So let's say you're the WWE in 2018 and you had the choice between signing Hamada who for the purposes of this thread in her prime ( so early-mid twenties ) or Io Shirai, who would you pick? Also, who do you think the WWE would actually pick?
It's a harder decision than one might think, Io definitely has the "look" advantage, as while prime Ayako was far from ugly she doesn't have the "idol" look that Io has. But on the other hand, Hamada is already bilingual speaking both Spanish and Japanese fluently and could be used to advertise in the Latin markets . She's also a bit more versatile a worker than Io is although both are obviously excellent. Io, however, is probably better at getting better matches out of lesser opponents as Ayako ahs had some boring matches against the lies of Daffney and Tara.

She's reportedly been signed, hasn't she? Granted that could all change barring medical like last time... but that kinda answers the question of who WWE would pick. I'd probably pick Hamada just because her look is a little different and she feels unique compared to Asuka and Kairi who are already there.

I know Io's probably signed, this is just a hypothetical between the two only with a younger Hamada.

Couldn't go wrong with either option, but I'd pick Io probably just based on the fact that she's a little bit more spectacular and just generally seems to fit in better with the current roster (her history with Asuka, the fact that a number of her moves are already done by other girls, etc.)

Probably not fair, but considering I've seen far more of Ayako Hamada than I have of Io Shirai... I'd have to go with Hamada.

I think Io might even be a bit better, but I think Hamada would stand out more and offer a more unique presence to the current women's division which I think would be pretty damn cool.
