Bray & Broken Matt have to be one of the worst teams to come around in a long time.

I hate that Michael Cole shits on this angle all the time. I don't like it, but that doesn't mean the commentator should be a twat.

Matt being Broken is what got him and Jeff back into WWE

The commentary is literally so bad. Cole's reaction to Joe just then was embarrassingly low key, and Coach is just the drizzling shits.

If that were the case, we'd probably still have the Hardy Boys as a tag team instead of going down this path. People clamour for this character, they were chanting and calling out for it ever since the return.

Jeff was injured , and if it was Broken Matt they wanted they would have brought him in like that. Not as The Hardy's and given them a strong run in the tag division.

The WWE ran with the nostalgia pop.

I have no doubt they wanted Jeff, but I think the Broken gimmick is what got Matt hired.

Legal issues can take time, the chants barely went away during the run as the Hardy Boys. You don't have to like the gimmick (I'm not super crazy about it personally) but the gimmick is what made the noise. Without it, even if they got rehired, the pop wouldn't have been as massive as it was. 

Few moments of bliss without commentary coming out of the commercial break.

Onc , brother - you do realize that The Hardy's are probably one of the three most popular tag teams in WWE history , potentially #1 while at their peak? The crowd popped for The Hardy's music and The Hardy's. They would have erupted with or without the Broken gimmick. The very notion they wouldn't have is pretty silly TBH.
