Vladimir Guerrero Jr. just hit a walk-off homerun for the Blue Jays in Montreal.
If that isn't the best way to kick off this season I don't know what is.

That's a pretty damn good story to end the preseason. I hope the Jays can at least contend for a Wild Card.

Why Judge is in center, Stanton in right, and Gardner on the bench on a turf field I will never know.

Why Judge is in center, Stanton in right, and Gardner on the bench on a turf field I will never know. Gardner turns 35 in August, he is still somewhat fleet foot but he isn't someone you'd want to trot out there almost every game. He has years on Stanton and Judge. Sucks that McKinney joins Frazier, Hicks and DLsbury in getting hurt, I wanted to see how Billy would fare and I think he deserves to be on this main roster. Add Fowler's awful injury last year(Before getting dealt to OAK) and it's just crummy luck, the first two are young players, they aren't even injury prone. Curious who takes McKinney's spot if he does go on the DL....because I doubt they take a year off Andujar or Torres clock for a minor fix.

Save your better players from the turf. Yankees also have no lead off hitter with Hicks hurt. Neil Walker as a lead off is awful.

Pillar stole home plate tonight. That was a pretty awesome game. He stole three bases in that inning. I think anybody on PW can steal that many bases when you have Delin Betances on the mound. Slow delivery, zero awareness, inaccurate throws to 1B and C when needed, lousy range, fragile mentally when a guy gets on. Sure is closer material. Guy is borderline dominant when he doesn't have a runner on but my goodness he crumbles so fucking quick whenever a base runner is on.

Brandon Drury has been awesome thus far, don't want to jump the gun but he's such a solid hitter. He has some pop but he doesn't just aim for shots out there, he works out pitchers and is selective in what he is swinging. Cant believe Arizona gave up on him, he's only 25.
Arizona probably should stay away from the Yankees in these 3 teams deals. They lost Mad Max to Detroit in the first one, than DIDI in the second one....now Drury.

Can't hurt to split the series over what the critics call a godly team.

Can't hurt to split the series over what the critics call a godly team. Yes barely scraping a split on your home opening series is something worthwhile over. Especially with a team that is depleted in the OF outside of the starting 3. You got to the Yanks bullpen both times late game, it happens. Blue Jays starting pitching has been far from good and this is with Stroman and Sanchez pitching in these outings, your top 2 guns at home no less.

Noted.
I'm watching tonight's game against Baltimore. This is the home opener, they just presented the World Series trophy and unveiled the banner deal, man that World Series was amazing. I stopped keeping up with the Astros when they were bad(baseball is not really my thing) and watching them win the Series made me wish I hadn't. I'm going to ride with them from now on by god. I'm going to try like hell to watch the next 161 games, it's going to be a challenge since I don't live in the Houston TV market. I may also try to slip away to Houston to catch a game sometime this Summer.

6-1 win, Astros played pretty good defense(?) other than that homer gave up at the end. Could they repeat? 1 down, 160 to go. WHOOO!

haha, "The Blue Jays are above .500 for the first time since 2016."
Fuck last year was such a horror show. 2-whatever in April, injuries galore...I really hope we see what this team is capable of this year. Even if they miss out on a wild card spot, I just want to see what this team can do when they're all healthy and go full tilt.

Didi Gregorius trade where the Yanks gave up Shane Greene might go down as the one greatest trades Cashman has ever made. Seriously what a steal this guy has been, he had a decent year in 2015 but he had a good year in 2016 and then tore it up in 2017 despite missing time from the WBC and thus far has been sick with serious pop thus far in the 2018 season.

Man that championship ring is tight I agree. I saw a picture of it earlier today and it immediately became one of my favourite ever championship rings. Not only does the symbol really suit the ring, but the blue burst behind it is so fucking nice. It's amazing. Jays in a shootout with the White Sox right now. I'm half paying attention while watching Smackdown. I know it's early but I think the Jays are going to be really fun to watch this year. Are they a postseason team? Ehhh...maybe if everyone stays healthy, but even then...tough call right now. But I think it's going to be a fun year regardless. I just hope we sign Donaldson. If nothing else this year, they need to give him all the money. If they let him walk this team falls apart.

The ring is beautiful, i love the emblem on the side with the baseball stadium holding up the city of Houston.
Also really like that they gave Biggio and Bagwell rings. The Texans better give Andre Johnson a ring when they win a Super Bowl.
Ok so i missed 4 games apparently, damn i thought the season started in April and they took Sundays off. This what i get for basing my info on a 1995 Sega Saturn baseball game.
And what a fucking catch by Reddick at the wall saving 2 scores! WHOOOO!

I need to find out how to stream tomorrows Astros game radio broadcast on my phone. That would actually be pretty cool to listen to at work. I dont think any of the stations around here play Astros games, this part of Texas has its nose so far up Dallas' ass it makes me sick sometimes, really makes no sense because Dallas is like 3 hours away(Houston probably 4).
