One thing I've been seeing a lot of searching wikis is they are naming --the grand slam winner. And you can even compare it to the championship section of other talents. The territory guys have lots of varying. Like there's gotta be 30 titles that Lawler was just juggling at any given time. When those died, sure guys won titles but it wasn't an insane amount until we moved the modern era of multiple world titles in a single company and then basically everyone is a grand slam winner. Enough where it's an actual accomplishment according to wiki. They also randomly give guys credit for tournaments that really weren't super prestigious or even thought of by the Raw after. Maybe they're all for vacant titles. I know KOTR has lost it's value, but you could also say MITB kinda replaced it for the reality era. Not everyone won, just like not every king went on to become stars. But most of them did, so they kinda did their job?

For instance does the Deadly Game win where Rock won his first one, giving us the first of MANY Montreal callbacks... does that count as a separate accomplishment? Do random tournaments count as a title or does it need branding like KOTR or Super Juniors to be considered an accolade to you?

Not saying use them, but as a long-time wrestling fan does it have value to you?

Agreed. There's a lot of bullshit, throw away sort of tournaments and series than I'm sure even the people who won them have forgotten about.

Alex Shelley won the Paparazzi Championship Series, it's listed on his wiki page, as if it actually matters that he won what I'm assuming was the right to carry Kevin Nash's bags.

But to your point on tournaments and series or matches having little prestige. Im generally impressed the WWE is making the talent earn their way into MITB. In the past, they've literally just thrown a graphic up and said that's who's in it. Enjoy.

In a perfect WWE world, KOTR would be revitalised as an annual event as one of the 3 contender prizes.

Royal Rumble at the start of the year to set up the Wrestlemania main event.

MITB mid-year to carry storyline across the Summer, perhaps concluding with a cash in at or around Summerslam.

And then, what might be seen as a last ditch opportunity to become number one contender before The Royal Rumble, KOTR around November/December which ultimately leads to the winner challenging at The Royal Rumble.
