I also heard that he is getting the ability to leave a show after his part is through. Ie. Likely can leave Smackdown to go run a comedy club or what not.

Good for him if it's true, that must make him one of the top 10 paid or so guys in the company? Sounds like WWE was absolutely keen to not let him go work for NJPW/ROH/Brazzers and made him an offer that he couldn't say no to.

Why would they pay him so much, give him so much? He's done nothing to deserve it, and they've never really done anything with him, and he's just older and more stale now than he was before... I don't get it?
I mean, good on him if this is true. But if it is, it also makes me wonder what his peers are getting paid. Maybe all WWE Superstars are getting paid a lot more handsomely than I realize.

I think HR was right. They just don't want him to make it big elsewhere ala Cody Rhodes.

I think HR was right. They just don't want him to make it big elsewhere ala Cody Rhodes. But why? I don't understand how that's worth it. I feel like let Dolph go make whatever unimportant impact elsewhere. There surely has to be a better use of three million dollars over two years. Like bringing pyro to RAW for starters!

Yeah paying off a guy like Daniel Bryan to stay put and not draw money somewhere else makes sense. Ziggler I don't get at all, if this is the case (we don't know for sure).
I think it's more likely they're doing him a solid for being so dedicated to the company. I would be really surprised if they thought that he could leave and work in ROH or NJPW and hurt the WWE somehow by doing that.

I dont understand it either. And i really wish i could get Ziggler/Omega in New Japan... They probably didn't think Cody Rhodes would become so huge in Japan either

Cody isn't that big a star in NJPW. He's doing well domestically, thanks largely due to his merchandising deal and hopping on the Bullet Club bandwagon.
In Japan, he's basically an ROH representative that the fans can give or take. That may change with the upcoming match against Omega but for now he's virtually in the same spot he was at the height of his WWE career.

Dolph Ziggler deserves it because he is one of the best at having good matches and making people look good. The reason he isn't bigger now is he is so good at making people look good that they use him to make all their raising stars look great. And that isn't just my opinion from the sound of a few wrestlers they believe the same thing.

They just had to keep him out of NJPW:
I was wrestling at Indiana University when Dolph was wrestling at Kent State. I met him at many times as we were at the same AAU tournaments together. The guy was a a hell of a wrestler and much better than me I might add. I couldn’t be more happy for him. If he is the same guy I remember in the early 2000s he really wants to be a top guy other than just take the money than run.

Get it while you can Dolph. To me though, Dolph has kind of been phoning it in since his heel turn. He had that great feud with Miz and really he's done nothing ever since that time. No really memorable matches and his no frills gimmick isn't helping his status either. People will say that "why should he go out of his way to have great matches when the company won't push him"...simple answer, I'm a fan paying money to see a good show, he is apart of that show and should strive to put on an entertaining match. Should I really just shrug my shoulders and give him the "no push" pass for having a shit match? I don't think so.

Good for Dolph. To me he does not seem like that big of a difference make if he would go elsewhere.
