Dance Of Death has got to rank up there with Skrape's debut album as the worst album covers in metal history. I remember thinking that in real time also, and remember a really corny looking music video scratching my head how do you go from such an awesome package in their reuniting Brave New World to that within a couple of short years. I feel like they just effortlessly shit something out in 2003 to have something to tour behind and get back out on the road.

As I said in this thread I wasn’t a fan of Iron Maiden but figured I’d check them out as I had the night off and might be their last tour here. So I just got nosebleed seats at
Qudos Bank Arena (formerly Acer/All Phones arena). Had to leave early to made sure I got back before sunrise but still got to see an hour 15 of their set.

It was really good, one of the best performances I’ve seen. Sounded great and I’m glad I wasn’t right up the front because it was incredibly loud. I need to get those Zound earplugs soon as I’ve been too close to speakers a few times.

Bruce was in great spirits, cracking jokes and even at one point dissing Oasis :lol:
Stage design was great and a few version of Eddie came out, getting shot by a prop gun at one point. Saw of the wrestlers I know on the camera and Sandra’s relatives were there.

I know it’s obviously common for people to wear merch but saw so much more of people wearing their merch than any other show I’ve been to, guess it pays off having cool looking stuff.

Left to get the train, train arrives. Doors don’t open. Keeps repeating that the train goes to Lidcombe but not explaining the door situation. Finally they say another train is coming and not to board this train repeatedly so the next train can come.

Of course someone boards it to groans from other passengers but then the announcement changes and tells us to get on. So due to this delay I’ve only got 1 minute to get from platform to platform at Strathfield station. Myself and another lady absolutely legged it and we made it. #Gottagofast

Driving in Sydney is a nightmare & parking is crazy expensive but the train companies do a good job of making people want to drive.

sandylea picked me up (she started a new job so couldn’t come) and I made it home before sunrise.
