Ads are why I do not do WWE anymore. Half the shows are ads it feels like.
May is REALLY REALLY good. No clue why US feds all slept on her for so long. She slotted into this role perfectly. Imagine she will be another one that HHH tries to pick up come contract time.

I could see May being someone that turned WWE down to continue to work with friends. And AEW definitely had to boost their offer to get her, I don't doubt that for a second. She's worth every penny though.
This whole angle with Storm seemed pre-planned even before she showed up, and it helped bridge that relationship with Stardom it seems too.
No way in hell WWE didn't offer her a contract too. She is the total package.

Of course the match I wanted to watch on Twitter this morning is an hour long. Anyone have a legal way of watching it? I haven’t seen anything online so far.

Uhh I don't know about legal ways of watching the full match. If you don't want to go the pirate route then your best bet is the highlights on AEW's YouTube page. There was a 20+ minute video of highlights posted last night but I just checked and it isn't there anymore. I wonder if they pulled it and are going to re-post it? I dunno. EDIT: never mind here it is. For some reason it isn't showing up on their channel page. I had to search for it. Looks like they just posted the last 20 minutes of the match. Not highlights.

Will Ospreay and MJF worked magic together. Every second was brilliant. Fantastic performance from both men. They are both so clean and crisp in the ring, the execution and timing is flawless, dramatic selling, the works. Special shout out to MJF for all the little things he did. The facial expressions, the taunts, the mannerisms. Perhaps he is the generational talent he claims to be, more than an exceptional wrestler in a sea of exceptional wrestlers.
My prediction of a no result did not pass. I was certain it would be a 60 minute draw, but nope, the dirty pin and win with 2 seconds to go. Imagine if they fucked that up
---------------
Mercedes borrowing the Lockjaw only for it to be thwarted immediately like that is a nice touch. Great transition into the actual finish. It does beg the question why nobody else bites to escape that hold.
---------------
They had to do something big for Mariah May vs Toni Storm, lest it become a predictable, routine title defense like all of her previous matches. They raised the stakes as high as possible in the best possible way. From out of nowhere Mariah May became an enormous threat to Storm's reign. My only doubt is that in this incarnation of Toni Storm, we've never really seen her get real, just endless posturing in this character. Which is plenty entertaining, but will she be able to bring the raw emotion in a story that demands it?
--------------
At least I predicted one no-contest correctly. Darby had to climb up to the top and prepare all that in anticipation of a wild brawl between his enemies. Instead of just coming from the back and fighting like everyone else. Well, I guess the brawl was predictable, so good on him for anticipating it.

On Busted Open, they talked about it being a strong week for wresting both picked MJF vs. Will as high point but one of their downs was May getting What chanted. And a caller explained why that happen apparently AEW still is having audio issues. They were whating her and also saying we can't hear you because they couldn't hear her. Said entrance themes and learning tree segments were also low.

Apparently Foley asked this when he was given the Claw as a finisher, and was given a kayfabe explanation that when done right, you pull on some nerves which immobilize those muscles
