I think the worst thing and it speaks the how interesting Bobby has been upon his return , is that I didn't even blink an eye when I read this. In fact my first thought was ... well I guess Braun is going to crush in another handicap match.

Bobby needs a mouthpiece as bad as anyone in history. He's the dullest character of all time.

Don’t worry, I quickly watched this video at the airport and told a co-worker Lashley was back. Every time I’d come to work he’d proclaim “Bobby Lashley” making fun of me falling for this fake video..until he returned for real.

Then I tagged him in the link in this thread, but quickly deleted after I double checked. Glad he didn’t see that one as well 😂

I can't believe the WWE hasn't done anything constructive we this dude since he's returned.

Since the Roman Reigns experiment has completely and uttlerly failed, other than Brawn Strowman, there's no one else who could realistically dethrone the current Universal Champion BORK Lesnar - and even then they jobbed Strowman out a couple of months ago and made him look like a chump.

However, if given some dominant booking, Bobby Lashley could easily be the next big contender for BORK Lesnar's Universal Championship. If I'm not mistaken, Bobby is former-MMA athlete, right? It sells itself!

Everyone was saying how much better he'd gotten since WWE first released him. I have yet to see that. He is a charisma vacuum and his performance so far has been shaky at best. Wouldn't have bothered me if they did release him again so soon.

I thought Lashley developed solid mic skills in TNA. He hasn't really had mic time.

It's still early days for the WWE incarnation of Lashley. We've got to go through the same process guys like The Dudley Boyz and the Hardy Boyz went through before they can show what they're capable of. Not only has his character gone through a time warp, but he's had to alter his move-list. His big finish was the spear which of course is now Roman's move, so they've given him the delayed suplex as an alternative. That won't last long, but he's going to have to come up with something cool if he wants to stand out.

This is the problem with debuting a bunch of guys and girls around the same time. Instead of having all these different moving parts at different stages, we're stuck with a bunch of acts trying to establish themselves as quickly as possible. So we get these instances where a guy like Lashley has to bide his time before he can engage in anything meaningful.

Lashley found himself in TNA. It wasn't anything ground-breaking like the Broken Matt Hardy stuff, but he learned how to cut effective cocky heel promos and his matches were all good main event style bouts. I'd still put his match against Davey Richards against any Universal Championship match I saw last year. Again, he wasn't for everybody and those who can't stand Lesnar may not like Lashley, but nobody who watched TNA could say he went backwards in his time with the company.

Playing face in peril for Braun's hot tag is doing him no favours at all, and is just highlighting that he is Power Dude 1b who has less charisma and does less exciting stuff in the ring.

They should have held off bringing him back until now to avoid him being caught up in the post-WM shambles that BP alluded to before me.

Wonder if WWE could sanction a UFC type match between him and Brock. That’s about the only thing that would really grab my interest right now.

I don't get why WWE acts like Lashley didn't hasn't had a career since he left WWE the first time from a character perspective. The interview with Renee was kinda cheesy.

Kinda? It was horrible. It did not help him in the least.

And now Michinokudriver is concerned about him or his sister being a psychopath and I doubt he's the only one.

He's a young black Goldberg. I never cared for him in his first WWE run. They do not reference him being a former World champion in WWE's ECW or being the representative of Donald Trump in the billionaire vs billionaire hair match. He has no charisma and taking the long road with him on this run will not help him. If you want him to be branded as a legit badass, you have him arrive the night after Wrestlemania and spear or dominate Lesnar and then walk off. Boom. Match set. Instead no. He debuts AGAIN in a throwaway angle with Elias who was on the cusp of greatness before he was knocked down a few pegs. Elias oozes charisma. Bobby Lashley doesn't have any. He's a more compact Titus O'Neil, looks damn near like Apollo Crews, and has no wrestling ability. He'll be Universal Champion at SummerSlam.
