A legend amongst legends, from Darth Vader to Mufasa. A voice made of pure gold. At least he lived a long and full life, he was 93.

Baseball was life. And I was good at it... real good.
Few actors carried his gravitas. I can't think of any other actor who had such a commanding powerful voice and he breathed life into so many characters. Obviously Darth Vader and Mufasa will be the roles he'll be largely remembered for, but I'll always remember him as the surprisingly kind Mr. Mertle who had one of the greatest sports memorabilia collections put to film.
RIP James Earl Jones.

Pete nailed it. An all-time great voice and one I heard many, many times growing up due to my love of the original Star Wars trilogy, Field of Dreams, and The Sandlot. This man was synonymous with Star Wars and Baseball. That's pure. Few could deliver a speech better than JEJ. Darth Vader, Terence Mann, Mr. Mertle...
RIP James Earl Jones

RIP James Earl Jones. This is spot on. Most will only remember him for his voice roles, but this is a man who they were afraid to put in scenes with other actors, because he dwarfed them both in stature and presence. His talent was immense and he was so much more than Darth Vader and Mufasa's voice. Did you know he chose to be mute for most of his young life due to a horrible stutter, but a high school teacher helped him overcome it by reciting poetry? Some of his stage work is the finest I have ever seen and though 93 years is a good amount of years, it doesn't seem like enough when talking about people like him and Betty White. There will never be another.

My first memory of James Earl Jones was when he played the Genie in Faerie Tale Theatre's version of Aladdin.

"Heroes get remembered, but Legends never die" not said by him but the best quote in that movie. RIP James Earl Jones, you'll be forever remembered for your iconic roles, and excellent acting.
