Slam Wars
A long, long time ago, in a galaxy not that much unlike our own...
The United States Wrestling Federation is in danger of being destroyed by a seismic force known as The Apocalypse. A task force has been established to counter The Apocalypse known as The Resilience. However, the most likely leader of The Resilience is a hero ready to ride off into the sunset. He has vowed to leave the Federation forever when he loses the World Heavyweight Championship. He is determined to leave the industry on his own terms.
Ambassadors from The Queen’s Royal Sportsmen have offered to help in the fight against The Apocalypse. They fear if the Apocalypse is successful in destroying the USWF, the QRS could be next. The Resilience, having fought against the Queen’s Royal Sportsmen in the past, aren’t quick to trust the proposed aide. They have asked the Sportsmen to prove their loyalty.
There are others. A legitimate cowboy, war hero, and respected veteran offered to take the reigns of The Resilience, but his offer was denied. Questions of his ability in the twilight of his career disqualify him from a leadership he certainly could’ve commanded in his prime. The people still believe in him, and more importantly, he believes in himself. A fast talking kid from the streets who always missed his ride on the road to the top. He wants to fight, but some question his experience. No one questions his heart. There are more who are perceived to be sympathizers to The Apocalypse. Unsatisfied with their station in The Federation, they believe their status will improve under a different regime. There are others still who just come to work for a paycheck and don’t care who signs it.
If The Apocalypse is successful in taking down the United States Wrestling Federation, the future is uncertain. They are a powerful force who promise pain, agony, and chaos. It will be a grim future for the fans of the United States Wrestling Federation.

Frustrated by his own stagnating career in the men's division, over one year ago Prince Nana embarked on a world tour to find a woman he could lead to championship gold. In the jungles of the Amazon rainforest, he abducted Jungle Grrrl to be his weapon of mass destruction. The South American highflyer served as both fighter and footstool for the arrogant Ghanaian until her old boyfriend from the rainforest, Jungle Boy, rescued her from the clutches of the evil prince. It was a heartwarming story of a young man traveling over 3,000 miles to save his damsel in distress.
Frustrated and now outnumbered, Nana wrote to his old friend Queen Elizabeth II imploring her for aid. After some good-natured ribbing from Queenie, including chastising Nana over not bringing in her favorite, The Warlord, The Queen offered to send over the current bane of her existence, Godiva. Queen Elizabeth was glad to be rid of the young lass from Coventry who was causing one scandal after another in Buckingham Palace. If she wasn't riding around the grounds naked, she was corrupting Princesses Margaret & Anne, or getting caught in bed with many a young gentleman. Her antics have not let up on this side of the pond. In a break from the norm, it is now the woman who rules over Nana as Godiva has the prince wrapped around her finger. She's even used him as a footstool a time or two! And much of Nana's famed shrimp cocktail is now being consumed by Godiva's horse!
Yeah, there's match here, but who really cares about that when I've got Princes, Horse-Riding Nudists, and Jungle Couples I can be writing about? Here are some gifs to meet the two wrestlers I'm sure you are unfamiliar with...
Lawler. Jarrett. Godiva. Only the coolest wrestlers ride horses to the ring.
The dreaded Buckingham Bounce! Jungle Grrrl will have to watch out for this.
2. Mistresses of the Powerbomb (Wendi Richter & Judy Martin) vs. Sultry Sidekicks (Mariah May & Patti Pizzazz)
Judy calls it the Drip Dry
Wendi calls it....the Powerbomb. How original!
No Patti gif because the best Patti Pizzazz video has vanished, but she's a cheerleader (duh) who is not very bright.
Mariah May is Toni Storm's understudy
Patti & Mariah became fast friends despite the fact that it was hate at first sight between their respective leading ladies. More on that later. This is a complicated quadrangle so pay attention. Patti is Lana's lackey. Lana has beef with Judy. Mariah is Toni's lackey. Toni has beef with Wendi. So, Lana & Toni are using their lackeys to take out their rivals. Got it?
3. Power Team USA (Reggie Bennett & Terri Power) vs. Big Island Babes (Nia Jax & Mt. Fiji)- Fan Favorite Friendly
WWF has Hogan & Warrior. WCW has Sting & Luger. Women's Wrestling has Reggie & Terri. They're the popular patriotic powerhouses who rule the roost. But...
They're up against the large and in charge duo of Mount Fiji & Nia Jax. So, you've got the strongest tag team against the biggest tag team. In other words, the irresistible force meets the immovable object...a pair of Hogans vs. a pair of Andres. Dimes will be drawn. Anyway, here is former Olympic shot putter Mount Fiji...
4. Atrocious Alliance (Dump Matsumoto & Aja Kong) vs. Caged Heat- Jailhouse Death Match
This one will not be for the faint of heart. There will be blood. There will be violence. There will be no rules. Only lawlessness. Match ends by pin or submission. Anything goes until then.
This match only came about because both teams regularly reach irresponsible levels of violence. A mere ring cannot contain them. Dump Matsumoto is pure evil. Like she's what the Delgado Master from classic Doctor Who thinks he is. She's a pure sadist who is happier hurting an opponent than winning while her partner Aja Kong is a 200+ pound wrecking machine who enjoys whacking people in the head with metal boxes. And Caged Heat is such a menace to society that they're imprisoned. This match is taking place in their jail! Prison typically lets them out on leave to wrestle just so they can be rid of them for a few hours!

5. Eddie Gilbert (c) vs. Jerry Lawler- KAPOW Championship- QUADRANGLE Match
From violence to ultraviolence.... These two have been warring all over the Kingdom for years with Lawler winning their early battles...
Only for Gilbert to up the ante and prevail later...
Gilbert took advantage of Lawler's internal injuries to win the KAPOW Championship after this dastardly deed. Lawler has been on the shelf for months. Gilbert has become more unhinged than ever with Lawler out of action. "Hot Stuff" has fireballed and piledriven most of the male wrestlers out of the territory while proclaiming himself the "King of Philadelphia." Even Nana has washed his hands of his former charge, opting instead to play second fiddle to Godiva.
But The King has returned! And there is only one thing on his mind- VENGEANCE! Now this should technically be a Lawlermania, but isn't for complicated reasons involving Lawler's absence and Lana Star's status as "Executive Producer and Vice President of KAPOW." It doesn't really matter.....except....
It's worth noting Lawler has a 90+% win rate at Lawlermania. That number plummets to roughly 60% outside of Lawlermania. And he does have those pesky internal injuries to worry about....And this is a Very Dangerous Quadrangle Match...
6. Lana Star (c) vs. "Timeless" Toni Storm- KAPOW Women's Championship Match
It was always going to be love or hate with these two. They're too similar to have lukewarm feelings. Both fancy themselves Hollywood starlets. Both have flunkies. Both have egos bigger than the Hollywood sign itself. Turns out hate won out. Turns out it was hate at first sight....
They met. Did that phony Hollywood kiss on the cheek thing. Each put the other over. Then they walked away. Lana to Patti: "Hate her!" Toni to Mariah: "What a bitch!" It only escalated from there. Lana was here first. This is her promotion (Lawler was out of action had bigger fish to fry...for the time being). Toni Storm is just a Lana Star wannabe in her eyes. But Toni doesn't see it that way. She's been a star since the silent era! To Toni, it's Lana who is the Janey come lately. Toni even had the gall to give Lana advice!- "Chin up. Tits out. Watch for the shoe." Then Toni threw her shoe in Lana's face. Lana was not well pleased. This is destined to be the most Pinkalicious match ever!

*Lana is SOOOO mad that Toni's pic was bigger than hers and now I have to hit send and get out of here before I get hit with the dreaded Lana Star Facelift

Number One Contenders to the World Tag Team Championships
Strike Force (Tito Santana and Ricky Martel) defeat The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs) and The Queen’s Royal Sportsmen (Nigel McGuiness and Zack Sabre, Jr.)
As a test for The Queen’s Royal Sportsmen, Nigel McGuiness and Zack Sabre, Jr. were given a special mission. Punish Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs for their refusal to publicly take a stand against The Apocalypse. The mission, however, was two parts. They were also supposed to obtain the number one contendership to the World Tag Team Championships in case those titles were won by The Apocalypse. Too focused on punishing The Nasty Boys, McGuiness and Sabre were unsuccessful in winning the match. Free from ulterior motives, Santana and Martel were able to obtain the victory. They detest The Apocalypse, but they distrust The Resilience who questioned their loyalty when they attempted to join.
Singles Match
William Regal [The Queen’s Royal Sportsmen] defeats Haku [The Apocalypse]
When a group as nasty as The Apocalypse has designated Haku as their enforcer, that tells you everything you need to know about the man. He is as bad as they come which is why it came to the surprise of many when William Regal challenged him. Eager to prove his friendship to the USWF, Regal called out the baddest of the bad. While Haku is tough and mean, Regal was able to outsmart him and pick up the victory.
Proving Respect
‘Dr. Death’ Steve Williams [The Resilience] defeats Eddie Kingston
Everyone believes Eddie Kingston wants to fight with The Resilience. He doesn’t even like anybody in The Resilience, but he hates The Apocalypse more. Dr. Death says he sees a lot of himself in Eddie in a strange way. A tough guy who never got where he was supposed to get. Eddie says Doc doesn’t understand him. Doc got everything Eddie wanted. Doc got to fight Eddie’s heroes. Kingston doesn’t want to fight Williams, he wants to fight with Williams. However, Eddie Kingston will do whatever it takes to earn the respect of a man who fought alongside his idols. He will earn the respect of Dr. Death, or he will fight until Williams lives up to his nickname. Eddie fights until he can’t fight anymore, but he can’t beat Williams. After the match, Doc raises Eddie’s hand and praises the kid for fighting hard, but Kingston scoffs and says he didn’t fight hard enough.
United States Heavyweight Championship Match
Bam Bam Bigelow [The Apocalypse] defeats Kerry Von Erich [The Resilience] ©
Kerry Von Erich joins The Resilience on principle. He has faith that good will triumph over evil. His father taught him that right always defeats wrong. He would slay The Apocalypse even if he had to do it all by himself. He was happy to join The Resistance. He vowed to protect the United States Heavyweight Championship. Bam Bam Bigelow is here with strict orders. The Apocalypse has been hired to bring an end to the United States Wrestling Federation. They are performing a hostile takeover, and the only option is to join or be destroyed. Kerry Von Erich fought with all of his heart, but he could not protect his championship. After an assist from Haku, Bam Bam Bigelow won the United States Heavyweight Championship.
World Tag Team Championships
Vader and Sid [The Apocalypse] © defeat John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield and ‘The All American’ Ron Simmons [The Resilience]
The first strike of The Apocalypse was the arrival of Vader and Sid. They dominated the tag team division and won the World Tag Team Championships with ease. They were both monsters, and together, they basically did whatever they wanted to do. John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield wanted to play politics to keep The Apocalypse out of the USWF. He petitioned the Board of Directors to have them arrested. He didn’t want them signed to contracts. He wanted them banished. Finally, his former tag team partner ‘The All American’ Ron Simmons said the only way to beat The Apocalypse was in the ring. He wanted to fight them. Convinced by his old friend, JBL began building The Resilience, and he promised Ron Simmons they would capture the World Tag Team Championships away from The Apocalypse. He did not fulfill that promise. Early in the match, Layfield was taken to the back with a possibly broken arm. Simmons tried to fight Vader and Sid, but he was no match. Finally, the crowd erupted as Layfield came fighting through a swarm of medics and producers to save his partner, but he was too late. After three Vader Bombs, The Apocalypse kept the World Tag Team Championships.
Texas Death Match
Gunther [The Queen’s Royal Sportsmen] defeats Terry Funk
One thing you never want to do is piss off a Texan. Terry Funk came to The Resilience and asked them to designate him as their leader. After much deliberation, JBL said they didn’t want the Legend in the front line of fire. Funk was insulted by this. He knew he was still strong. He knew he could still fight. One night, Terry Funk announced if he couldn’t lead The Resilience, he might as well join The Apocalypse. The Queen’s Royal Sportsmen came out to try and talk some sense into Terry. They said his friends were well meaning, and everyone needed to stay on the same page. Terry Funk said he wanted a war, and if he couldn’t fight a member of The Apocalypse, he wanted the next baddest guy out there. He challenged Gunther to a fight. When the Ring General politely declined, Terry spat on him. He said he needed to prove himself. He needed to prove he could fight. The spit sent Gunther into a rage who brawled with Funk, and when the contract was drawn up, Terry made it a Texas Death Match. The men brawled all over the building. Weapons were not really used until a desperate Funk tried to break Gunther down with a steel chair. He was still no match for the Ring General who mercifully made sure Funk couldn’t answer the ten count. At the end of the match, Gunther almost looked like he had a hint of pity in his eyes. Almost.
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Stan Hansen [The Apocalypse] defeats Bryan Danielson ©
Bryan Danielson held a press conference. He announced that after discussing it with his wife and kids, he would be retiring from in-ring competition as soon as he lost the World Heavyweight Championship. He said he was proud of his career, but he wanted to step away while he could still walk away. About a month after the press conference, The Apocalypse arrived. Five monsters funded by a mysterious investor. They were sent to destroy the United States Wrestling Federation and allow their investor to move in on the territory. Danielson was asked his opinion on The Apocalypse, and he said he did not have one. He would be retiring soon, and his only focus was on defending the World Heavyweight Championship. When JBL asked him to lead The Resilience, he said no. However, then, Stan Hansen became Number One Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. Hansen said they were sent to break bodies and make money. Everyone knows champions make more money, so he would take great pride in stripping Bryan Danielson of the World Heavyweight Championship. Danielson said whoever beat him for the title would be the greatest professional wrestler of all time, and it would be someone he respected. He said he did not respect Hansen, so there was no way Hansen could beat him. Danielson called his foe a monster and reminded people that he had made a career of slaying monsters. Hansen promised Danielson he would break his promise to his wife and kids. When their match was over, not only would Bryan Danielson not walk away from the business. He would never walk again. Hansen and Danielson had an absolute blood bath. Danielson used his speed and technical prowess to dominate Hansen. Pure power and a total disregard for the rules made up Hansen’s playbook. After several nearfalls and submission attempts, the match was declared a sixty minute time limit draw. Bryan Danielson refused to have the match end in a draw. He said the people deserved to have a winner and demanded five more minutes. Officials agreed, but as soon as the bell rang, Hansen leveled Danielson in the back of the head with a lariat and pinned him.
After the match, Danielson was in denial. He said the match ended in a draw, and he was still the champion. He said he wasn’t ready to retire. He said he couldn’t retire. He said with God as his witness he would not leave the United States Wrestling Federation until The Apocalypse was slain.
