AT Perry is going to make strides and be a breakout player year 2. Huge body WR. Had 2 tuddy game in his final game, Saints just need to put more faith in him. He's outperformed his draft slot 1 year in so far. He will get an opportunity to compete for WR2 this season. I’m sure they will draft a WR as well but as long as he has a good camp, he’ll have the inside track along with Shaheed.

As someone who watches every second of every Saints game, we are boring as fuck. The problem is they tried to stay competitive after Brees retired bc we still had Payton and a top 5 defense. Then they double downed after Payton left and made some head scratching moves that buried our salary cap for the foreseeable future. Trust me, morale of the fan base is as low as the Pre-Payton days and most of us just want a total rebuild at this point. Things will not get better until Loomis is gone. I think ownership is afraid of going back to the dark ages where the dome was empty so she is content with being mediocre and allowing Loomis and co to continue to kick the can down the road. It sucks as a fan of this team. Part of me wises they’d draft someone like Penix just to bring some energy to this team but they seem tied to the hip with Carr. Okay if they took a swing at Penix or Nix I would adjust my previous assessment. Just out of curiosity. I just don’t understand teams like the Saints and never will, the ones who refuse to see the rebuild is necessary. The sad thing is due to their working of the cap as you said, they are stuck with him for two years or it’s a 50 mil dead cap hit. At least pre Peyton they had Aaron Brooks or Deuce.

No idea what the Texans will do. I think they think it’s a poor draft outside of quarterbacks and receivers and that’s why they were happy to drop back and load up. Hopefully we find some gems. I would say poor is pretty inaccurate. It’s really good on the offensive line as well - especially early and I love a lot of the secondary prospects. It’s really only weak at linebacker and edge rusher IMO. Poor was the wrong word. Blindy said backloaded which much better describes it.

I think it’s worth a shot to find a left tackle that can fill in for Tunsil and maybe groomed to take over for him, I don’t trust Tunsil staying healthy and motivated. There’s times where he looks great and times where I feel like his hype and market value don’t match up with how he plays.

My hard hitting analysis today is that there are some weird name coincidences in this year's class. There's Fautanu, Fuaga and Fashanu at OT and then Rome and Roman at WR. NFL script writers getting a bit lazy? :suspic:
Edit: oh and Bo Nix and Penix as well!

My Packers board for my favorites for the team realistically.
Round One - Cooper DeJean - Graham Barton - Trade Down - Kool Aid McKinstry
Round Two - Edgerrin Cooper - Jordan Morgan - Junior Colson - Jayden Hicks - Cole Bishop - Javon Bullard
Round Three - Max Melton - Andru Phillies - Jaylen Wright - Blake Fisher - Cooper Beebe - Roger Rosengarten - Tykee Smith
Day Three - DAD - Isaiah Adams - Khyree Jackson - Malik Mustapha - Cedric Gray - Decameron Richardson - Kamal Hadden - Trevin Wallace - Kitan Oladapo - Beaux Limmer
Plus there’s some project edges I really like sprinkled through. Along with a bunch more players.
Oh I forgot Christian Haynes in the second. There’s a handful of linemen I like in the middle rounds.

Blindy's 2024 NFL Draft(MOCK)1) CHI- QB Caleb Williams, USC(Duh.) 2) WSH- QB Jayden Daniels, LSU(Looking likely, think this whole recent turn of events of Daniels camp not feeling respect by DC is a mild smokescreen. Curious if this at all lingers during contract talk.) 3) NE- QB Drake Maye, North Carolina(Nobody meets the Pats asking price so they pick a QB who can use a year to learn under Brissett. Pats hoping to never pick this high again.) 4) ARI- WR Marvin Harrison Jr, Ohio State(Cards asking price is substantial and MIN doesn't want to let go of the 23rd pick, so no one meets the asking price. Cards go BPA and get a potential no.1 WR for Kyler Murray. MHJr who did little to nothing this pre-draft process is rewarded, credit to him.) TRADE # 15) MIN(via LAC)- QB JJ McCarthy, Michigan(The obvious trade ends up happening as McCarthy's former coach send his championship winning QB a nice Top 5 payday thank you. Chargers don't get the other Vikings pick but get 11, a 2nd this year and next year's 1st from Minnesota. Vikings get McCarthy, potential day 1 starter, should beat Sammy D.) 6) NYG- WR Malik Nabers, LSU(Giants win big with the trade up as the Chargers give up the shot to draft Nabers. Feel like the whole "Nabers is high maintence, worries about the big city" is one of those Joe Schoen smokescreens, he learned it from the best in Buffalo for the Josh Allen snipe shot on draft day. Who knows but whose complaining, NYG get a YAC machine and toy for Daboll & Kafka to work with) 7) TEN- OT Joe Alt, Notre Dame(Very predictable and boring pick, but a vital one to see if you got something in Will Levis. Maybe being too tall is worrisome on Alt but the technique and fact he's only 21 and still progressing as a player is an easy gamble to take for the Titans.) TRADE #2
8) LAC(via ATL)- WR Rome Odunze, Washington(New Chargers brass are working these phones very hard, the trade back to get more ammo in the future following it up by moving up 3 spots to get arguably the guy they'd want after Harrison Jr is masterclass. Atlanta wants defense and knows they're about to get slapped on the wrist in 2025 NFL Draft via tampering so they get LAC's 4th this year and a 2nd next year. Win win.) TRADE #3
9) NO(via CHI)- OT Olu Fashanu, Penn State(Saints have to get aggressive and not take the chance that NYJ, or LV or DEN get their near surefire guy at LT. Derek Carr needs blindside protection and with Penning a RT fail away from the bench and Ramczyk's career in jeopardy, there's no fooling around here. Bears also are Team defense with the big 3 WR gone so get some much needed ammo which they lack after round 1, Saints give up their 2nd and get CHI's 3rd this year as Loomis goes very hard here in the deal. Move up 5 spots in round 1 at the cost of moving down 30 spots on Day 2.) TRADE #4
10) IND(via NYJ)- TE Brock Bowers, Georgia(This might be crazy to see this many deals happening on draft day but I really believe Steichen loves Bowers and knows the Broncos and potentially Bears are monkey wrenches to this so giving the Jets a 3rd this year and a 3rd next year, they no doubt get their top gun as they try their best to make life super easy for Anthony Richardson. I think Jets want Odunze and Fashanu and maybe value the other OT's a bit lower so they will gamble in 5 spots.) 11) ATL(Via LAC via MIN)- DE Laiatu Latu, UCLA(The 1st potential surprise here, I think Latu's neck being cleared means he's going to be the 1st defensive player off the board and think he can get out the gates and threaten to be a double digit sack machine. Similar story as Jaelen Phillips of Miami who was told to call it quits due to health woes only to shine and make it to round 1. Cool story) TRADE # 5
12) PHI(Via DEN)- CB Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo(Win now window in Philly is no joke and the Eagles need youth at cornerback as it showed really bad down the stretch, including getting bullied by the Bucs big WRs. Mitchell seems like the no doubt CB1 of the class and at the cost of 2nd & 4th round picks, Philly is swinging for the fences by getting a potential shutdown cornerback. Broncos have no 2nd but thanks to this trade, can have some fun in round 2 again, even if they're dropping a whopping 10 spots. A lot of holes and they won't look foolish if they go for a QB in round 1. Saving face.) 13) LV- OT JC Latham, Alabama(Latham has all of the tools and pedigree that Pierce would love and the Raiders are in big need of upgrading their right side of their O-Line. They will try him at RT Day 1 and if all else fails, they use him at RG. I know Leatherwood bombed so the Crimson Tide OT curse is no joke but Latham blows the former out of the water in the intangible category and it's a different regime in Vegas now.) 14) CHI(Via NO)- DT Byron Murphy, Texas(The guy they may have taken at pick 9 ends up still being here at 14 so it's good business for the Bears regime to get their guy. Bears get someone who can really make guards and centers look silly with his pass rush ability, very nice piece to the puzzle upfront in Chicago. Much needed.) 15) NYJ(Via IND)- OT/OG Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State(Joe Douglas reportedly loves Fuaga and his close buddy Daniel Jeremiah even says this is the type of guy Douglas loves. OT/OG depth is needed so much here and I know Fuaga might not start out the gates but he becomes a valuable piece if a tackle were to go own. Fuaga should be the RT of the future, he plays very mean & has the tools to be a killer as a run blocking out the gates. Could challenge Simpson on Day 1 as the LG for opening day.) 16) SEA- OT/OG Troy Fautanu, Washington(Obvious ties with the offensive coordinator and this being a Huskie, the Seahawks can use this swiss army knife of an O-Lineman all over their line upfront. Very safe pick but a very good one too.) 17) JAX- CB Terrion Arnold, Alabama(Jacksonville can use an upgrade at CB and Arnold could be thrown out Day 1 to start for them on the outside. Arnold seems like good value here too, they also could move up to the Broncos spot for Mitchell.) 18) CIN- OG Graham Barton, Duke(Bengals seems more worried about their OG/C over the RT duo of Trent Brown & Orlando Brown Jr. Barton is good to start inside for the Bengals in the interior.) 19) LAR- EDGE Dallas Turner, Alabama(Pretty crazy slide for Turner who could very well go inside the top 10. Rams don't mind in the least bit though, they get a much needed front 7 guy.) TRADE # 6
20) SF(Via PIT)- WR Brian Thomas Jr, LSU(Cover your ears pduh as Aiyuk is on the move to Pittsburgh. He was last seen dancing after seeing St. Brown sign his monster deal with Detroit the day before the draft, I think the 49ers understand they can't pay everyone here and send him to the deal that's willing to give up the best package which will be Pittsburgh here. Steelers get at worst their Robin to Batman(Pickens) and move down 11 spots and also give up 2025 draft picks to make this happen. SF gets a project at WR but someone who could really do wonders in that Shanahan offense, especially if he's not being relied upon as "THE" guy.) 21) MIA- OT/OG Tyler Guyton, Oklahoma(I think Guyton can offer up enough versatility and also be arguably one of the best BPA available where the pick makes a lot of sense for a team that simply has to protect Tua and keep this well oiled engine of an offense going. McDaniel and co. can't get cute with another toy at WR, this is a safe even if somewhat boring of a pick.) 22) DEN(Via PHI)- EDGE Jared Verse, Florida State(I trust in Allbright who is somewhat in the know with Denver stuff on not just the trade down & it's partner but who Denver would take here. Denver really needs everything and he seems to think Bo Nix isn't going on Thursday. I can see Denver get the hot finger in trading up on Friday for Nix if he's there. Verse would start day 1 and be relied upon to put pressure on the opposition.) 23) MIN- DT Johnny Newton, Illinois(Vikings got to keep this pick and I think will address in interior on defense and get a good ol' gamewrecker upfront in Newton. The game is won in the trenches!) 24) DAL- OT Amarius Mims, Georgia(Still think this is a good fit as Mims is a legit behemoth and should be the Cowboys future RT for years to come. Scouts win over Jerry with this man's size even if he doesn't have a whole lot of starting experience) 25) GB- S/CB Cooper DeJean, Iowa(Super boring & vanilla pick, pun intended. It's an obvious pick that if he makes it this far, he fits the defense really well. Typical Packers pick, Van Ness & DeJean reunited again.) 26) TB- CB Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama(Todd Bowles and company opt to get more talent in the secondary, Bucs have a lowkey need at the cornerback spots, they are thinking Bryce Hall could challenge for a starting gig! Kool-Aid might not have track star level speed but he's a good coverage corner who earned a lot of respect trying to do the combine with a messed up foot.) TRADE # 7
27) NE(Via ARI)- WR Ladd McConkey, Georgia(I really like the Josh Allen/McConkey fit in Buffalo and the Bills in this mock are 1 pick away from that happening....until their division rivals play spoil to the idea. Pats give up 34 and their 3rd this year to get this pick and Arizona's 5th this year, all to get someone who can simply get open for Brissett and eventually Maye. Patriots under this new regime get aggressive and Arizona gets their desired trade down even if it's with the later of their 1's.) TRADE # 8
28) BAL(Via BUF)- CB Nate Wiggins, Clemson(Hits a need and one of the BPA available, Ravens aren't complaining with losing a 4th this year and 5th next year. Bills have a lot of holes and depth issues so they may focus on quantity>quality, especially if the guy they wanted got sniped from under. Probably some medical paperwork would need to be checked off but seems like a good fit for this Ravens group who can use another outside cornerback, especially with how much wear & tear Humphrey has on him. Lions are interested in cornerbacks so Ravens who rarely do this, make a 2 pick jump up to secure their guy.) TRADE # 9
29) WSH(Via DET)- OT Patrick Paul, Houston(Every year there are a couple of WTF picks that happen this might be it. I am in with Allbright who thinks Paul is a lock round 1 and I like the fit here. Patrick Paul has the size and amount of starts to be make it work in Washington who now have to focus very hard on protecting Daniels. Patrick Paul's older brother is on the team too so cool story with the brothers now together in DC. Detroit just paid Sewell & St. Brown big time deals so if they can not have another 1st round salary on their books and can move down 7 spots and get the final pick of the 3rd round, pick 100, they're doing it. Think DET would have wanted Wiggins if available but they #GotSniped.) 30) BUF(Via BAL)- WR Xavier Worthy, Texas
(Can't teach speed and the Bills think Josh Allen's big arm can be paired with otherworldly speed of Worthy. WR is too big of a need to ignore here, would not be stunned if the Bills find a way to try and get Tee Higgins on draft day from Cincinnati even if the Bengals may still think Higgins can be signed long term...eventually. Bills get extra picks in the minor trade down and get a vertical threat that they lost in Gabe Davis.) 31) PIT(Via SF)- OG/C Jackson Powers Johnson, Oregon(Steelers in this mock get Aiyuk and after dropping far into round 1, end up getting interior O-Line help with the Oregon duck. He's a work in progress after making the unconventional leap from DLine to OLine, but JPJ hits home a big time need on that O-Line. May start at center day 1 for the Steelers if he does his part. Russell Wilson will like this one.) 32) KC- OT/OF Jordan Morgan, Arizona(Pretty safe pick but the defending champ Chiefs bolster their O-Line and give Mahomes a big man to protect him. Morgan can play quite a few spots on the offensive line which is a nice coup, he's sort of the "Johnny on the spot" sort of player here)

If your Arizona, why subject yourself to this? The contract after the draft is going to be hairpulling and all of the contracts after this seem like they will be a tug of war. Just take Nabers and not someone who has been ducking this entire draft process plus.

He said that he asked teams if they wanted him to do testing and they all said no, it's not like he's being recalcitrant. This licensing thing is just about third parties making money off his name, a complete non starter of a story.

I hope Niners at some point of the draft a oline gotta need to revamp the oline Trent Williams is not getting any younger same with Jake Brendal and Colton McKivitz is terrible and Brufford is meh. I will be happy either Jordan Morgan or Barton with our pick my dream is to trade up and draft Mims.
Wouldn’t mind draft a corner either with our first rounder I don’t want to see Ambry Thomas on the field ever again.

He didn't do anything during the predraft process and no showed a press conference, much like with Caleb Williams, he knows he's a top guy so he has the ball in his court. 99% of people never give an issue with this licensing stuff, why is MHJR now suddenly trying to show some resiliency. I would imagine the Cards ownership would love to sell his jersey ASAP and get some profit from the player(In addition to whatever Harrison Jr would get). If Arizona is going to give him everything from the get go, this will just become a frustration at some point during the rookie contract or heck even future negotiation.

I actually don’t disagree with Blindy. Not saying he shouldn’t or won’t be drafted early but I could see him being a gigantic headache even on his rookie deal. Even more so if he goes to a bad team or franchise.
I like Odunze the more even though MHJ is still going to be taken first.

Jaden Daniels is going to get killed because of that offensive line. Poor kid.
Drake Maye = Danny Dimes. When we going to learn not to draft a QB from a basketball school. Duke, North Carolina.
I don’t know.
I’m way too pessimistic with these first three picks. I’m bound to be wrong. I just don’t think New England had to draft a QB there. Feels forced and rushed. Draft Marvin Harrison Jr and sign a vet to compete with Zappe and just suck again and get a QB next season. Missing out on a superstar right here for Drake Maye just feels stupid.
