Sure, it'll just be a coincidence when they close the store down due to "plumbing issues" and then reopen at a later date with brand new staff. Or just eliminate the positions that unionzed altogether like Walmart did with their meat cutters. Maybe it was part of the plan anyways, but seems fishy it happened right after they managed to vote yes lol.
The future of wage slaves and automation is gonna be an interesting thing to experience. Will they be forced to give us UBI as the robots do everything or will blood flow in the streets? Hopefully I'm dead by then.

The problem with trying to unionize these days is that companies can just fire everyone and hire new staff instead of dealing with the ones they have. Especially in stores like Walmart where training is like a 2 hour process. Fire everyone but the manager then have everyone new come in two hours early to learn how to use the register then you’re done. Unions are becoming a thing of the past. I’m in one and as much as I like the benefits I’m worried about the future. It’s a long story but I’m actually starting to think it’s going to cost me my job one day. Or at the very least I’m going to get laid off and re-hired at a lower wage. It’s unlawful in America to terminate someone or even close down a store/branch because they attempted to unionize. It’s even unlawful to threaten to do so. It is in Canada too. But it still happens because the corporations can afford it. They pay the fines/severances/whatever and move on once unions become more expensive than the alternative

HVW unceremoniously closed down, promoters brother started KPW and it’s basically the same stuff and venue just a few people weren’t asked to come back (myself & sandylea included). 0:12 cracked me up, been told there’s a “we want Fergus” chant every show also 😂. Can only perform where I’m asked 🤷🏻♀️.

So I was checking PW on my phone yesterday morning at work and had a whopping 29 likes. Figured it must have been some kind of glitch. Nope. 27 of them were from 🤯 :lol: What a legend. I've been quiet in fan fic of late. One of these years I'll get back to my mid 90s WWF project. Maybe I'll fantasy book the first NWA Powerrr pay per view a little later to get back in the swing of things.

So alexisonfire is playing a few shows out here in the west in January and I scored two tickets to the Vancouver show. They’re playing with The Distillers, a band my daughter really likes, so I’m going to take her. It’ll be her first real concert.
I’m absolutely psyched. They’re one of my favourite bands ever and I haven’t seen them live since they were nobodies in Ontario. I didn’t even know who I was watching until their first album came out. I was like “why do I know this song?” then next thing you know they’re on TV.
It’s a General Admission concert so I’m a tad nervous because my daughter is rather delicate, but we’ll be wearing hearing protection and I’ll be hanging out at the back with any other cool dads. I think it’ll be a good time.
And hey, if it ends up not, we chalk it up to a learning experience and I’m out a bit of cash that I’ll make back. No harm no foul.

He, like a lot of other people, asked for his release privately and then commented on the asking for said release on Twitter. And then Triple H buried people like them in his latest conference call thingy, leading Biff to make that comment.
But here's the thing: with WWE, when you do things the "correct" way and ask politely and quietly and don't make a fuss to get released, you end up like PAC and you don't wrestle for a year. Or you end up like Mysterio where they freeze your contract and add more time onto it.

I can’t find a screenshot anywhere but it was essentially saying that Triple H calling out wrestlers asking for their release is a dick move and the more professional thing to do as a promoter would be to approach the talent privately.

So the missus and I went to California last weekend and picked out our new home (rental). Such a different economy. In Charlotte we owned a three BR, 2,000 sq ft townhome in a great school district, with a $1100/mo mortgage.
We’re now renting a 3BR/2BA home that’s 1500 sq ft for $3225/mo. Buying a home like this - approx $800K - was just not feasible.
The rent is still under the recommended percent of income, but damn does it hurt.

Meanwhile loving that Wife and I just did the opposite with the move back to Pittsburgh. We could pay the same as Boston rent and live like queen and king here. Love places where a dollar actually goes as far as a dollar should.
