Pick whatever world championship you want, remove someone's championship reign from its lineage, and add someone else's in its place ... The rule is that the wrestler you are adding cannot have ever held that championship.
I stuck to WWE, although you can pick whatever promotions/world championships you want. Here's what I came up with ...
OUT: Goldberg (2020); IN: Sami Zayn (Sami beats Shane)
OUT: Bray Wyatt (2019); IN: Shane McMahon (I'm a Shane mark ... and I do not shy away from it. Not sorry ... Monster heel Shane O' Mac!). 👹
OUT: Goldberg (2017); IN: Samoa Joe
OUT: Jack Swagger (2010); IN: William Regal
OUT: Great Khali (2007); IN: Mr. Kennedy
OUT: JBL (2004); IN: Muhammad Hassan (Think Hassan could have been the ultimate rival for Cena).
OUT: Vince McMahon (1999); IN: Ken Shamrock
Who are your add/drops? 🤔

Technically, you didn't have to!
I disagree with the vast majority of your picks Sting, but Joe > DA MAN! is dare I say...a fair call actually! At least it would have achieved more going forward and it wouldn't have been a ham-fisted way to push Goldberg.
Another popular one from that time period would be Shinsuke Nakamura receiving the title over Jinder Mahal. WWE was booking both RAW and SmackDown like they were seasons and Nakamura ascending to the WWE Championship would have been a more natural fit on the 'wrestling' show than Jinder Mahal. His reign sticks out like a sore thumb, especially since they would lean into AJ Styles in 2018.
There's a few obvious ones from the 90s that stick out. I wonder who is reading my mind?

but Joe > DA MAN! is dare I say...a fair call actually! At least it would have achieved more going forward and it wouldn't have been a ham-fisted way to push Goldberg. Joe/Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire set the table, and WWE just refused to serve dinner. I forgot how over Shinsuke was when he debuted on the main roster; Austin was also really critical of his booking on his podcast at the time. I actually like the Jinder Bread Man, though. 😂 ... Can anyone figure out a way to get Goldust in, or did he ever run hot enough for it to make sense? Was thinking about a place for him, but couldn't come up with one.

... Can anyone figure out a way to get Goldust in, or did he ever run hot enough for it to make sense? Was thinking about a place for him, but couldn't come up with one. OUT: Sid (WWF 1996); IN: Vader or Goldust- I was so enamored with these two in 96 that I managed to give both of them title reigns in my old fanfic project. Both make better foils for Michaels than Sid and I've explained the rest of my logic many, many times. OUT: Mike Awesome (ECW 1999); IN: RVD- Another one I've touched on in various Rebooking/ECW threads. Oh, and Original ECW Title is different than WWECW title, k? OUT: Triple H (World 2002); IN: RVD- Old school RVD fanboy post. Hell yeah! Rob never held the World Title btw. OUT: Jericho (IC 2000); IN: HARDCORE HOLLY- To make the Mandela Effect a reality. BOBCORE swooping in to steal it during the Y2J/Chyna spat even would have made sense from a story telling standpoint. OUT: Smoking Gunns (Tag 1996); IN: New Rockers- Mainly because every idea I had in 1996 should have been a reality. *fights urge to Fire & Ice post* IN: Jerry Lawler (WWF Anytime); OUT: IT DOESN'T MATTER!

IN: Jerry Lawler (WWF Anytime); OUT: IT DOESN'T MATTER! Punk and Lawler have their match in August 2012, a little more than halfway through Punk's 434 day reign as world champ. If WWE were willing to let Lawler wrestle again, would have been great if they worked off of Jerry's shoot heart attack that Punk gave him (as JBL flatly put it on commentary). Jerry ending Punk's reign, and we can keep its historic length, would have been far better than Rock beating Punk. Insofar as how long Jerry keeps the title, could just be a "gratuity run" like Shawn's final reign, and let him hold it until the next PPV. The win alone would hold in memory as a moment in time. RVD is somehow underrated despite his legend. Cornette is fairly critical of him, which I just have to chalk up to an anti-ECW bias ... makes me want to wag my finger at him like Ralphus lol. I was impressed by his promo work in his last Impact run.

sting I originally had Lawler in place of Miz. Then I realized I was doing it wrong and edited that part out. The original post went... OUT: Miz (WWE? Early 2010s); IN: Jerry Lawler- To Make Wrestling Great Again But Lawler should have BEAT The Miz. And to do that, Miz needed to be champ. Hence the stealth edit job. ========== It's not just Cornette. Lots of old schoolers, fans and insiders alike, had issues with RVD. It threw me for a loop during my early days on the internet to discover RVD was NOT universally beloved. Now I know how Young Bucks and Kenny Omega fans feel...

World Heavyweight Championship Out: Goldberg (2003) In: Booker T (beats Triple H at Wrestlemania 19)
Still one of the worst booking decisions ever made.

TNA World Championship
OUT: Mick Foley IN: Abyss (2009)
I know Abyss won the World Title, but that was when TNA/NWA had a working agreement for the NWA World Championship, Abyss never held the established TNA World Championship though, and I felt it made sense at the time for Abyss to be the champion.

As far as Booker T goes, he did hold the WCW Championship which was unified with the WWE World Championship, but WWE does not count the WCW title as a part of its lineage; he did hold the latter in 2006, but RT is boking his win in 2003 ... so we can count it on a technicality, since has wasn't champ yet. Cage is a zero because the rule is someone needs to be swapped in, but Christian is simply staying champ in his first run. Suggest the technicality above if we want to find a way to give Christian a longer reign.

Did not know that Hassan was literally a month away from beating Batista for the World Championship before he got sh*t canned. That's crazy.
