Bit of fun here & some fantasy booking which I've always found interesting,
So Vince McMahon employs you giving you a life changing amount of money to take over everything to do with 205 live going forward.
Your in charge of every aspect, from creative to signing new talent.
You can pick anyone you may think will make improvements to the 205 live roster from the current NXT roster.
You have an unlimited budget for new talent, You are given authority to sign up to 5 Superstars from anywhere on the worldwide independent circuit providing they are suitable for the 205 live roster and improve it.
Your first decision is to say Yes or No to the supposed new Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship division. You can either start it and book your way,or cancel that and focus on the main Roster. You can also start an alternative secondary Championship instead, it's all down to you.
Your champ just like currently is Cederic Alexander.
Have fun..

Agreed. I divert responsibility back to Triple H and Jonathan Baeckstrom because they are booking a near perfect show as it is.

- Give it at least a minute before starting, while Smackdown ends. Even if you instantly switch to WWE Network from whatever you were watching SD on, you'll miss the intro.
- Either more character development, or bring it people that are great promos. Enzo had mainstream appeal & was fantastic on the mic, he even mainevented RAW at one point.
- Make 205 live start before Smackdown, get the crowd warm with the fast paced CW action and ready for Smackdown. The crowd are less likely to leave for the ME of Smackdown then a random Cruiserweight match. Smackdown will still finish at the same time RAW does.
- If a heavyweight wins the WWE Champion, do a gimmicky "Heavyweight" Vs Cruiserweight Champion match at a PPV. Obviously would just look silly at the moment against AJ or Nakamura.
I really like that they showed Buddy Murphy get disqualifed for his weigh in, it made it seem like less of a work.
No tag belts.

Record the show in front of Smackdown.
Launch the Tag Titles so there's more for the CWs to compete for.
Agreed with System re: Buddy Murphy ... the weigh-in concept feeling like a "shoot" helps.
I'd do a second Cruiserweight Classic over the summer, bringing in people from NJPW, Mexico, ROH, etc. for a chance to win a Title Shot against the champ. Payoff would be at SummerSlam on the actual PPV card.

205 Live has a nice ring to it, but get rid of the insistence that it be live because forcing it after the SD! taping gives us a crowd that is anything but.

- I've always thought 205 Live should have something of a 'Shotgun Saturday Night' or early WWE ECW vibe in terms of presentation. I'd drag out the old later used ECW set and stick it in the audience like were doing with ECW, and change up the camera angle with the hard cam sitting on the traditional RAW ramp. My biggest gripe with the WWE presentation, is it's too clean and the audience too well lit up. Turn down the lights on the crowd and create a different feel all together. There's no cost in doing this.
- The belt goes from purple to black or white. In fact all the purple and bright colors are gone. And it presents more like a NXT Takeover.
- Absolutely no tag team titles. Unless a team ventures to Raw or Smackdown and brings home the belts. In fact, you wont see any other belts on this show, it's all about the Cruiserweight championship, who has it, who wants it, who is contending for it.
- Percy Watson is gone. See ya. Renee Young to commentary with Vic and Nigel, and more importantly, on the ground as the in-ring interviewer. Instead of the designer clothes, I want Renee in jeans and a vintage tee to sell the idea this is more rock 'n roll than they other brands. Her job is to carry some of the weaker promo guys in getting themselves over and initially create some banter/back and forth with the likes of Adam Cole.
The Roster Changes.
- The bulk of the 205 Live roster goes to NXT for repackaging and character development. NXT gets raided.
- 205 Live becomes the ADAM! COLE! SHOW! BAY-BAY! - he and the Undisputed Era get the call-up from NXT. Cole is the 205 Live Main Eventer and wins the title on almost day 1 in the division, while the other 3 work in 205 Live's upper-mid card feuding with..
- British Strong Style who play in the upper-mid card as the top babyface faction.
- Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa get the call up and spend the entire time working in the peripheral of each other building towards the eventual Championship / grudge match between the two.
- Adding to the main event with Cole, Johnny Wrestling and Ciampa are Hideo Itami - who steam rolls through the original 205 roster, re-establishing himself. Buddy Murphy who works as the brand's power house and the guy on the cusp of being a player. And....
- The returning Neville who serves as the brands top protagonist, for now, leading BSS in their feud with the Undisputed Era. Survivor Series is writing itself. There's almost a Bret v Shawn vibe with the cocky Adam Cole infuriating the straight laced but deadly Neville.
There's also enough higher profile talent on Raw and Smackdown who sit within the 205 weight limit or close enough - or fuck technicalities and let's pretend they do. I would use these guys as 'special attractions' to sell 205 Live main events. As well as utilizing NXT talent.
Considering most of these are 'shoot' billed weights anyway. And ideally produce main event 6 man tags/trios matches that can be marketed as money matches between PPVs featuring..
- British Strong Style - The Undisputed Era - Almas and The Lucha House Party - Woods, Kofi and an honorary member of New Day - Murphy and TM61, etc.
