So with Asuka vs Charlotte now set for WM and pretty much it being guaranteed that Asuka is winning and will be keeping the title for a while, where does that leave Carmella? There is no way they would have Carmella take the belt off Asuka and end the undefeated streak. So what does the WWE do now? Do they have her try and cash in and fail? That kinda makes the "first ever" MITB kinda pointless. Do they have her cash-in on the Raw champion? Problem with that is they've made pretty clear it's for the Smackdown title shot. So what do they do now, just cut their losses and just look towards the next women's MITB or the only other option I see is in the lead up to wrestlemania have her beat Charlotte and Charlotte wins the title right back before WM.

I think we are forgetting a fairly easy way this could play out. Have Carmella pull a Rollins and simply cash in DURING the match when both ladies are weak. Carmella swoops in and pins Charlotte for the win. Carmella makes the first womens cash in a success and Auska will still never have been beaten. It gets some massive heat for Carmella and gains some sympathy for Auska who will have to continue to chase...for maybe a month. I don't think you can put off Auska winning the belt until Summerslam though.

They could still play up the fact she's never been pinned.  I always view the one who didn't get pinned in a multi person match as it just being a no contest on their record.  Doesn't count against you if you don't get pinned.  WWE can just say that, they make up the rules as they go all the time so do it here.

A MITB cash in seems like a pretty decent way of ending Asuka's streak. Carmella would get good heel heat off it and it protects Asuka as she still wouldn't have lost in a proper match.

I don't really see anyone immediately obvious that is worth giving the streak to in a match anyway so it wouldn't be too much of a loss from that perspective. Shayna Baszler seems like the one they'd book to be the first to beat Asuka 1v1 (and they can still do that anyway).

Rousey is here to end the streak...

And if Miz getting pinned in a tag match will end the streak, like WWE said 2 weeks ago, then Asuka not winning a triple threat without being pinned will also lose it, in WWE

There has been more speculation about Carmella and her Money in the Bank briefcase today, with a potential spoiler as to when she will cash in the briefcase.

According to Brad Shepard on the Backstage in WWE podcast, there have been discussions surrounding Carmella cashing in and potentially losing the briefcase at Wrestlemania. Below are some highlights of Shepard’s comments:

“Carmella, I’m told could very well cash in her Money in the Bank at WrestleMania and lose. Well apparently from what I’ve heard she’s okay with it. She’s down to do it. She basically knows Asuka is going to be champ and she doesn’t have a chance of winning the championship from her so it’s kinda like, “You might as well make the most of losing. Why not WrestleMania?”

I'd be completely against any sort of briefcase action at Mania, regardless whether it's successful or not. Carmella isn't a strong enough character (not her fault) to be featured like that, and however they handle it would only cheapen the vibe of the Asuka/Charlotte match.

Who do you guys want to take the belt from Alexa when it comes to Nia or Carmella?

Two options I would go with.
Option 1 is have Charlotte beat Asuka. Eventually someone has too and Charlotte is built pretty strong so her losing to Charlotte would hurt her too much. Then have Carmella on a beat and batter Charlotte after having a war with Asuka.

Option 2 While they are having their long great match with neither submitting or staying down. Show Carmella, Tamina, and Natalya beating down Naomi and Becky in the back. Riott squad attacks both people in the ring making sure to hit Asuka first so her streak stays in tact so people won't claim it is a DQ lost for her. Carmella cashes in. Then have either the welcoming committee, riott squad, or both taunt Asuka since she can't come to smackdown to get her revenge. A few weeks later she can get drafted to smackdown for revenge. And if the two factions need a reason it is because Asuka stole one of their spots at Wrestlemania.
