Big test for Ethan Page. He was one of those blue chip signings that never quite paid off in AEW, but the WWE have made a statement right away and thrown him right into the championship mix in NXT. It was difficult to discern whether Page was at fault or whether it was the booking, but if he can produce something here, Page could prove a handy pick-up.

Then there's the women with three big matches for the show. Admittedly I'm bias towards PW favourite Lola, so I'm curious to see what she can dish up against Shayna. I think I'm the only person who didn't instantly hate Ronda/Shayna from SummerSlam, so I'm down for some more bloodsport action here. Jordynne Grace is certainly having a break-out year and she should be able to add to her legacy when she takes on one of the most talented up coming wrestlers in Roxanne. Hopefully she kills it and it opens up the door for more of these inter-promotional matches. It would be great if the WWE gave back to TNA as well since they've performed such an important role in the Pro Wrestling ecosystem.

Think it is pretty telling that half of this PPV is either Indy/TNA signed talented(Page is now NXT though) or veterans like O.C. or Michin or Shayna. There's two groups in NXT, ones who have been developed and ones that HBK and co. are afraid to let go deep into the water.

I'm curious to see how wrestling translates to the Apex Centre. I hope it doesn't look and feel like a covid era show.
