him come in and instantly dethrone GUNTHER for the IC Belt and that would free GUNTHER up to take down Rollins or whomever for the big belt in a European PPV.

Does his gear all have the NJPW logo on it? That might be why. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

People on reddit figured it out. He may not be coming to WWE but rather, the gear is related to a NJPW licensing deal that is no longer in play tomorrow.
So sadly reports this was a lock for Okada are overstated. Still think he gets his WM moment and signs though, then main events a night next year after taking the Rumble.
I bet we get news tomorrow when his contract formally ends.

Reports are talks finally started with Okada. Assume we get a decision really fast, either he wants to do WWE or he does not. Doubt the cash offered will be significantly more than what Tony laid out, so comes down to where he wants to be. Dirtsheets saying he will go to AEW because he is friends with the Bucks but that sounds ridiculous, and likely is just the Bucks fucking keyfabing reporters.
Still hoping for him in WWE even if it is feeling like serious copium.

He's been to TNA, he's been to AEW. As a fan, the real forbidden door is the WWE. Which I think, his debut in WWE and Okada being there will feel so much more special.
In short, he's not getting " The Cody " treatment in AEW both from the company and the fans.
Will Ospreay signing was meant to be a big deal - but the lad had and was already there. It wasn't special. They weren't eating the forbidden fruit signing Will. The same with Okada. The only " OMG " moment for Okada is if he signs with WWE and for the life of them, it's somehow kept a secret until the second that coin drops.

Don't be surprised if Andrade shows up on Raw tonight. Shawn Spears (Tye Dillinger) also posted "Day 1" on twitter, but that could always be either a coincidence or him fishing for attention. Well for Shawn Spears, his Day 1 was today.

Someone's maybe confusing him with his brother. Yeah his brother worked as "Camacho" in NXT when he was in a team with Hunico/new Sin Cara.

Yeah they both tried out and stuff but WWE only wanted Loa long term. Think it was a real miss not picking up all three of the Haku clan. Hope they start to correct that now.

I never thought about this but it's kinda weird this never happened. Dunno if they were just that committed to working in Japan or what. I always thought they would make an amazing trio in WWE. Tama Tonga, Tanga Lio & Hikuleo vs. The Usos & Solo Sikoa would win MOTY every year.

Dudley's sent Tama and Tanga right to WWE after training them. They wanted Tanga but not Tama, so Tama heading over to Japan. Then Tanga got released and followed him. Hikuleo just seems to have started there seeing the writing on the wall.
Thinking now, WWE sees these guys are cheap pickups that have a legacy connection which is great in an era where they no longer have unlimited cash for a roster. Not be shocked if the others joined Tama when their contracts are up, as WWE should easily be able to match a mid tier NJPW contract. And the debut of each brother could be huge if they are willing to discuss their past, which WWE seems more than willing to do now.
Like imagine Tama calling out the Usos saying he will have a mystery partner and Tanga or Hikuleo showing up? Be huge. Or the debut of the third man once people start to love the tag team, not realizing they are not even at full strength.
Then they can pull out the old man to appear in their corner, who is an absolute living legend. They willing to talk about the rumors about Haku, these guys can be billed as raised by one of the most savage people ever to work in WWE.

I hate to be that guy ( as much as I like Tama Tonga ) but I doubt he'll have much of an impact on WWE on name value alone.
Bullet Club is yesterday's news. It no longer guarantees a pop like it did when The Good Brothers made their debuts. And being roughly from the same part of the world doesn't equat to a shared Bloodline.
I'd put forth, he'd most likely join his boys in NXT first where he'll be recognised and slowly but surely with a heel Styles running a muck, they'll join him as his heavies on Smackdown.
B-B-B.. don't call us Bullet Club beating the snot out of Knight at Wrestlemania.

Tonga is not Bullet Club perse. He is GoD. I doubt they link him to BC in WWE. And GoD will not be a thing unless they get his brothers.
They want to make connections, GoD turned on AJ and the Good Brothers when The Elite took over BC.
Doubt of that will matter when he debuts as they need to get him over personally, before there is any hope for bringing in his brothers. And ties to Japan are not how that is done. Far better leaning on his link to Haku.

Time to start the where will they sign game. Motor City Machine Guns contracts up end of the month and they are not staying in TNA now Scott is gone. While AEW seems the natural place for them, I know Kevin Nash is a huge fan of both, and likely will put in a word with HHH to get them. Shelley in particular is an interesting pick up as he is a physical therapy clinician, and one of the few that understand how wrestling damages the body. In TNA he was the guy helping everyone with their nagging injuries and WWE could use someone like that on their payroll.
Also would not be a bad team to park in NXT to work with people there prepping them for the main roster. Given they spent their entire careers in TNA should not shock anyone that neither really care about being the center of attention.

WWE is very PG, so the Motor City Machine Guns name will not likely stand there.

To c point, MCMG are an interesting team. Neither have had massive ambitions in the past and they almost dropped off the face of the planet at one point. I'd expect a role as trainers in NXT given their age and experience, but wouldn't be surprised if TNA found a way to keep them. As much as I hate The Young Bucks, especially Matt.. fuck him, a series with The Guns would be amazing.

MCMG can easily be renamed for WWE. Pretty sure when Shelley last worked NXT they mentioned Motor City Machine Guns though selling him as a tag team specialist when they used Time Splitters.
The problem with TNA is they fired Scott D'Amore. If people remember, when Scott came to TNA, he brought his star student, Sabin. They both turned down a lot of opportunities, including WWE prior, to stay with Scott in TNA. Now Scott is gone they are not expected to stick around. The last time Scott left TNA, both of them stopped working there as well only returning when they rehired Scott and he asked them to come back. These two have zero loyalty to the brand itself without Scott there.
The experience they have make them great for WWE as they could work up front while preparing to move into back. Shelley at least I would be shocked if he did not work backstage in WWE after he retires. An agent with physical therapy experience would be huge.
And sure if WWE does not make an offer and Tony can get them cheap he would love to have them. But he also just spent a shitload of cash on Okada, Willy and Banks so any real offer from WWE may take these two off the table. Hell NJPW may even outbid Tony right now to get them. Tony just has too many tag teams that are barely getting TV time to really toss out big money for another one.
That said Bucks do consider MCMG their mentors, and they are long time friends of Okada. May be pressure on Tony to pick them up for those reasons alone. Know last year MCMG said they wanted matches with the Bucks and FTR too.

Interesting situation forming up. Becky has two months of left of contract, and like Drew WWE is not doing a new contract in advance. Now that Mone is the highest paid woman in wrestling, WWE does their current take or leave it contract, Becky may leave it, go to AEW for more cash, and end up with more time to spend with the kid as a result.

Becky and Seth are WWE lifers. They're not going anywhere.
If she left I would not just be surprised, I would question everything I know about professional wrestling.

Money talks. Vince would have Drew on a five year contract by now, and would have landed Okada, Willy and Mone. Endeavor seems to be more here is what we are willing to pay you, if you do not like it go work elsewhere. And based on offers is looking to underpay talent.
