I’ve been pretty nostalgic lately and went back and looked at some of my old feds. Man, even today I’m pretty excited about some of these stories. Wish I had the time to go back and tell them. Also, I realized how hokey some of my ideas were too. Pretty much 90% of aPw was because I had just watched Rise and Fall of ECW and thought a WWF v ECW thing would be cool. My ideas for the ECW reboot were way more fun to read today. Punk/Noble was going to be off the chain. Also, I think I booked PoweRaw on the fly based off of comments I was receiving. Have no idea where I was going with that story. That 1993 WWF revision project still has my interest, too. Had a lot of really fun stuff planned for that. Nothing else really sparked any kind of interest for me. Lost a lot of fire over the years. Your hype posts for TNA V were the best thing you did on PW. They were amazing.

I just realized the theme song I picked for KENTA is insanely homophobic.
I didn't listen to the words until today. I knew KENTA used a DMX song in the past so I looked it up, liked the badass gangsta style, thought it would be cool to have KENTA be a stiff-working, Japanese thug in the ring, so I used it.
Whatever I'm leaving it. Fuck it.

Man, all these people starting their own feds, plus the draft, plus boredom has got me wanting to do my own fed. I probably shouldn't though.
(Except that I totally am)

Man, all these people starting their own feds, plus the draft, plus boredom has got me wanting to do my own fed. I probably shouldn't though. (Except that I totally am) I think you should write a fed based on your inner monologues of posting feds that never amount to anything and all the distractions that befall you in the meantime. Yeah, sure I could write this idea based on this current thing that's happening in the wrestling world... but I also could get a double quarterpounder...

I've got this great idea based off the Evolution PPV coming up that I should start on, but man, I'm really feeling getting a double quarterpounder for some reason.

Breaking news today that the colossal super-event of the century Best Of The Best: Ultimate Survivor has been ruled to take place the famous "Stadium Australia" in beautiful Sydney Australia. The venue is expected to pack in over 100,000 fans for the Best Of The Best's long awaited debut in the land down under. Stadium Australia beat out other finalists that were being considered by the Eternal Championship Council such as Tokyo National Stadium, the Pontiac Silverdome, and May Day Stadium in Korea. For those who are unaware Best Of The Best is a dream realm ruled by a governing council called the "Eternal Championship Council" comprised of the warrior spirits of the Cosmos. The series was originally created to save the Multiverse from a powerful dark matter called "The Nothing" that had become self aware and threatened to consume all of reality in this existence. Through the course of 8 huge blockbuster events the Best Of The Best series summoned warriors from different moments in time to bring them to the suspended state of reality which the Best Of The Best realm exists within, creating the ultimate form of competition showcased in the purest form of human drama, professional wrestling. After the original 8 Best Of The Best events the Nothing has been vanquished but the Eternal Championship Council has grown restless. The council has formed the Ultimate Survivor event as a standalone one night only spectacular. The premise of the event is a 32 team tournament. The 32 teams will be stocked with 5 warriors each all taken from various points in time in their careers. The teams will be pitted against each other in a single elimination tournament, the only way a team will be eliminated is after all 5 of their warriors have been defeated in 5 on 5 "Survivor Series" style elimination matches. The qualifying round of the tournament will have strict traditional pro wrestling rules. With each passing round of the tournament the rules will be less and less restrictive, with the quarterfinals of the tournament being No Disqualification matches. The final surviving members of the last 4 final teams will all enter "The Quickening", a match that will be every man for himself with Royal Rumble style entrances every 5 minutes and wrestlers being eliminated by pinfall or submission. In the end, THERE CAN BE ONLY 1.... ULTIMATE SURVIVOR!!!

Best Of The Best: Ultimate Survivor World Media Tour Day 1: Tokyo Japan Press Conference Summit
Mainstream media from all around the world gathered in Tokyo for the first of five planned worldwide press conference summits held by Best Of The Best to reveal the 32 teams competing in the upcoming Ultimate Survivor tournament. The Japanese press conference was devoted entirely to the 7 Japanese teams that will be representing their respective promotions and the country of Japan in the Ultimate Survivor tournament. The rest of the teams will be revealed over the course of the ensuing 4 international press conference summits to be held in Las Vegas, New York, Toronto, and London. The press had many questions about the event that needed to be answered. What is "Best Of The Best"? Best Of The Best is a dream stage governed and maintained by "The Eternal Championship Council" spirits of the cosmos that have the power to summon any pro wrestler or combat sports athlete from any moment in time, guaranteeing the best of all time competing in the primes of their careers in a suspended reality that is Best Of The Best. What is the Ultimate Survivor tournament? Ultimate Survivor will be a 32 team tournament of "Survivor Series" 5-on-5 elimination style matches. The preliminary qualifying round will be contested under traditional pro wrestling rules, wrestlers can and will be disqualified or counted out if these rules are not followed in the qualifying round. The second round of the tournament will feature more lenient rules and the third round will be full blown No-Disqualification matches where anything goes. The final survivors of the final 4 teams will be entered into "The Quickening", a style of match with rules very similar to Lucha Underground's "Aztec Warfare" match with wrestlers entering the ring in 5 minute intervals and eliminations happening via pinfall or submission only. This match will be every man for himself, in the end.... THERE CAN BE ONLY 1!!!! All Japan Pro Wrestling All Japan Pro Wrestling took the floor of the summit first with a team of all stars that sent the press into a frenzy with flash bulbs and clamoring with questions. The legend that founded AJPW in 1972, Giant Baba, was revealed as the team captain. Baba at 6'10" and 285 pounds is one of the most dominant wrestlers in all of Japanese wrestling history. Baba is a 3 time former NWA World Champion during the era when it was the top title in all of the sport of Pro Wrestling. Baba will be supported on team AJPW by four of the greatest craftsmen in all of pro wrestling history, Mitsuhara Misawa, Kenta Kobashi, Toshiaki Kawada, and Akira Taue, a group that carried All Japan and became collectively known as "The Four Pillars Of Heaven". New Japan Pro Wrestling
New Japan Pro Wrestling revealed their five man team led by team captain Antonio Inoki, the founder of the promotion and a pro wrestling godfather. Inoki took on all challengers throughout NJPW's early years, defeating world renowned martial artists in mixed style hybrid matches, even going toe to toe with the greatest of all time Muhammad Ali. Inoki has hand picked his team mates with Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi being his top guns. Okada is the longest reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion in the history of the title and has agreed to team with one of his greatest rivals in Hiroshi Tanahashi, a 7 time former IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Okada and Tanahashi are two of the greatest professional wrestlers in the world in modern times. Both Okada and Tanahashi spoke during the press conference saying that they have vowed to put their differences and their history aside to take NJPW to "The Quickening", but once there they will not hesitate to take each other out to become The Ultimate Survivor. Bolstering team NJPW will be Jushin Thunder Liger, one of the greatest super juniors of all time, and the legendary Shinya Hashimoto, a former All Japan Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion and 3 time former IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Union of Wrestling Forces International Manager: Billy Robinson
UWFI has prided itself as being real professional wrestling, the strongest of the strong. The promotion will be represented in the Ultimate Survivor tournament by a team headed by their superstar Nobuhiko Takada, a supreme champion who has defeated all comers including Super Vader, Trevor Berbick, Dan Severn, and Bob Backlund. The team will be managed by the patriarch of the Takada Dojo, Billy Robinson, widely regarded as one of the best technical pro wrestlers that ever lived. Robinson was a student of the legendary catch wrestling dojo "The Snake Pit" in England. Robinson has passed on the techniques from The Snake Pit to his top students in the Takada Dojo including former UWF veteran Kazuo Yamazaki, Hiromitsu Kanehara, Yoji Anjo, and hungry young up and comer Kazushi Sakuraba. Now finally after years of grandstanding and challenging all of the champions from around the world the real pro wrestlers of UWFI will get their chance to test their might against The Best Of The Best. Fighting Network Rings
Rings will be represented in the Ultimate Survivor tournament by a team led by one of the biggest superstars in Japan, Akira Maeda. Maeda earned his reputation as one of the most dangerous in the business by clowning on Andre The Giant and breaking Riki Choshu's face with "The Kick Heard Round The World". Maeda developed an intense rivalry with Antonio Inoki that eventually led to his exile from New Japan Pro Wrestling, which led to his founding of the legendary UWF shoot style wrestling promotion in the late 80's. UWF splintered off into 3 different shoot style promotions in 1991 with Nobuhiko Takada founding UWFI, Yoshiaki Fujiwara founding PWFG, and Akira Maeda founding Rings. Rings thrived as a hybrid promotion promoting pro wrestling as real sport with a heavy influence from the traditional martial arts such as Karate, Russian Sambo, and Judo. Maeda has put together an all star cast from Rings including Kiyoshi Tamura, a defector from the Takada Dojo/UWFI who thrived as one of the best shooters in Rings history. Also on the team will be world renowned Sambo master Volk Han, durable veteran Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, and the man who battled Rickson Gracie for over 20 minutes in a shoot fight Yoshihisa Yammamoto. Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling Manager: Karl Gotch
Team Pancrase enters the Ultimate Survivor Tournament managed by the legendary Karl Gotch, "The God Of Pro Wrestling" and the man who's feud with Antonio Inoki was what New Japan Pro Wrestling was built on. Gotch was a star pupil of the Snake Pit catch wrestling dojo in England that his peer Billy Robinson was bred from. Gotch passed on his techniques to his protege Yoshiaki Fujiwara, who splintered off from New Japan to unite with Akira Maeda in the formative years of the UWF shoot style wrestling league. After the UWF disbanded for good in 1991 Fujiwara put together his own promotion called Pro Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi, which brought in Karl Gotch as the lead trainer in his dojo, a dojo that produced some of the most skilled shooters of all time in Minoru Suzuki, Masakatsu Funaki, and young American Ken Wayne Shamrock. Funaki, Suzuki, and Shamrock splintered off from Fujiwara to found Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling in 1993, taking shoot style pro wrestling to the next level. Now, Pancrase will connect with it's roots to enter the Ultimate Survivor tournament by reuniting Suzuki, Shamrock, and Funaki with both Yoshiaki Fujiwara and Karl Gotch. The 5th member was selected to be Ken Shamrock's younger brother Frank Shamrock, a former "King Of Pancrase" Champion himself and the next generation of the Gotch/Fujiwara lineage of catch wrestlers that goes back to the Snake Pit in Wigan England. Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling
The FMW promotion enters the Ultimate Survivor Tournament with 5 of the toughest and most extreme wrestlers in the entire tournament. Led by Atsushi Onita, one of the founding godfathers of hardcore wrestling, the team of FMW all stars includes Hayabusa, Jinsei Shinzaki, Mike Awesome, and Masato Tanaka. These 5 warriors have been involved in some of the absolute most violent and physical matches in the history of pro wrestling and collectively they will be one of the hardest teams to eliminate from the competition. Michinoku Pro Wrestling
Michinoku Pro represents the 7th and final Japanese team to enter the 32 team field of the Ultimate Survivor tournament. The team is led by masked superstar The Great Sasuke and features 4 of the greatest luchadores to ever come out of Japan, including Sho Funaki, Dick Togo, Gran Hamada, and international superstar and former WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Taka Michinoku. Michinoku Pro will be hungry to prove that their brand of Lucha Libre is one of the strongest fighting styles in the world and they will be looking to earn respect as they enter the tournament as one of the heavy underdogs. The biggest Fan Fiction event of all time, live September 9th from Stadium Australia in Sydney

Really dig the FMW team, but can't help feeling like Mr. Gannosuke should've maybe had a spot?
Wish Men's Teoh had found a spot over Hamada on Michinoku Pro team so that it would've been Sasuke + Kaientai essentially.
Love AJPW's team, but NJPW's has me feeling like Mutoh and Chono got the major shaft.
And not knowing enough about Japanese pro wrestling, but shouldn't Jumbo Tsuruta and Tenryu be represented somewhere too?
Also, I've always wanted to see a Team Gaijin: Hansen, Brody, Vader, William, Gordy...

Best Of The Best: Ultimate Survivor World Media Tour Day 2: Las Vegas USA Press Conference Summit
The second of five international press events unfolds in the city that hosted the previous Best Of The Best spectacular, the record setting Best Of The Best VIII in the MGM Grand Garden Arena where Goldberg became the Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion by defeating Stone Cold Steve Austin in the biggest match in the history of pro wrestling. The fervor and hype surrounding the Las Vegas press event is palpable as the next 7 teams for the Ultimate Survivor event are set to be revealed. It was reiterated to the swarms of media covering the event that the format will be 5 vs 5 Survivor Series elimination style matches in a 32 team tournament, with the twist being that the final four surviving teams(what's left of them) will be entered into "The Quickening", a Highlander reference used to name a match very similar to Lucha Underground's "Aztec Warfare" match, which itself is a fresh spin on the Royal Rumble but instead of eliminations occurring via over-the-top-rope they can only occur via pinfall or submission(and there are no disqualifications). In the end... There Can Be Only One! World Championship Wrestling The team representing World Championship Wrestling was summoned by the Eternal Championship Council from an alternate reality, a road not taken, that road being Sting staying loyal to WCW in the Summer of 1998 instead of joining NWO Wolf Pac. Sting captains a team of WCW's best home grown talent including the reigning and defending Best Of The Best Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion, the undefeated 160-0 Goldberg. Goldberg was summoned from his prime in the Summer of 1998 to the last Best Of The Best series where he continued his undefeated run by beating Ken Shamrock, Mike Tyson, The Eternal Warrior, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Goldberg is unstoppable and unbeatable, a truly invincible force the likes of which combat sports has never seen. The Vegas betting lines were revealed recently with Goldberg as the odds on favorite to win The Quickening and become The Ultimate Survivor. If WCW can win the Ultimate Survivor they may become powerful enough to change their fate in reality. Gaijin War Ensemble Manager: Gary Hart
It took the brilliant conniving sinister mind of "Playboy" Gary Hart to put together a team like the Gaijin War Ensemble. Hart used his connections with his former client Bruser Brody to unite the most feared and successful forces in both Japan and North America, Big Van Vader, Bruiser Brody, Stan Hansen, and The Miracle Violence Connection(Dr. Death Steve Williams and Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy). The list of championships and accomplishments among the five men is astounding, with team captain "Big Van Vader" being a former AJPW Triple Crown Champion, IWGP Heavyweight Champion, UWFI World Heavyweight Champion, and WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Stan Hansen has experience teaming with Brody, Vader, and Terry Gordy and is one of the only men to hold victories over both Antonio Inoki and Giant Baba in Championship Matches. Hansen is a former 4 time Triple Crown Champion, as well as a former AWA World Champion. The Miracle Violence Connection are former NWA and WCW World Tag Champions as well as 5 time AJPW World Tag Team Champions. The Dangerous Alliance Manager: Paul E. Dangerously
Paul E. Dangerously's "Dangerous Alliance" enters the Ultimate Survivor tournament as one of the most experienced and cohesive quintets in the entire competition. The group dominated WCW at their peak capturing the United States, Television, and World Tag Titles while becoming one of the greatest stables of all time. Asistencia Asesoría y Administración
AAA represents the country of Mexico in the Ultimate Survivor with some of the greatest luchadores of all time. The team will be captained by La Parka and features Psicosis and Juventud Guerrera along with former AAA World Tag Team Champions Los Gringos Locos(Eddie Guerrero and Art Barr). La Parka became one of AAA's biggest stars of all time in 1992 drawing big crowds en route to headlining AAA's very first ever Triplemania event. Juvy and Psicosis emerged as two of AAA's best young luchadores after taking their style of wrestling to the next level while Los Gringos Locos terrorized the promotion during their prime as one of the best tag teams in the entire sport of pro wrestling. Lucha Underground Manager: Dario Cueto
Dario Cueto officially enters his promotion Lucha Underground into the Ultimate Survivor with an all star cast from the first 2 seasons of the revolutionary wrestling promotion from Boyle Heights. Team captain Prince Puma was the winner of the first Aztec Warfare Match and the first ever Lucha Underground World Champion. Team LU is rounded out by King Cuerno, Mil Muertes, Pentagon, and Drago. If Cueto's team can work together to make it to The Quickening they will have an advantage as each of LU's team members has experience in a similar style match in their trademark "Aztec Warfare", the inspiration behind The Quickening. Ultimate Fighting Championship
In a major surprise that rocked the Las Vegas press conference summit a rogue renegade team of Ultimate Fighters from the rough and violent world of early 90's UFC has been summoned to compete in the Ultimate Survivor tournament by the Eternal Championship Council. UFC 7 tournament finalist "The Polar Bear" Paul Varelans stands at 6' 8" and weighs 330 pounds. "Big Daddy" Gary Goodridge was a finalist in UFC 8 and is owner of one of the most brutal slayings in PPV history. Team captain Tank Abbott is a loud mouth, brash, disrespectful street fighter that has been a finalist in UFC 6 and the Ultimate Ultimate 96 tournaments while Kimo made his name by pushing the invincible Royce Gracie to his limits at UFC 3. The team is rounded out by UFC 3 tournament finalist Harold Howard, a Karate master who says "If you're coming on.... THEN COME ON!" Team UFC will be out of their element in the Ultimate Survivor tournament due to their lack of experience in pro wrestling but their toughness and grit and experience in the wild no rules caged combat of the UFC could make them a tough challenge for any team in the competition. Extreme Nation
The press conference was crashed by black militant group Extreme Nation who revealed themselves as the 14th team to enter the 32 team tournament. The PW History Of Wrestling meme will make it's official Fan Fiction debut with Ron Simmons captaining a team that features 2 Cold Scorpio, Simmon's personal bodyguard and Street Certified back yard fighting legend Kimbo Slice, the highly controversial New Jack, and Deebo. Ron Simmons is a former star football player at Florida State as well as a former WCW World Heavyweight Champion while 2 Cold Scorpio is one of the most underrated in the business. Simmons made it clear at the press conference that the Extreme Nation represents no country or promotion, all they represent is the lack or respect and the lack of opportunities for black athletes in professional wrestling. Simmons mocked the idea of the Ultimate Survivor tournament saying that none of these fools in this competition know anything about Ultimate Survival, walk in the shoes of a black man in this country for one day in these streets and you'll see what Ultimate Survival really is, Extreme Nation knows all about Ultimate Survival and all 31 teams are about to find out what it's all about. New Jack took over the podium and delivered a heavily censored diatribe that was foul and absolutely tasteless as he ensured that 400 years of frustration are going to come out at Ultimate Survivor with Extreme Nation bringing real street violence to the ring. The biggest Fan Fiction event of all time, live September 9th from Stadium Australia in Sydney

Gaijin War Ensemble all the way. With Gary Hart managing that is just a top notch team. Can’t see how they could possibly lose. I'm totally expecting to see Hogan, Savage, Warrior and LOD as a team. The only possible unit the could stand toe to toe with Gaijin War Ensemble.

God, I'm fucking loving this. The most heartbreaking thing will be that this won't be a round robin series, meaning that I won't get every dream match showdown possible. There will be some sacrifices. But I know they'll all be worth it.

With five men per team I can't think of a better AJPW team than the Four Pillars and Baba. Personally I'd replace Baba with Jumbo but and although I like Jumbo a lot more, Baba is the better choice. He is the founder and in kayfabe a really powerful wrestler. Representing all of NJPW in one five man team is an impossible task, but I like the five man team he's chosen. If you wanted to do more, you could do a 21st century NJPW team and a classic NJPW team. Agreed with Jeff that Gaijin War Ensemble is absolute killer.

New Era Wrestling presents... MAIN ATTRACTION
The Story So Far
NEW Contender's Championship Finals Chris Jericho vs. Tetsuya Naito New Era Wrestling has a unique championship and crowning that first champion at Main Attraction has been a unique road.
The Contender's Championship is the brain-child of NEW President and COO Paul Heyman. Loving the idea of a contender to the World Championship always waiting in the shadows, Heyman created the title as a way of always having someone on deck, ready to challenge at a moment's notice. The Contender's Champion can be anyone, because it must be defended every 30 days, or the holder is forced to vacate it.
Enter the NEW World Championship tournament. In a surprise announcement several weeks ago, Shane McMahon declared that the men eliminated from the NEW World Championship tournament would be competing in a second bracket for the Contender's Championship. To prepare for that "moment's notice" aspect, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho were thrown into a match moments later to see who would be the first to go to Main Attraction in the Contender's Championship Finals.
Chris Jericho won the match, and after being eliminated from both the World and Contender's title tournaments, Dean Ambrose may have gone off the deep end, which we'll get to later...
The other two men who failed to win their World Championship qualifying matches, Tetsuya Naito and Adrian Neville, went to battle two weeks later, and Naito ended up the victor (which then led to several huge moments post-match, which can be seen on NEWTV's archive stream right here.)
And after all that, the swerves, the back-stabbing, the vicious attacks, the joining of stables, it all comes down to Main Attraction. Chris Jericho and Tetsuya Naito meet for a third time. Chris Jericho won their first meeting at Wrestle Kingdom 12 when he brutally took the IWGP Intercontinental Championship from Naito, then Naito won it back in their second meeting when he exacted some revenge. Now they meet for a third and likely final time on New Era Wrestling's biggest stage and the victor gets a one-way ticket to a World Championship match.
Main Attraction comes to you live from Seattle on NEWTV this Sunday. Be sure to catch up on this and all the other action on NEWTV's Official Website before the biggest show of the year.

The Story So Far
NEW Women's Championship - Fatal Fourway Becky Lynch vs. Bayley vs. Ruby Riott vs. Liv Morgan With all the surprise appearances from men jumping ship and the huge talent-sharing deal with NJPW and ROH, it's been easy to forget that so far only four women have joined New Era Wrestling, and they've been there from the very beginning.
It was reported that both Becky Lynch and Bayley jumped from the WWE together as soon as they had the chance. It's been no secret that they've been unhappy with the company for some time now and the long-time friends leaving together wasn't a big surprise. Two thirds of the Riott Squad leaving was definitely a shock, but given the fact that Ruby Riott continues to get passed over for typical blonds, and Liv Morgan refusing to change her style, many should have seen it coming.
So with the four women starting anew in NEW, it seemed inevitable that sides were going to form and lines drawn, which is exactly what happened. After a few weeks of back-and-forth between the two teams, it was Bayley who recognized that even though two teams of friends had formed, there was only one title to win.
Shane McMahon recognized that too, and put Bayley and Becky against one another in a match after announcing the Women's title would be decided at Main Attraction in a Fatal Fourway. In a shocking turn of events, Bayley and Becky hugged before their match started and Bayley stunned the world when she turned that hug into a Bayley-to-Belly and won the match in a matter of seconds. Bayley immediately felt terrible and consoled her friend, but Becky came to and was not pleased.
Sensing a rift in their friendship, Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan took advantage, forming a stronger alliance and when it came time for their match they simply walked out, accepting a double count out. Frustrated from being betrayed, Becky Lynch refused to stand by and attacked, which eventually drew out Bayley for the assist. But as the brawl ensued, Becky attacked her friend out of anger, and before things could get any worse all four women were separated.
None of the women were seen again until this past Thursday, when cameras caught two horrific scenes backstage. Early in the evening, Becky Lynch arrived at the arena and found Bayley a twisted, unconscious mess in the women's locker room. She immediately blamed Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan, who claimed they didn't attack Bayley, but wished they had. Becky went after them, but without Bayley's back-up she was quickly taken care of. Later in the evening, Liv Morgan found Ruby Riott in a similar situation to Bayley, attacked with a chair in a blood-stained dressing room.
The state of Bayley and Ruby Riott is unknown at this time, but the Fatal Fourway is still a go as of the writing of this post. Was Bayley actually attacked by Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan? Was Ruby attacked by Becky as revenge? Or is something else happening here? Perhaps we'll find out more this Sunday when the Women's Championship is decided.

The Story So Far
NEW Tag Team Championship The Revival vs. The Usos The two teams that walked away from the only company they ever knew are going to fight to decide who the first-ever NEW Tag Team Champions will be. It's poetic in a sense, but how we got here was anything but.
Fed up with how they have been treated since being called up to the big time, The Revival looked to remind the world how they got the reputation of "top guys." They seek and destroy. They will stop at nothing to get what they want, and what they want is the NEW Tag Team titles.
Their first night on the job they made quick work of the PWG Tag Team Champions Desmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz, then proceeded to spit on the PWG titles in a sign of complete disrespect (and just down the street from where PWG calls home, might we add). Then after beating The Motor City Machine Guns the following week, The Revival put Alex Shelley on the shelf indefinitely after a targeting attack on his leg.
This earned The Revival a suspension, but not even Shane McMahon could deny that they were the real deal. Post-match antics aside, The Revival were 2-0 against two excellent tag teams, and nobody else had really stepped up.
Enter The Uso Penitentiary. Jimmy & Jey Uso took The Revival's absence and ran with it, beating out three other teams (including winning an epic battle with The Young Bucks) to earn the right to face The Revival at Main Attraction to crown the first NEW Tag Team Champions.
And it was The Usos who had the last laugh this past Thursday. After a distraction from Wentz, Xavier & MCMG, The Young Bucks teased the entire world when they finally came face-to-face with The Revival...but could only promise that their match would have to wait. Because they were just there as a distraction. The Usos sprang to action and beat down The Revival in no time, finally giving them their just desserts and getting the last shot on before meeting at Main Attraction.
NEW Tag Team Champions will be crowned this Sunday, and the NEW tag division is only growing stronger by the day. The winners will have a target on their back, and something tells us no matter who wins will welcome that challenge with open arms.
Main Attraction comes to you live from Seattle on NEWTV this Sunday. Be sure to catch up on this and all the other action on NEWTV's Official Website before the biggest show of the year.

The Story So Far
Mystery Opponent Dean Ambrose vs. TBD First wrestler to jump ship.
First person announced as part of New Era Wrestling.
First person to turn to the Bullet Club.
Dean Ambrose promised a wild ride when he came to New Era Wrestling and he's delivered so far.
Ambrose started out red hot, fighting Kenny Omega in the first round of the NEW World Championship elimination tournament. As we know, things didn't go his way, but no matter. Dean was as determined as ever and was ready to prove he was on the next level.
After a violent spat with Chris Jericho, the two met again for a chance to go to Main Attraction and fight for the NEW Contender's Championship. Ambrose and Jericho once again tore one another apart, and Dean Ambrose was right at home in a violent match-up...but again, he came up short. Jericho was off to Main Attraction with a clear road to the NEW World Championship, and Dean Ambrose quickly found himself winless, directionless and powerless.
NEW promised surprises, good stories, and better fights. It also promised that it would quickly become the place where the very best in the world had to be the very best in order to succeed, and nobody learned that quicker than Dean Ambrose.
So maybe that's why on a wild night in Phoenix, Dean Ambrose joined Bullet Club. A few days later, Ambrose offered up a vague explanation, saying Bullet Club was freedom, and he was finally free, which might explain his carefree attitude as of late that hasn't sat well with Cody Rhodes & co. so far.
It also hasn't sat well with Shane McMahon, who was disappointed in Ambrose's choice and felt that if Dean Ambrose wanted to join up with bullies, he'd need to put up or shut up on his own. So at Main Attraction, with Bullet Club banned from ringside, Dean Ambrose is facing a mystery opponent of Shane McMahon's choosing.
And it could be anyone. It could be someone already in NEW, it could be someone from NJPW or ROH, or it could be literally anyone else. Because NEW is the place to be and the place to prove yourself, and Dean Ambrose looks to do just that on Sunday no matter who he faces.
Main Attraction comes to you live from Seattle on NEWTV this Sunday. Be sure to catch up on this and all the other action onNEWTV's Official Websitebefore the biggest show of the year.

Television Championship Tournament
Block A Finals Cody Rhodes vs. KENTA vs. Rusev
Block B Finals Pete Dunne vs. Adam Cole New Era Wrestling prides itself on providing the very best in entertainment, and one of the factors that puts it above the rest is the incarnation of the NEW Television Championship. A Championship that, like the Contender's Championship, forces its holder to earn it and keep it. If you have the title and a TV event is scheduled, you're defend it or you lose it. To earn the Television Championship is to earn the respect of the audience and be one of the hardest working individuals in the entire company.
Perhaps that's why the tournament for the Television Championship has been arguably the most entertaining programming in the entire company thus far.
The tournament kicked off with a Round Robin tournament that saw KENTA kick the living hell out of Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes stun the world with a victory over Rusev, Pete Dunne and Adam Cole go to a time-limit draw, and Ricochet and Tyler Breeze put on one of the best matches of the year.
But the tournament has also seen its share of controversy. Chris Jericho may still be in the tournament if it weren't for Dean Ambrose being a thorn in his side, KENTA and Rusev were viciously attacked by Bullet Club, and Tyler Breeze let his frustrations get the better of him after being eliminated by Pete Dunne (fortunately only concession tables and doors were injured in that attack).
But the tournament portion comes to a head at Main Attraction and the fireworks might only be getting started. After ending in a 3-way tie in Block A, Cody Rhodes, KENTA and Rusev will meet in a triple threat match to determine the block winner. Block B sees the two men who couldn't best one another square off again, Pete Dunne and Adam Cole. The winners of each block will face in the finals later in the evening, and the first NEW Television Champion will be crowned.
After such a grueling tournament, no matter who wins will deserve to call themselves Champion. Then the hard part of holding the title begins.
Main Attraction comes to you live from Seattle on NEWTV this Sunday. Be sure to catch up on this and all the other action onNEWTV's Official Websitebefore the biggest show of the year.

NEW World Championship
Semi-Finals #1 Kenny Omega vs. Sami Zayn
Semi-Finals #2 Aleister Black vs. Shinsuke Nakamura And it all comes down to this.
When the other titles are decided, the other stories play out, and the rest of the roster figures out their place...two men will walk into the ring in the main event of Main Attraction and decide New Era Wrestling's first ever World Champion.
The first ever match in NEW history saw the IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega defeat Dean Ambrose. Then, Sami Zayn defeated Chris Jericho to move to the semis and prove that he's more than just someone's best friend.
Aleister Black stunned the world when he left a promising career to pursue World Championship glory and defeated Tetsuya Naito. Then Shinsuke Nakamura did the same when he spoiled Adrian Neville's return to the ring.
And the final four are set. Two men will move on, two men will be sent to the wayside. An epic battle of historic proportions will take place in Seattle and the victor will find himself adorned with platinum and white leather, calling himself the first NEW World Champion.
The IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
The Canadian underdog.
The Dutch Death Machine.
The King of Strong Style.
