On-par? Holy shit ... that was one of the worst things I’ve ever tried to stomach. His voice fluctuates between mumbled and a really bad DMX imitation.
I didn’t think he could be a worse rapper than a wrestler, and yet here we are.
Dude needs to go back to managing a gym.

I left out the rest of the lyrics to the first song as well. Like 50% of rap tracks ever? Viral video aside the song isn’t profound. Pusha T, Immortal Technique, Jay-Z, Kanye* to name a few have much better stuff surrounding those issues. I get it the video is meant to be incredibly woke though, cause that’s what the narrative is at the moment. (*In b4 whoopity scoop song 😂) My point was people liked Lil Pump, Lil Yatchy etc are the current trend setters in hip-hop so it’s not like Enzo has much to compete with to be considered competent.

I'm afraid to listen to this (for fear of how awful it will be), but do need to admit two unpopular things:
1.) I thought Enzo had all sorts of promise and upside as a WWE Superstar. It's a shame when real life fucks shit up!
2.) I don't think "This is America" is a great or even good or OK song. I don't really get Childish Gambino, and I miss Community (although I don't think missing Community is an unpopular thing to admit).
