So my NFC playoff teams are the 49ers, Rams, Lions, Packers, Bears, Falcons and Eagles. AFC is Chiefs, Ravens, Bengals, Colts, Texans, Bills and Dolphins. I think Josh Allen takes advantage of the slightly lesser expectations and wins the MVP, Aiden Hutchinson causes a little bit of a boilover for DPOY and Raheem Morris wins coach of the year by really getting the Falcons firing.

Dude I used to do this shit all the time writing Fan Fic draft stories and fantasy football talk. 

I would look so fucking busy at work and they all thought I was a great and busy employee. 🤣 

A new topic today because I finished this earlier than I expected: my favourite over/under predictions.

Tennessee over 6.5 - they had six wins last season and have added a boatload of talent to the roster. Even if Will Levis is just a dude rather than a real future franchise guy he has a solid group of receivers and combining that with their dynamic backs behind the Callahan-improved o-line means a floor of a decent offence.

Patriots under 4.5 - I can't see this team winning five games, their first six games are @cin, SEA, @nyj, @sf, MIA, HOU which looks like staring down the barrel of 0-6.

Broncos over 6.5 - they won eight last season so this seems strangely low. Maybe some growing pains with Nix but it's not a particularly scary schedule with the Chargers & Raiders twice plus the NFC South.

Vikings under 7.5 - you can't sell me on a Sam Darnold team getting to .500, and they are relying on defensive guys who had career years to replicate that in a new system.

Cowboys under 9.5 - since my preview post Dallas addressed their running back concerns by signing a guy who rushed for 214 yards last season on a 3.2 per carry average, and they lost DaRon Bland for at least a month which means fifth round rookie Caelen Carson is going to start at cornerback, and Dak Prescott is freely talking shit on Jerry Jones in the media. I don't like the vibes.

Also can’t see me liking the Titans over. Regardless of talent I think Vrabel got more out of his teams than ever expected and I’m not sure Callahan is remotely an upgrade. Obviously it depends on Levis but I think they are last in the division and floating right around 5-wins.

I like the Raiders over more than the Broncos over. Experienced though not great QB and a really good defense that could accidentally win a game or two. Four games against the Chargers and Broncos, plus the NFC South.

But also I’m terrible at gambling.

10 wins is a lot for the Chargers considering they have no real receivers and a team full of injury prone guys. 

It's Bill Callahan rather than Brian who is the main reason for my Tennessee optimism. He's an elite o-line coach and that's a department where coaching makes more of a difference than personnel. He will elevate that group from league worst to at least decent and that's a huge improvement.

As an ex-Giant I want Antonio Pierce to succeed but I'm just a bit sceptical about what he brings to the table now that the "at least he's not Josh McDaniels" halo effect has worn off. And yeah it's Gardner Minshew no longer propped up by a great offensive coach.

As a Chiefs fan I want them to fall flat on their face, but the defense is a better unit than either the Chargers or Broncos have.

I remember being super excited for opening Thursday nights of football. I mean, shit my Chiefs are opening the season again.

The thing that has completely ruined my excitement is my son starts school (1st grade) the same day and I don’t want him to go back out into the world. 😔

Hmm ok UT I might be coming around on the Chargers...
