The promo between Carmella, Charlotte, and Iconic was pretty good. The fight was kinda weak, and the match was just boring.  

The work by Billie reminded me of Aksanna or Bella Twins matches from their first couple months back in WWE, before they started expanding their movesets. Using the same rest hold 4 times in the same match is just unacceptable in today's era especially if it isn't building to anything, all it accomplishes is eating time in the most boring way possible.    

 SD is weird in that while the Women's ppv matches are usually very good the tv matches are super bland, the inverse is true for Raw to a lesser extent.  

Asuka to SD opens up a lot of matches ( I really want to see Naomi vs Asuka in a longer match). I really don't see the use of having Absolution on SD except to act as jobbers. 

It boggles the mind that Sanity gets called up to SmackDown, but Nikki Cross isn't. What's wrong with her in their eyes?

Like how Peyton got all the title matches in NXT and Billie ate all the jobs. I always thought Jessie McKay was a better wrestler than KC Cassidy before they were signed but now Billie doesn’t even get the showcases that Peyton does.

Smackdown has an interesting batch of girls now. I’d love for them to capture the feeling of when they first introduced the SD title, around late 2016, when every single woman had something different going for them.

It's not helpful that Billie wrestles oftentimes like she's in the 2010-2015 divas era. 

Agreed Dex, Billie putting the same rest hold on four different times was pretty basic. At least vary the armbar up or something! I'm willing to give them a few weeks to build up some speed. I thought the pre-Fastlane matches were really disappointing and then Ruby came out and put on a really good match with Charlotte at the PPV.

It was a real positive to see last week's long segment backed up again this week amongst all of the new faces. I thought Carmella's promo was really fantastic. She delivers her lines with some real panache and energy; I laughed out loud at her naming the title Cleopatra. Charlotte herself did better on the mic than she has done recently, and I just love everything about Billie and Peyton's characters.

I think we all suspected that Asuka was going to Smackdown (albeit initially through winning the title) so that was somewhat expected. Perhaps we will see Carmella & the Iconics vs Asuka, Charlotte and Becky at Backlash? As Dex alluded to there is a real risk that Mandy and Sonya get lost in the shuffle - I hope they do some sort of acknowledgment about their relationship with Paige.

if there was still a  face champ I could see them doing a storyline where they try to use their relationship with Paige to their advantage, in getting title shots and matches that are favorable to them like a triple threat title match with the two of them vs the champ. 


I don't think it would work with Charlotte as the champ though because she isn't very good at carrying.   It would work with Becky or Asuka though. 

Also I think the boring SD matches show that we need to find a way to clone Sarah Stock so she can produce the women's matches for both shows. The Raw tv matches are at least always somewhat interesting.


Who is the producer for the women's segments on SD is it Finlay? Maybe he's a little behind the times with how he produces the women's matches? Although Like you and I said the ppv n matches tend to usually be better . 

I wish they can call up Serena to help lay out the women's matches on Smackdown as a counterpoint to Sarah doing it on RAW. I know Serena's currently helping Sara Amato down in NXT, based on Liv's Instagram gaffe.

Sonya and Mandy moving was the correct choice. They can play the Paige relationship up, and getting Sonya away from Ronda will make her brand of MMA-esque matches still feel a bit different. Asuka moving to Smackdown was also pretty obvious with her being totally invisible the past few weeks. I lowkey wanted Alicia to move though. Hahaha.

I was actually kinda disappointed in the match. Billie was repetitive and Charlotte didn't really mesh well with her. Replace either one of them (or both) with Peyton and Becky and I think it would've made for a better TV match. The promos were quite good though, but I'm just scared we're going to be in for rotational six-diva tags like during the Riott Squad days. The Billie/Charlotte big boot conundrum is also there now, with both ladies using it as signature/finishers.

Also, annoyed that Nikki Cross is not moving up with Sanity. But I'm so excited for Zelina!

And were they chanting you deserve it during the Mellabration? Ugh that needs to go.

Yes! That was something else that stood out and really elevated the segment. She did it again when the neckbeards started a Yes chant when she talked about beating Charlotte, a really hilariously delivered "shut upppp, you guys are pathetic."

If I have a some very slight pet peeves regarding the IICONICS' entrance, I'd really like it if they switch Peyton and Billie's names in the entrance tron. It feels weird seeing Billie be on the left side of the screen, but having Peyton's name there. And then Peyton's on the right side of the screen, but it's Billie's name over there. I also know that pink and blue mesh better, but I miss having green as Peyton's signature color. Now it seems she's pink to Billie's blue.
