Was trying to decide between receiver and safety for Houston but with the Diggs news it makes this pick quite a bit easier for me. They need to shore up the middle of their defense and Nubin can play multiple roles at safety.

With the 44th pick the Arizona Cardinals select Cooper Beebe, OG, K-State

With their fourth pick across the first two rounds the Cardinals continue to cross off their needs, drafting the most celebrated pure interior o-lineman in the draft class. Arizona had Elijah Wilkinson starting at left guard last season (with a 46 PFF grade) so putting Beebe at the position he played his final two seasons of college ball alongside FA recruit Jonah Williams should help solidify the protection for Kyler Murray - who was sacked 18 times in just 8 starts last season.

I accomplished both my goals of addressing the OL and DL with the Saints first two picks. I would rather a true edge rusher like Braswell but Sweat is one of my favorite players in the draft and can provide a nice duo in the middle with Breese.

With the 46th pick, the Indianapolis Colts select CB Ennis Rakeshaw Jr, Missouri

Colts need to get that cornerback spot figured out and arguably could spend a round 1 pick to take care of it. I opted to go BPA and give them Bowers but they can't let Rakeshaw drop here. He's a high to mid 2nd rounder to the value matches and his lone setbacks are his height and that he ran a 4.5 at the combine, but he was dealing with a nagging groin injury that limited him. Lots to like with the coverage and versatility in the scheme, good fit for Gus Bradley's defense.

The New York Football Giants select Max Melton, CB, Rutgers

Giants have a lot of bodies in their cornerback room but they do have to replace 800 snaps of Adoree Jackson on the outside. Melton is a competitve and aggressive corner who's prone to missing tackles, and I feel like that's exactly the type of corner they have tended to target. :lol: NYG also have a long standing link with Rutgers so I think this pairing is a possibility.

With the 48th pick in the draft the Jacksonville Jaguars select:

Keon Coleman , WR , FSU

Lawrence lost Ridley and gained Davis back but he needs more weapons if he’s ever going to live up to his enormous potential. I like McConkey a bit more as a prospect but he does a lot of the same things Kirk does. Lawrence needs ball winners and Coleman is one of the best in the draft at that.

OT Patrick Paul, Houston

Bengals signed Trent Brown to join Orlando Brown Jr but the point is, the Bengals can use another OT just in case. Bengals tend to favor bigger lineman and at 6'7 333 LBS, Paul fits the billing. He's met with Cincy at the senior bowl and at the combine. He's the perfect OT3 and someone to learn and if need be, called upon to step in for injury. A lot to work with for the Bengals and Patrick Paul, seems like a good fit.

Blitz the Seahawk is up at the podium to announce the the 50th selection in the 2024 draft and wants the 12th man to give a warm pacific northwest welcome to Payton Wilson, linebacker, NC State.

Seattle need linebackers to run Mike Macdonald's defence. They acquired a couple of FA veterans on one year deals but Wilson is an incredible athlete who ran a faster 40 at the combine than Rome Odunze, and could be the heir apparent to Bobby Wagner.

LA Rams select Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan

The receivers continue to come off the board from this super deep class. I like Wilson to the Rams because we know McVay absolutely prioritises receivers who are willing to block. He might not be the flashiest or the fastest guy, but everything I've read makes him sound like a coaches player and a locker room favourite. WR might not seem like a huge need at first because of how they hit on Puka Nacua, but Cooper Kupp is sneaky old, and all the other guys in the corps are only on one year deals.

Philadelphia Eagles select Jeremiah Trotter Jr, LB, Clemson

We love a father-son pick! As previously stated, the back seven was a total disaster for the Eagles last season. They've made moves already to improve the linebacker group bringing in three FA veterans, but I think another youngster to pair with Nakobe Dean could set them up at the position for the future. Trotter Jr is being sold as a real field general with great instincts which I think sets him apart from the other guys they brought in like Devin White.

Tested really well, could be a stalwart in the middle for that Schwartz Browns defense in a year or so. Browns can use more beef in the middle and given they have a meager 5 picks this draft, I think CLE would be in a good spot to trade down if given the chances to. But here? One of the BPAs and hits home a bit of a need. Much like my thinking for the Bengals in round 1, when King Henry comes to your division, you answer by grabbing a bigman up front.

With the 56th pick, the Dallas Cowboys select RB Trey Benson, Florida State

Mercifully, the running back draft class gets on the board. With Dallas losing Pollard in the offseason to Tennessee, there's a big need at RB for the Boys at the moment. Chatter of them bringing back Zeke Elliot but even then, they may want a long term plan and Benson would be that. Not a real burst or great pass protector/catcher, his damage comes in the form of YPC and his ability to bounce off a tackler and keep his great balance. In addition, he has good speed(4.40 even at combine) and can get the tough yards on short downs. Should be the 1st RB taken with the other competition(Brooks) rehabbing off an torn ACL. Great with the fumbles and lack there of too, reliable! Benson falls due to RB syndrome and due to a knee injury he had 3 years ago while in Oregon.

Besides, this is a total JERRY pick. He let his scouts & son get the OLineman since they can sell that he's a 6'8 behemoth to Jerryworld but this? "We want firepower boys. Get me dat back".
