As noted, WWE NXT star Velveteen Dream took to Twitter yesterday and ranted about “indy guys pretending to be actual talent” stealing spots from the “superstars” of NXT. WWE.com later picked up on Dream’s comments, which appear to be part of a new story line for the NXT star, and below is an excerpt from the article.

Dream, who loves to speak in riddles, did not, of course, name the competitor(s) who has so ruffled his boa feathers as to rile him up online. (Tyler Bate seems a solid bet, given their recent animosity.) But given the quality of Dream’s in-ring performances thus far, it’s fair to say that his words are as worthy of the NXT locker room’s attention as his actions.

Dream has since posted another Tweet, this time taking aim at WWE.com covering up his initial Tweet, and noting he is fighting for “entertainer empowerment” in NXT. Dream closes his rant by very simply stating, “I hate independent wrestling”

They just signed Ricochet, so maybe a feud with him?

According to that article Dream is working a new side of his heel character, but on the last NXT TV he convincingly outpopped No Way José and even cut a babyface-sounding promo after the match. I like him, but is he going through an identity crisis?

To be fair, nobody actually gives a fuck about No Way Jose so him getting a babyface reaction over him isn't much to speak of.
