I've never seen Kick-Ass so I couldn't rate it.

Yeah I skipped out on this list because I assumed they had to be based on a comic, there’s too much discussion over grey area with these lists.
The Watchmen is my favourite followed closely by The Crow.
Scott Pilgrim is one of the worst films I’ve ever seen.

Kind of surprised TMNT scored this well, I had it just outside of my top 10, as I found the original good but not great by any means.
Also yet another IP Michael Bay has smeared with feces.

I'm not surprised. Think of the average age of the people that submitted lists and that should tell you all you need to know. And the movie still totally holds up. I watched it again last year and it's still so dope.

I don't even know where to start with this iconic movie , it was my #1 with a bullet and if/when we do top movies of all time it is a serious contender for my #1 movie of all time and is a lock for the top three. It's an age thing for sure as I was caught up in the TMNT wave that crushed in the nineties (130 million in 1990?!) and it continues to influence my life today as I still have a massive turtle obsession and collection. This is the movie and thing that started it all. A lot of people have Star Wars , or Trek or whatever - I have the Ninja Turtles. They are the best.
The movie itself is a perfect blend of darkness and comedy with some great bit plays by Casey , April and Splinter. The scene around the campfire still gives me chills and I love the ending where they all come together. Just a perfect movie for me.

I love the TMNT cartoon, but I feel all of the movies (originals & Bay ones) are bad.

I figured it would be the top spot. Truth be told outside of the original viewing in the theatre I don't think I ever saw it again. A re watch is in order. Despite that I think I had it high on my list even if I remember nuffin.

What is wrong with you people? If TMNT didn't finish in the top 3 I was going to question your judgment, but I'm doing that anyway with these comments.
And you know what? I'm gonna say it: the second Michael Bay turtles movie isn't terrible. Will I watch it again? No. Was it a great movie? No. But was it better than Turtles In Time? Yes.

Secret of the Ooze was...ok. They went for the kid-friendly route which is why it wasn't as good. That sucked, but I get it. Gotta get the biggest audience you can, especially back then when Disney was releasing a blockbuster cartoon every year.

Secret of the Ooze was my #2 and another contender for my overall top ten(?). Place and time again and as a kid I probably enjoyed it more because of how light it was. And it had Vanilla Ice dropping some sick bars. As for BOTH Bay remakes , I'll also stand by them for what they were and the first one also made my list further down. I'll consume anything TMNT and I thought that Mikey was incredible in both of those and him being my favorite - I'll fight for both those movies. The most jarring part was getting used to the aesthetics of the turtles but they'll never be as perfect as the original (1990). Ill watch part three , enjoyed the cartoon version of TMNT as well. The only version I won't stand by is the Turtles In Time one that RT mentioned. Direct to TV bullshit with the wonkiest looking Turtles of all time. I'll go Cowabunga on all your asses if this negativity keeps up.

Despite not getting a list in for this, I love that the original Ninja Turtles movie made the top three. The movie would have been high on my list, most likely top three for sure.

I love Men in Black , I think the turtles movies are the only ones to finish ahead of it.
Fun story with the first time watching it , I think I was in the 6th grade for class movie day and we had the option to pick the movie to watch , so we obviously went with an Adam Sandler flick to which our advisor said no because of the crude humor and language and instead forced MIB on us. So me and a few buddies in our ever defiant adolescent minds decided to count the swear words in this movie to try and make a point (there were something like 47 that we counted) - it really didn't prove anything except teachers suck.
In the end though I'm happy they did because I loved the movie then and I love it now. If you're a Will Smith fan there is really no way not to enjoy this movie because this puts his charisma and swagger on full display and does so with a perfect straight man to play off in Tommy Lee Jones.
The other highlight of the movie is D'Onofrio as Edgar , just an incredible job as the villian.

My list didn't have much in common with the final list.
1. Oldboy 2. Unbreakable 3. Scott Pilgrim vs The World 4. A History Of Violence 5. Kingsman: The Secret Service 6. Conan The Barbarian 7. Men In Black 8. Kick-Ass 9. Red Sonja 10. Road To Perdition
Oldboy is based on a manga. I never knew that until compiling this list. One of the best movies ever made.

I totally skipped over Men In Black when checking the “based on comics” lists. I totally would have voted for it. Ah well. Clearly everyone else did.

I'm not sure it MIB makes sense to me or is a WTF?! #1... Need to check my list, but don't think it made it on there. Like RT, I don't think I had a lot of overlap this time.
