Some actual really good games coming out this month after a somewhat dry July. I highlighted the bigger titles of the month with the picture going to Black Myth Wukong as a possible sleeper title here. 

Games I think I am buying:



Black Myth Wukong(Unless it just bombs reviews, this is one of those games I am on the fence about. Need to see overall feel here because not much is known about this game. Love the Chinese mythology/Journey to the West/Monkey Magic feel of this game but the fact this won't be day 1 XBOX Series X makes me wonder how good the performance is.)

Famicom Detective Series: Emio: The Smiling Man(Not sure if I buy this right away since I have yet to buy the first two games that came out a few years ago for the Switch but this has potential very good Halloween VN written all over it)

Down the road on sale:
Cat Quest 3(I just beat the 1st one like 2 months ago and recently beat the 2nd one, I am pretty burnout on these games. They are good for what they are but I got burnt out for the sheer repetitiveness of them. No shot I play this Day 1)

Star Wars Outlaws(MAYBE if I do the Ubisoft Subscription but don't really have a good feeling about the gameplay of this one but maybe it is a pleasant surprise)


Concord has BOMBA of 2024 written all over it. Maybe Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will still have it beat when it's all said and done but man Sony has legit buyer's remorse written all over their foreheads with this one. 

The Star Wars: Bounty Hunter PS4 port was kinda messy due to the controls being the classic controls back from the PS2. This one looks to bring modern controls which interest me greatly in this. Maybe on a sale though.

Hope a physical release follows shortly for Black Myth, been hyped about that one. Since it’s currently digital only, just Cat Quest and Outlaws for me.

Sekiro meets God of War
Addictive combat with a lot of build variety
Extremely well optimised for UE5
A lot of enemy types and bosses
7 semi-open explorable locations
NPCs can’t be killed outside of quests
More than 70 transformations for Wukong
Cons:-

No photomode
Weak story and characters
Graphical downgrade from the first reveal trailer


Supposedly a very early review of Black Myth: Wukong via Reddit. No idea if this is legit but I think this real. This game has "Stellar Blade surprise" written all over it. Gonna be a good surprise for my birthday.

Nervous about this, in large part because all of the review copies are PC versions, not PS5 versions and there's a mixed reaction to how it performed on the PC, which 9/10 times means the PS5 version will be even worse.

Once I see some PS5 coverage, I think I jump in. I still might to be honest.

Best Buy put out a B2G1 FREE Switch game promotion with Best Buy Total membership($50) that I took advantage of so......

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom(Main reason I wanted to jump on this
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D Switch version(I really wanted 2 games but needed a 3rd game and I sold my 3DS copy of this so getting this on the Switch is big even if I played and 100% this one like a decade ago, comes out January 2025)

So I am jumping into this one, Nintendo did a great idea to give you the Prologue, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are freebies to demo & play with carry over progression before the main game releases. Already down with the Prologue, simple enough 15-20 minute play. Interesting enough.
