Adam Copeland may have suffered a pretty bad injury with that ridiculous steel cage jump from above, all do barely graze Black in that match that most have forgotten due to the Anarchy in the Arena.
On the flip side, he's going home to Beth and kids with a 7 figure contract so not all is lost.

Not seen anyone willing to confirm any injury actually happened to Adam, just people guessing he was hurt from the elbow drop.

Looks like he just didn’t commit to the move and fell straight legged and since he so tall his feet hit the floor before his body could hit the table/Black and slow him down. If that’s what happened, I can understand how he got injured.

Well reporters are now split into two groups. Group 1 is he broke his leg on that spot. Group 2 is he blew out his knee. This is not how severe is the injury, it is straight out guessing what part of him could be injured.

Do Japanese fans really care if their guys lose in a PPV whose canonical status is slightly questionable? Surely wrestling's scripted nature has to be known worldwide now.
also slightly unhinged take: Forbidden Door is becoming like WWE's Hell in a Cell, where it would be a huge deal if these almost never happened, but is becoming routine "oh it's that time of year again" and pretty watered down as a result
I don’t think it’s unhinged, I think it makes sense. It should be something like Raw Roulette that pops up every so often when it makes sense, if they’re going to run into issues each year about who goes over.

So that’s the TNT title vacated then. I wonder if they will just run a match and have Malakai win it, or if they’ll hold a tournament or something.
That’s a bad injury to take. He’ll be out a good 6-8 months. No Wembley for Edge.

Should just leave the title on Cope, but imagine the network will be upset about it not being on TV for nine months.

Ospreay vs Strong was fine. Decent opener. Ospreay winning is not much of a surprise, but suddenly all of AEW's midcard titles are being won by top card guys. Feels a bit strange. But it's intriguing to see where they go with it.
------------------------
MJF return. A nice surprise, but to be honest I was underwhelmed by the whole segment. Everything MJF did make sense. Low blow to Adam Cole, the promo. It was all good, but my feeling was "meh". The best comparison I can make is when The Rock returned last year, interrupting Jinder Mahal, and did all his usual shtick. Was it entertaining? Yes. Did I care? Did I want more? No. Turns out I'm pretty tired of MJF's character and a long break didn't help. I bet he's going to do that Kangaroo Kick bullshit in his next match.
------------------------
Toni Storm vs Serena Deeb was a real swing and a miss. In a way it's similar to their storyline - they tried to force something big to make it more interesting when it wasn't justified. In the case of the build, they shoehorned some personal topics which didn't get over. In this match they both threw the kitchen sink at each other, with a bunch of unearned finisher kick outs. Deeb kicking out of Storm Zero, Storm kicking out of Deeb's finisher on the apron AND finisher in the ring. Seconds after that Storm is up on the top rope to hit two more Storm Zeros. Didn't work for me. I really like Serena Deeb but this whole feud was just off.
------------------------
The Orange Bollocks/Trent Barreta feud is pretty good on paper , I am just so indifferent to either guy that I'm going to skip no matter what they do. Plus I can't take Orange Bollocks seriously in any kind of blood feud.
------------------------
Not gonna lie, I like Jericho's new gimmick. He leaned into his reputation as a veteran with everything to give, and his personality as an oblivious egocentric, birthing a fun and fresh character.
------------------------
FTW triple threat was silly fun, just as intended. Shibata embracing all the weapons so readily is entertaining to watch.
------------------------
Moxley vs Takeshita. Pretty good. I enjoyed it. People predicted Takeshita would win, and it seemed to be going that way, but a nice swerve at the end led Moxley to victory.
------------------------
Bloody hell this is a long show. Just over halfway through. I would have finished King and Queen of the Ring by now. How did you guys watch all this live?
------------------------
Copeland vs Black is skippable, except for the moment where Edge broke his leg. One moment please.
Jeez. What was that? The camera angle was poor, making it look like a flying nothing, but the table clearly broke. Not sure why Edge landed directly on his feet. Was that the moment he broke his leg? And he wrestled the rest of the match? Bloody hell.
The rest looked like a lot of Wrestlecrap, Black passed out instead of tapping out which is a way overused finish.
------------------------
Willow Nightingale vs MISS BUSINESS CEO MONEY DOLLAR. My most anticipated match of the evening. Moné made a grand entrance to AEW and did a whole lot of nothing. A big song and dance which was received by criticism. Did Moné take this criticism and lean into her character to be more heelish, or is she oblivious, as Cody was? I'm leaning towards the latter. She has been acting more heelish, but that's because Willow has become one of the most over acts in the company in an alarmingly quick time. Moné adapted to Willow's rise rather than being self-aware.
Anyway, it's Moné's first AEW match in the company, her first in a very long time. I assume the initial plan was to have Moné come in and take gold immediately, just as Okada and Ospreay did. I really hope they pivot on that decision because Willow has never been hotter, and Moné is far from hot. But seeing Stokely and Kris at ringside, I'm sensing that they turn to cost Willow.
I say she's far from hot, the loud duelling chants say otherwise. While she has been lukewarm as a character, there is understandable excitement for her first AEW match, with such high stakes.
I loved the match, not the result. Moné busting out some great lucha at the start, then nice psychology with both women attacking each other's legs. Great transitions between technical and power and speed sequences. Willow seemed to have difficulty lifting Moné on multiple occasion which is unusual. In the end they went for what I would describe as a copout finish. Willow hits the Doctor Bomb but her crew distract the referee stopping her from making an immediate count. Moné later wins by impressively hitting her own finish.
Immediately as I start thinking "back to square one for Willow", Statlander turns on her, in a move I should have expected but didn't. Fair enough. That's a good next feud to have.
------------------------
I tap out. I can't watch any more wrestling.

Anarchy in the Arena was absolutely insane. Never seen anything like it. They really excelled, everything from the music at the start, to the sillier spots, gradually escalating to some extreme moments. I was critical of the flamethrower on Dynamite but they actually pulled the trigger on the PPV, fantastic moment. The one thing I found odd was Danielson vanishing for most of the match.
I was genuinely concerned for Darby being hung upside down for, what, 10 minutes? Isn't that dangerous?

I was genuinely concerned for Darby being hung upside down for, what, 10 minutes? Isn't that dangerous? It's extremely dangerous. The crowd clued in and that's why they started chanting. I'm legit shocked they let it go on that long, it was all I could think about during the finish of the match. That much blood rushing to your head can kill you. If you notice the referee lifts his head up and holds him in that position when they are trying to lower him down. I'm very surprised he didn't pass out. Blood pooling anywhere in the body is extremely bad. It's something we learn about in fall arrest training. Yeah the harness will save you from death, but hanging there with your full body weight pushing on your harness will trap blood in your legs and you can die if you are left there for too long. If you end up hanging upside down it is extra bad. You have to have a second and third rescue plan in place in case you fall. Here in Alberta it is actually illegal to operate a lift without a second person spotting you. Anyway, Darby is fine, even if that was pretty stupid to leave him there that long. The double super kick to him hanging upside down looked brutal, even if it didn't have the desired affect (Darby pouring blood all over the ring like when Age of the Fall did the same thing to the Briscoes).
