So I’m watching WM30 with friends, I go to the bathroom... I come back to everyone in the room silent and Brock leaning on the bottom rope. My first thought is there was a huge botch..but no, I missed the streak ending, arguably the most shocking thing to happen in WWE since I started watching in late 2001. Friends constantly rib me for it “Hey do you remember when Brock broke the streak and you missed it?”
I also missed Shawn Michaels turning on Hogan because I was tired and just figured they would pose for 5 minutes and that would be it. I also missed Seth Rollins turning on the shield. I could list more examples but Raw wasn’t live in Australia until the last few years.
Anyway what iconic wrestling moments have you missed or wish you could have experienced “live” rather than being spoiled for you?

Owen's death. I tuned in after and was wondering what the hell was going on here.

'Taker vs Foley (Hell in the Cell): I don't remember what I was doing, but it wasn't a priority for some reason and I didn't watch it. A friend called me up and tried to describe what had just happened ("He went through a table from the cage!"), and I said something like, "Didn't Shawn Michaels just do that at Bad Blood? It was then explained that this was very different. I watched the Tuesday replay and experienced the insanity.

I missed the Fingerpoke Of Doom, too busy watching Raw. I missed Ken Shamrock vs Dan Severn on Raw, too busy watching Nitro. I missed ECW One Night Stand and the whole reboot the next year, never heard anything about it otherwise I would have been all about it. Imagine my surprise and dismay when I randomly stumbled upon WWECW one night in 2009.

Owen's death. I tuned in after and was wondering what the hell was going on here. What do you mean after? It wasn't televised. It happened during a pretape and then they threw it to the same pretape again as they scrambled to figure out what to do.

"Great wrestling moments..." 'Owen's Death' I think I missed something... Ok, great impact. Not a positive. "great impact." Sorry I couldn't help it. I'm disgusting. I watched a lot of wrestling as a kid/teenager but I rarely watched PPVs because it was too much cash to shell out. Once in a while I'd go to a friend's house to watch, or I'd order something big like Wrestlemania, but I never saw most of what went on at PPVs in the 90s/early 2000s. So yeah, whatever those moments were. I always read or heard about them after the fact, so I was always in the loop, but I rarely saw that stuff as it happened. Same goes for my adult life, but that's only because I rarely watch shows live anymore and am content keeping up with the internet. Is what it is.

LOL. I was gonna say the turnbuckle Owen landed on for the HOF thread, but thought it might be in poor taste. Good to see some have a sense of humor about it though.

I was still a little hulkamaniac back then and hadn't yet realized what a raging egomaniacal prick Hogan was yet. Fun fact, Hulk Hogan once referred to Yokozuna as "The Jap" in a promo. Damn the casual racism of the early 90's was so much fun. lol I missed what many would say was the best ppv of both wcw and wwe in 1995, Survivor Series. At the time I was taking a bit of a break from wrestling. WWE was trying to rebuild with Diesel as the cornerstone of the company for some reason and WCW just couldn't stop sucking Hogan's dick and tossing him into that insufferable feud with Dungeon of Doom. Yuck. I missed a good chunk of the fall of 1995. After Diesel vs. Mabel at Summerslam that year, I had to reconsider ever watching the product again. I came back in around wrestlemania 12. But anyways i'm rambling. I missed a totally awesome show that I wouldn't even know about until the network came along.

Dude...I was destroyed when Yoko destroyed Hulkamania. I cried myself to sleep. I was still a little hulkamaniac back then and hadn't yet realized what a raging egomaniacal prick Hogan was yet. I missed what many would say was the best ppv of both wcw and wwe in 1995, Survivor Series. I was a proud Hogan hater from the very first pro wrestling match I ever saw. Back then it had nothing to do with him always winning or his "lack of ability." I simply felt sorry for his opponent. All those people were booing poor Mr. Wonderful! How rude! What did he ever do to them? And what did Hulk Hogan ever do for me? So I sided with Orndorff in that very first match and my Hogan hatred just grew over the years due to him always winning. Usually over people I found a million times more entertaining. I was at Survivor Series '95 Definitely one of those things that increased my fandom. Great show. I didn't get to see a single WWF ppv live between Wrestlemania VII & Summerslam '95. And I didn't get to watch Raw regularly until late 1995. So there's a bunch of other great moments I missed like Jeff Jarrett beating Razor for the IC Title and Goldust's in ring debut. (They're great moments to me, dammit!) I was gonna use that to segue into a list of Great WCW Moments that I missed only to realize I'd be typing for an hour since I missed out on like 90%+ of WCW's greatest moments

I was in the same boat as RT , I didn't buy many PPV's since they were expensive. A much more well off friend would record them for me off his PPV service and I would watch them a few days later. I do remember stressing over the third man at Bash At The Beach 1996 since I had a baseball tournament that day and was hoping to be back in time to watch live.
