Geez AP, no rush or anything.
Don't worry guys, I've got you covered.
Edge shared a nice anecdote about the time Bruno called him in hospital. Apparently Bruno had heard about the surgery and even though he wasn't close friends with Edge just phoned in to check up on him. For Bruno to go to all the trouble of finding out what room he was staying in and what time he would have gotten out of surgery touched Edge and exemplified Bruno's stature as a class act.
They paid their tributes and went onto chat with Breezango about how their tag team came together. The conversation skipped around a lot but went something like this. In 2003, Johnny Curtis joined the company as a 21 year old and watched all his buddies get called up. With the advent of NXT, when it was a realty show, Curtis thought he'd finally get his shot only to be kept from the show for three seasons. He eventually got on the forth season but he still had to wait awhile before he received his big break. Meanwhile Tyler Breeze came into the company as Mike Dalton and every year he found himself on the chopping block. Everytime he was about to be released he'd catch a lucky break. For instance, he was supposed to be let go in 2012, but then he took a great uppercut from Cesaro which bought him more time. Then there was the ESPN documentary where Breeze was only on the show because officials at NXT thought he'd be a good example of a guy who doesn't make it to the top. What ended up saving him is that Woods suggested he should leave no stone unturned and come up with a few gimmicks. They brain-stormed a bunch of ideas, filmed some vignettes and showed Dusty. Dusty didn't like any of them, except for the delusional try-out who thought he could come into NXT oblivious of his own weaknesses, that character's name was Tyler Breeze. They tweaked the character to be ready for television and that's how he got his big break. Breeze put over Woods and shared a story about how he used to tease him because when Xavier got called up to the main roster, he didn't have his own theme music. So Breeze would find ways to play R-Truth or Brodus Clay's music to get under Xaviers skin.
Eventually Breeze was called up and like Xavier Woods, he found himself going nowhere fast. They eventually teamed him up with Fandango because the Golden Truth needed opponents and it gave them something to do. It could have been a dead end, but they enjoyed working together and tried to make the most of it. One week, Fandango was out injured which kept them off TV so Breeze decided to film a few skits with the .com people. He found a couple of police uniforms and they did a bit about being the fashion police. It started to get a response and when they started trending on Twitter, Vince decided to use them more even though he didn't care for the gimmick.
They've been enjoying the minor triumphs along the way but with The New Day, The Usos & The Bludgeon Brothers on the roster, they found themselves lost in the shuffle. The opportunity to move to Raw gives them a new set of opponents to work with and a fresh start.
They spoke about filming pieces for Edge & Christians new Network show and put each other over.
All in all, a worthwhile listen from one of the better acts to come from 2017.
