You want to talk about the end of an era? After 32 years, Cartoon Network shuttered its doors in the states. Apparently there’s no truth to the rumor

Apparently there’s no truth to the rumor It was trending big time on Twitter the other day. Yeah, but there’s nothing to back it up.

I'll tell you this. The day they drop Toonami (again), is the day Cartoon Network dies.

You want to talk about the end of an era? After 32 years, Cartoon Network shuttered its doors in the states. My girls have never watched the Cartoon Network, they have no concept of having to wait until a certain time to watch a particular show. I do love my girls, but all of these tendencies lead to a mindset of instant gratification. It's not just your girls, it's entire generations. The world is literally at their finger tips.

Cable was obsolete for younger people by at least the early 2000s via torrents. Then streaming and on demand pretty much spoiled us all. Half the time every weekly series get leaked anyway.

Here in Oz, they used to premiere movies on either Saturday or Sunday night, and it felt special - now, I don't think I've waited for more than a few days after release to watch a big new release.
Similarly they used to show the Star Wars or Back to the Future trilogy over a weekend or a few weeks and you had to be home to see it. This was even before everyone had 3,000 DVDs in their house and owned every movie they ever saw.

I was a big fan of Kids' WB. There is something about scheduled programming, vs. "on demand" streaming, that makes the viewer want to see the product. I continued watching that block of cartoons until it ended its run, as Vortexx, in 2014. A lot of those shows I could stream, but I just don't.
As far as Mac Donald's (Cleveland voice), ordering a McDouble used to be cheaper than a Double Hamburger. I think it was two for three (?), and two double hams were, like, five bucks. Always used to order two McDoubles plain, no cheese to save money lol ...
Had McDonald's for the first time in a few years last week. McDouble trick is no longer in effect, sadly. 😂

Picture of shirtless morbidly obese man This dude is no longer morbidly obese and Mr.Beast is getting cancelled, what timeline am I in? Scrolling YouTube one day and saw a 6 hour video about his life and vids, laughed thinking who would watch that. Finished it in two sittings

Are we really being fooled this man had 2 years worth of video content to release, while he lost weight?
Hmm I've a feeling that Ozempic or whatever it's called has a helping hand.

We can't let them get away with it. ...Tf is this shit!? World at their fingertips, caprisuns with goddamn caps on them instead of having to play a binary game of Operation just to quench one's thirst... Ungrateful little shits. No wonder boomers became so bitter.
