mikec what do the Chiefs see in Steele? Honestly I’ve watched all the games and nothing about him jumps off the field. With the abundance of skilled running backs everywhere it seems odd to be giving him this much of a role.

Well Perine makes sense, he’s not flashy at all but he’s incredibly reliable in all phases of the passing game.

Steele seems like a novelty.

Steele is just good enough to be propped up by KC’s crazy good O line. He won’t carry any games but he’ll do just enough for Chris Collinsworth to suck him off every week, which is what really matters.

He reminds me of the John Kuhn fascination in Green Bay forever.

Steele had a handful of flashy plays in the preseason but I’m also not a big fan. He’s fine for the position he was slotted for, a third or fourth back. But with Clyde and Pacheco out he’ll have to do a lot more for a bit.

Play might have worked if Allegier hit Bolton instead of overshoot it and come up with nothing. Not sure if ATL has a FB on the roster but that probably would have been the difference there. 

What a mess that 4th quarter was for Atlanta. They took chances and failed twice.

Chiefs defense tried really hard to give it away there on the last drive but two nice stops in a row is a winner. Can’t believe they didn’t try one crossing route on third down, it had worked so well.

Also had Patrick messed up his knee there on that second down, all I would’ve thought about was how Andy Reid being granted a timeout instead of the Falcons was what would’ve been to blame.

I’m not taking anything away from KC because they’re an incredible team but does it feel like to anyone else that when they are in close games like this they either get insanely lucky or the other team does something so fucking stupid that you’re like “wtf just happened?”

I realize saying this as a Bills fan is hilarious but seriously. I swear it happens every time. It’s so weird.

Fantasy and betting good/bad beat last night was the 3 Mahomes kneel downs.

He lost 13 yards on the 3. That is 1.3 fantasy points AND was enough to put him under his 19.5 rushing yards on betting. That knee bang up on one of the kneel downs was probably a victim shouting curses into the sky.

There’s a Chiefs guy (technically Royals guy, but he likes the Chiefs too) on Twitter who always rampages about the stats counting kneel downs as running plays and how it impacts the average yards per rush.

Double-checked and he mentioned it again yesterday. Mahomes 3 carries for 30 yards, three kneel downs for -13.
