I'm going to be watching a lot of the midweek bowl games if anyone would like to join me for a chat over the next couple of weeks. Bit sceptical of tonight's matchup though, looks very one sided with FAU a 22 point favourite, and their super productive rushing attack against a pretty poor Akron defence.

Lane Kiffin trying an onside kick up 7-0 in the first quarter. He definitely topped it going for it on 4th and 13 up 50-3. That was about as entertaining as a blowout could possibly be, a great advertisement for their recruiting. Hopefully LA Tech/SMU is a bit more competitive tomorrow.

Fumble recovery for LA Tech on the first play of the game - looks like we're gonna get some action tonight. :cool2:

11 plays, 3 turnovers for SMU, this is amazing. Great start for this new HC.

Well tonight's game has at least been a decent contest, but still heavily tarnished by FIU's QB getting injured on the opening drive, and their offence struggling as a consequence all night. The complete opposite of the previous two night's 50-burgers.
All the Bad Boy Mowers material has been gold though, making up for whatever lack of excitement there might have been on the field.

Watching tonight's Cactus Bowl - kinda disappointed that Rosen isn't playing but Jordan Rodgers and his magnificent hair on commentary makes up for it somewhat.

K-State bizarrely kept their best offensive player Alex Delton off the field for the majority of the first half and therefore trail at the break. Devon Modster has been fantastic for UCLA, he's got a really nice high throwing action and has shown some beautiful touch on his passes.

It took them a while but KSU worked out that UCLA had no ability to stop the run, and once they got there they were able to move the ball to their hearts content. A truly rancid effort from the Bruins defence, I think Chip Kelly will have a lot of success with Modster but they'll need to drastically improve on the other side of the ball to be a better team next season.

Not often that a punter is legitimately the best player on the field but I think Michael Dickson has been tonight. Think he might have guaranteed getting drafted tonight, it will be cool to have yet another Australian in the NFL.
Drew Lock isn't a perfect QB by any means but he has got one hell of a live arm, will be interesting to see if he comes out after this game.

I think he’ll stay. The draft advisory board told him he’s not a top 60 pick and the Tigers are targeting a pro style offensive coordinator that can help him put together some better tape for what the NFL wants next season.
Crummy game from Mizzou last night but honestly getting to a Bowl after the 1-5 start was a victory.

Crummy game from Mizzou last night but honestly getting to a Bowl after the 1-5 start was a victory. From what I saw (and admittedly it was only three quarters) it would definitely be a good idea to stay another year in college. He's obviously got some amazing arm talent but made quite a few mistakes. I think if the rumours about Jedd Fisch going to Mizzou come true then he could have a really productive season in 2018. Up to the ranked bowls now! Short day at work today so I'm watching the early game.

This has been a fantastic game so far. VT are doing an amazing job with TOP, keeping their defence fresh to cope with the uptempo OSU offence and they've delivered so far holding them to field goals. Only one problem for Tech though, they fumbled on the goalline after a 17 play drive. 😫

Only one problem for Tech though, they fumbled on the goalline after a 17 play drive. 😫 And not looking after the ball continued to kill them, losing despite edging the total yards and holding the ball for 38 minutes, largely because they turned it over three times. Love Justice Hill for OSU, he's an absolute tank. I'm out for the long weekend - will be back for the semifinals, hopefully someone might join me!

Never thought I see in my life time that NMSU won their bowl game yesterday for the first time since 57 years ago.

What a shitty way for Miami to end the season. Three straight losses, including at home in the Orange Bowl.
Miami still has a long, long, LONG way to go before they can even think of competing for a National Championship.

I'm unfortunately stuck watching some ass Spanish stream but hot start from OU - Baker shredding the Georgia defence on the opening drive.

Some of Oklahoma's play designs have been absolutely magnificent, and that reverse hand off WR to QB pass capped it all off. 360 yards and 31 points in the first half, and they get the ball to start the second.

Perfect start to the second half for the netural, Georgia defence forces a stop and then Chubb pops a 50 yard run for a TD to cut the deficit to 7. Amazing game!

This has been a great Rose Bowl game so far. Sure, it may not be a traditional PAC 12 vs. Big Ten matchup, but it's been quite the battle.
Tied at 31.

Bulldogs running game has been extraordinary. Michel: 6 carries for 142 and 2 touchdowns, Chubb: 8 carries for 138 and a touchdown. Combining for about 20 yards per rush.

What a shitty way for Miami to end the season. Three straight losses, including at home in the Orange Bowl. Miami still has a long, long, LONG way to go before they can even think of competing for a National Championship. This is a ridiculous opinion. Miami is a young team, and its important to remember that Georgia went 8-5 last year.

Mayfield has been throwing high a few times tonight and it caught up with him there, overthrowing as he tried to make a play that probably wasn't there. Momentum is all with Georgia now as they take the lead, quite a remarkable turnaround compared to early when it looked like they couldn't stop Oklahoma if their lives depended on it.
