The Baader-Meinhof phenomenon, also known as frequency illusion or recency illusion, can manifest in various everyday situations.
The most common example is: Deciding to purchase a specific car model and then seeing that same model everywhere on the road.
I am listening to Magic Pill: The Extraordinary Benefits and Disturbing Risks of the New Weight Loss Drugs Book by Johann Haria. Boy am I seeing overweight and obese people. It's disturbing.

Buying the car is the same as naming a kid. My wife proposed to us a kids name I’d never heard for our daughter and I went with it. There’s at least one more in her grade and we’ve met at least a half dozen.

My name used to be an anomaly, now I see it all the time. So far everyone has been younger so I'm still the OG.

As wrestling fans I'm sure we all see 3:16 and 6:19 on the clock a lot more than any other time.

iron maiden, & mikec, it is really funny how generational the names are. I don't think my girls have every had a: Sarah, Belinda or Amanda in their class. There is though at least two Taylor's, Zoe's and Tyler's. Which I wouldn't have had any of at school in my day.

Michael and Jason were the big names here when I was in school.
I also know many Lisa’s and Leanne’s.
My daughter wants to name her kid Ruby which is a very old fashioned name but some of them are making a comeback.

There was also two Isabelle's Boys names are worse, not many strong boys names these days

We have a few Isabelle’s, though one is “Izzy” another “Bella” and a third is “Ellie” for what they’re actually called. Also a lot of Biblical names I wasn’t familiar with, including a Boaz?
I don’t know if there are any Mike’s in my daughters grade, so one day I might not have one of the more popular US male names.

Had three Jason H's in my class for a few years in elementary school. A teacher's nightmare. Three Katies as well, but at least they had the decency to be Katie C, Katie D, and Katie R. Also knew a lot of Matts, Dans, and Brians/Bryans.

Saw three people wearing Def Leppard shirts today (you love to see it) mere days after writing about my early-mid 2000s hair metal phase right here on PW.
