So what's closing the show then? This match really can't be going a half hour can it?

A funny backstage segment! I don't think I've seen a single one since I started watching again.

Legal issues can take time, the chants barely went away during the run as the Hardy Boys. You don't have to like the gimmick (I'm not super crazy about it personally) but the gimmick is what made the noise. Without it, even if they got rehired, the pop wouldn't have been as massive as it was. Onc , brother - you do realize that The Hardy's are probably one of the three most popular tag teams in WWE history , potentially #1 while at their peak? The crowd popped for The Hardy's music and The Hardy's. They would have erupted with or without the Broken gimmick. The very notion they wouldn't have is pretty silly TBH. I am aware though i'll admit to coming into wrestling as a whole slightly after their peak. The first show I ever saw was actually the one where Jericho and Benoit won the tag titles off Austin and HHH. All i'm saying is that the Broken gimmick has made Matt significantly more popular and a bigger draw in wrestling as a whole. I firmly believe that without it, the pop wouldn't have been as huge given what Matt was doing just prior to it. Some sort of elitist gimmick IIRC.

I guess Cena is closing, haven't seen him yet and a 6 man tag like this can't close Raw after Mania, you wouldn't think anyway.

Are the commentators drunk? Must have spent the night in the French Quarter after WrestleMania ended.

Are the commentators drunk? It's embarrassing. They should mute Cole and Coach (and the ring mic because Seth is calling spots ridiculously loudly).

I'm just trying to stipulate a couple of things here. Nostalgia played a factor but also. 1. The Broken gimmick is popular and played a significant role in the re-hiring of Matt Hardy. 2. It effected the pop in a positive manner, people were more excited to see them because of the gimmick.

Weird that this is ending the biggest RAW of the year.

Pretty odd choice to end this show of all the shows. A little anticlimactic , but I enjoyed RAW overall.
Not too anticlimactic for the crowd though , they are enjoying some Seth Rollins.

That was a weak way to end the show. Hope SmackDown's better tomorrow.

A little dull for sure but it made one thing clear.
Seth is definitely being positioned as the top babyface on the show. Sure they'll keep trying with Roman but Seth is right there.

I noticed there was no Asuka tonight. I wonder if this means he's gonna stick with SmackDown?

What a strange turn of events.
Despite getting his ass thoroughly kicked at WrestleMania, Roman is more concerned about the backstage politics. However, outside of Lesnar being absent from TV, none of Roman's complaints had anything to do with the match. So what if he signed with the UFC? In the narrative it just means Brock can walk out as undefeated champion. Unless the implication here is that Vince was supposed 'New Orleans Screwjob' Lesnar out of the title, what does it matter?
And that's exactly how the WWE is portraying this angle. Roman is coming off as a conspiracy nutter and was completely chewed up by Joe who got to cut a babyface promo on him.
I'm flummoxed. Where is this story going?
I'm glad to see Bobby Lashley back in the WWE. In 2016, he was hands down the best champion in the States and had come a long way since his WWE days. I'm not sure how he'll go in an overly-produced enironment, but if they can let him retain some of the swagger he had in TNA, he'll impress.

Again, Roman is the most oddly booked top babyface in the history of WWE. They go out of their way to make him seem unlikeable then are shocked that he doesn't get cheered. Also Joe came off really cool in his promo.
