Big night for the women! Paige is the new SD GM, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay debut by attacking Charlotte, and Carmella cashes in and is the new SmackDown Women's Champion! Plus the Superstar Shake-up is right around the corner...

Happy for Peyton, Billie, and Carmella.  I know Carmella isn't a great wrestler but she's a great character with defined traits and I'm interested to see where they take this. Same goes for Billie and Peyton, I hope this helps the division improve in the story area because that's where things have been lacking.

That was a killer segment. Billie and Peyton were amazing, their promo absolutely slayed.

Really well done segment. Love Iconic so I am glad they got such a good showing.

Much more interested in Carmella having the title than Charlotte. Be interesting to see where Charlotte end up during the shakeup.

Great promo from Carmella. Love how it reminded us that she got an assist not only for this championship win but also the Money in the Bank briefcase win.

When you've sat in a crowd of about 100 to watch someone and they end up making it to worldwide TV you get that GIF up with appropriate speed. 

I really like the new name (Iconics instead of Iconic Duo) - it sounds a lot more heelish and fitting for a wrestling team. But what happened to Peyton's Sulty XO NXT theme!?

If they ever split up, I'm sure she'll still have it.

It's great that Iconic got a long mic segment along with the beatdown, to introduce the audience to their characters. I think that really hurt the Riott Squad and Absolution, we really don't know much about their characters or motivations a couple of months in.

Great point. That's the real advantage that Billie and Peyton bring to the table though, you know they're going to knock it out of the park on the mic because they're both charismatic and they've honed their characters. Obviously it helped being in front of the vocal post-WM crowd but they got a great reaction.

Unfortunately the girls in those two other groups you mentioned are at a real risk of falling into anonymity now, although I hold out a little more hope that the writers will have something planned for Mandy and Sonya post-Paige.

IT WAS AN ICONIC NIGHT! I do wish they'd still come out to Peyton's theme every now and then. That really helped their image that they felt they were equals (even if Peyton was a few steps ahead in the ring and in terms of opportunities).

I'm not even mad that Charlotte lost the belt because we got a really good shake-up post WM, which is a good way to set the stage for the coming months. I hope and pray that Billie and Peyton get the Alexa Bliss rather than the Emma treatment on the main roster. That promo was fire and their facial expressions are amazing, so I look forward to what more the Iconics can come up with. I can actually see them chasing after Carmella's title immediately as being something that THEY did. And I wouldn't really mind Carmella being a transitional champion since she isn't really much in the ring.

And Paige as GM! Yay to keep her with a mic!

Will say this... there's been what 20 or so cash ins? I still despise how every time they do the refs acts confused.

Well I'd say that's true more for Riott Squad than Absolution. Sonya and Mandy at least have some character development whereas I don't feel that way at all for Sarah Logan, Liv Morgan or even Ruby. Iconic bring actual developed characters to the roster.  Something that is sorely lacking.

I thought it was a great touch to add even more drama to the situation giving the feeling that Charlotte might have time to recover especially when she's always booked so strongly.

Nice bit of symmetry with Mike Chioda as the referee too - he was also there when Edge cashed in the first male MITB contract.

I thought that was different and on purpose this time due to the fact Carmella had failed on several attempts to cash in. They were buying consistent in their attention to detail.
