Pretending to be African American? You’re going to have to expand on that one, friend. Usos never embraced their island heritage. They got the ink, but still not leaned into it at all. GoD did. Despite all of them being from Florida really. When GoD had the facepaint on they looked like mean fuckers that would gut you and eat your heart. I hope for big matches they bring the paint back.

Pretending to be African American? You’re going to have to expand on that one, friend. Particularly during the " Smackdown Live " era, they spoke, and still speak in ebonics, the way they dressed and presented themselves was inspired by African American street culture compared to their island boys gimmicks. It's toned down now as compared to what it was back in 2016 onwards, but it was certainly obvious where the inspiration came from.

The opening tag match was wild, wouldn't have expected anything that entertaining from those four men. Tama Tonga definitely looks revitalised. What an absolute menace he is. Speaking of menace, I did not get that vibe from Tanga Loa at all. A nice surprise but his presentation did not match Tama and Solo.
The women's tag title match was decent, far more competitive than I was expecting. Unfortunately it fell apart in the third act with Bianca selling and Jade against both Kabuki Warriors. Asuka made a blind tag and Kairi/Asuke seemed to forget about it while the referee did not. Then a few minutes of fumbling as nobody had any idea what to do. Fortunately they brought it back with that god tier finish from Jade.
The main event was great, a nice back and forth match. The result was never in doubt but they put on a good show.

For some reason, I always got the vibe that was WWE/the Usos very pointedly saying it's the 21st century and we aren't doing ooga booga savage islanders, we're modern Samoans and will act like contemporary young Samoan men act in this day and age. A schtick born of its time, perhaps, but only because the time right before that was problematic.

The French fans put most U.S. fans to shame.
