Plans for the day? Going trick or treating,watching films or not doing anything special?

Got the house decorated and candy and comics waiting. I can only put up so much outdoor decorations though before the actual night because they got absconded with. I'll try and snap a picture when the cauldron is fired up.

I have toned down our décor due to my issue with the kids in the area and things walking away. One of my neighbors is missing their 6ft Batman. Now, they should be able to put up whatever they like, but I'd never put out something like that. That's just asking for someone to snag it. It's sad.

Boo Berry got sent back to development, kid just wasn't getting over.

Went for a bike ride and as I’m riding down the street two attractive American sounding girls stopped their car to ask me if I wanted a whole heap of food as they are giving it away.

I told them where the closest charity place & shops were and they went away, all I know is if I took a bit of that food I’d be getting a visit from Big Dick Randy and it’s not even nighttime yet.

Will be playing a D&D game that is normally scheduled on Thursdays.

There should be a legal definition to set the minimum threshold of qualifies as “spooktacular.”

Thanks for reminding me to lock my front gate tonight.

it's 3 candies per trick or treater tonight. I got the good stuff too. Butterfingers, Babe Ruth, Kit Kats, Twizzlers, Reece's etc.

God bless if you come during my therapy session(Jets football) though.

We had kids come at lunch. My neighbor got some yesterday even. I get it but come on. There's etiquette. They didn't even have costumes on which I am not a stickler about as I live in a lower income neighborhood but if you are going to shoot your shot, you better make it count. 

The boys had a blast. Went as Link and the Grim Reaper.

Beauty. Oldest went as Shadow (from Sonic cc Lony) and middle went as a Polar bear. Sooooo much chocolate!

Highlights were getting a legit chapter book from one house (pretty sure she's a librarian or resource teacher) and Pokemon cards for m another!

Had a little candy left over to eat, not as much as I was hoping. Biggest takeaway is one middle school kid who was dressed as Monkey D. Luffy was not happy that one of the 3 candies I gave him was a single kit kat bar. I'm just picking blindly out of a bag. NGL I felt bad IDK who made the decision to make just a solo kit kat bar.

Bare minimum should be 2. Kid had a gripe.

Speaking of Pokemon... the youngest dressed up as Charizard, while the oldest dressed up as Glamrock Freddy (from Five Nights at Freddy's).

So good news is we doubled the amount of kids we usually get. Bas news is I ran out of candy by 6:30pm because the last 3 years it has consistently been 70 kids and I plan for 80. A lot of older kids this year, but that's okay with me. Even had some parents. Don't care. All in good fun. 

What I do have an issue with is there was a woman who posted on a community site for North Edmonton online about kids coming to her door on the evening of Nov 1 (so the night AFTER Halloween),not dressed up looking for candy. That's weird in itself, but the issue is they came a few times all after 10pm and this woman absolutely got lambasted in the chat for bitching about it. When I stuck up for her, saying unless these kids needed help this was pure disrespect, I got lambasted. So it's okay for these kids to just come days before and after at any time? I get it could be worse and they were likely just being brats, but this shows these kids have no boundaries or respect ringing someone's doorbell after 10pm any night. OP had small children who were woken up by this and she and hubby were in their pjs just on their way to bed. I told those who were giving her a hard time in the chat to give me their addresses so I could send some kids to ring their doorbells after 10pm and see how they liked it. Ironically, no one took me up on that.

The kids should have framed it as a "candy disposal service" so you aren't tempted by leftover candy. That would be next level thinking.

Or hell dressed up in red and said 'I'm your period. Sorry I'm late.' I would have said 'well played' and given the fuckers something.

Handed out 185 pieces of candy in one hour. That's the norm here. Then some yahoo crashed into two parked cars on my street later that night. Luckily, he was caught.
