Kadarius Toney is currently the 9th receiver on the depth chart. Yikes. You could tell he was getting cut as soon as they were talking about giving him RB reps. I said when the trade happened that people would automatically assume he would flourish with the Chiefs (and ok they got the big SB kick return so you could argue it was worth it for that alone) but there were attitude issues that Giants fans knew about that meant no one was particularly worried about moving on from him coming back to haunt us. Ex-teammates said the reason he is perpetually injured is because he doesn't work out, he is the prototype athletic freak who doesn't have the work ethic.

It’s a shame too because I loved Toney coming out and wanted him for the Packers. Talent wise he could be special but his attitude (which was documented) just made him a washout.
We took Stokes who’s had one good year, one bad year and one injured year so …

Crazy someone would prefer Benedict Hardman over Yung Joka. I guess Toney can still have his rap career if all else fails.

We took Stokes who’s had one good year, one bad year and one injured year so … Well at least there wasn't really any particular studs at the back end of that first round. Looking at how the drafting played out for the Giants is depressing. Trading down with Chicago so they could get Fields should have been amazing for the Giants but they turned that into Toney (which they turned into Darren Waller), Evan Neal and Daniel Bellinger. They might as well have had a crack with Fields! Or picked Parsons. 🤦♀️

Time to buy some stock on Giants 5th rounder from last year, RB Eric Gray. Just runs so smooth, he's gonna give Singletary some serious fight with the amount of carries the two get.
Seeing DeVito getting some love and Giant fans want him as the QB2 over Lock, I don't get it TBH.

Though Dallas getting Parsons and not the Giants is a double whammy. Man it would have been nice for you guys because it would have opened you up to get London/Wilson/Olave instead.

And man Joe Milton the Day 3 QB is outshining Drake Maye in camp and just had some Russell Wilson esque escape run for the 1st. This vs Drake Maye checkdown dumping.

This is why no Giants fans were really upset about Saquon leaving as much as Philly like to act that they got one over on us. Gray absolutely destroyed the ankles of that DB on his long TD run, and our fifth rounder from this year Tyrone Tracy has a bit of juice too. Agree that Lock looked surprisingly terrible though, Nabers was getting wide open and he just held and held the ball.

x.com/NFL/status/1821719746846581216I know it's preseason and he's facing 3rd string talent but still, his athletic traits and god given arm strength alone should have had him go higher than round 6. I know he's inaccurate and could not cut it in Michigan but man. I like Jordan Travis a lot but Milton blows him out of the water on pure physical traits for instance. Rattler is also having a great camp for the Saints, it's to the point people think he might surpass Carr this year down the road. Lowkey take but this might be a pretty good QB class altogether. Jayden Daniels got a rude welcoming today by the nasty Jets D, can't wait to see him play this Saturday. Washington got destroyed on offense vs NYJ, they have Paul who is a natural guard trying tackle in team drills vs Will McDonald and he made McDonald look like Von Miller. I have no idea how WSH thought it was a good idea to take a QB #2 overall and not draft a tackle in the draft(They might use Coleman as a swing O-Lineman I think though?), especially with the line they have. It's Cosmi and little else. The highlight of the Jets/Commanders scrimmage is a little kid calling it that Garrett Wilson was going to burn Emmanuel Forbes good. Forbes got shades of last year all day by Garrett Wilson, wasn't even fair. x.com/Huddle_NFL/status/1821566314630000747

Paul is not a natural guard in the slightest being 6’8”. He’s a natural tackle, especially with his athletic traits. He lacks experience.

After last years output on the field it isn’t close, Hardman isn’t great but he’s also not a significant problem. I really had hopes for Toney and he definitely had moments (the TD and the punt return in the Super Bowl), but generally I didn’t like the herky jerk stuff he did and those videos last Summer were not optimal.

UT I am already in love with Agent 0, Braelon Allen. Dude is a friggin train out there, and his blitz pickup and pass catching has gotten better. Wasn't sure about throwing a rookie behind Breece Hall out the gates but Allen despite being just 20, looks so friggin' good. x.com/Underdog__NFL/status/1822315577072844860

I wish him well. Love played three plays. Deep bomb to Wicks who burned the DB off the line for a TD and the first string defense looked like they were flying around a lot more.

It always seemed likely that Bo Nix would get the Broncos starting job but he basically sewed it up with a very strong first impression today. Love played three plays. Deep bomb to Wicks who burned the DB off the line for a TD and the first string defense looked like they were flying around a lot more. Gregg has been saying for a while that Wicks is the best talent of all the Packers guys.

I love the “no #1” offense and kind of hope it keeps going because IMO it makes it much harder to defend play to play and game to game.

I watched a horrific QB battle this morning between Trey Lance (49ers fans can rest slightly easier knowing he'll never amount to anything with another team) and Stetson Bennett (Mina Kimes was hilarious on commentary burying him) throwing four terrible interceptions but then randomly going Mahomes in the dying seconds for the win:

I was stunned Kunis was on commentary, she's moving on up in the ranks.
Yeah that was a really really bad QB duel. I think Trey Lance has to consider a positional change, he can still run somewhat. Not sure how fast he is but he may seriously be someone worth while to participate in the new special team rules for Dallas or whomever if he is cut. I know Justin Fields(Who had 2 fumbles a few days ago) got clowned on about this but honestly, Lance's best bet in the NFL is converting over.
Bennett is like 27 or whatever, what you see is what you get with him. Rams better hope Stafford stays healthy because a dose of Garappolo isn't ideal at all.

Mina's been doing Rams preseason for a few years now - but yeah ESPN should definitely use her on their #2 crew rather than Dan Orlovsky.
Lance is strange because he doesn't even look that athletic when he runs, whereas Fields who you mention has actually shown elite running ability. Lance just seems like a total misevaluation, as if the 49ers got completely suckered by how good he may have looked against subpar college competition.

I'd punt Riddick TBH and would keep Orlovsky just from an analysis standpoint. Everybody gets a participation trophy when Louis Riddick calls games.
That whole college season was tough to evaluate due to COVID, like with Zach Wilson's BYU side not being able to schedule many good teams due to COVID, Lance playing in Div II meant he got a 1 game season and thus had so little college gametape to work with but the intangibles and traits were there.
That entire QB class has bombed out and Trevor Lawrence despite his contract, hasn't lived up to the "Once in a generation arm" billing either. He has his backbreaking turnovers tendencies that shot Jacksonville out of games towards their collapse(That and he was playing hurt).

x.com/Schultz_Report/status/1823065185793495465What a fucking baby. How did Joe Douglas engage with this deal and his agent on a good will hand shake to come in and getting his contract ripped up for a better payment this year with maybe down the road getting paid. I think the ball is in NYJ's court, I can see Reddick show up this year and not resign with them. Still hate to give up a 2026 3rd for this mess when we had Bryce Huff on our team the past few years.
