On Friday 13th they released 25 year anny special edition of Black Sabbath double live Reunion album, I just seen it on my Amazon music and pretty stoked since it was never available on there before. I had this back in the day and it was my introduction to real Black Sabbath. Even latter after I collected the original albums I still loved and appreciated the Reunion album because of the way the songs sound recorded through modern equipment and tech. Recorded in the UK in like 1997 It’s razor sharp, clear, punchy and heavier sound than the 50 year old original album recordings(the older school analog sound lends to their atmospheres though). It has my favorite version of Dirty Women and a few others, plus the two original studio tracks they recorded were great too. When I seen the band live at Ozzfest 2004 this was identical to what they sounded like and it was awesome.
What’s missing from the digital streaming version is the CD had a really sweet biography of the band in the booklet, it was huge and went deep into all 4 guys stories before during and after Sabbath, nice in depth linear album by album telling of how it all went down.

Stumbled on the new Green Day track, I haven't really liked much from this band in over 20+ years but it came up in the feeds and man it's bad. It's like new day Weezer. It was so uninspiring it got me back to this thread.
Have yet to listen to the new albums of GUNSHIP & Imminence, probably my next 2 albums up.

And of course I have been all in with this new album of Silent Planet(Well the bits and pieces I have heard of it). I have heard of their music before in the past but this song "Collider" is just phenomenal. It's like whatever Archiects had going for themselves in the late 2010's is gone and Silent Planet just inherited it all, this song is so friggin' good(Especially the chorus) and the couple of tracks I heard on this album are heavy and are just different from each other which is always appreciated.
I did like the 1st half of the new GUNSHIP album btw, just need to finish the rest of it up but it was pretty good.

Posted a few GUNSHIP songs off this new album and I haven't fully listened to the album yet but this song just doesn't let up. I put it in spoilers because dat demon cheeks but this song is super good. The Portal references are like the cherry on top. Not familiar with LIGHTS but she meshes super well with this song. And Tim Cappaello as we've gone through it before is like giving the ball to Mariano Rivera or Edwin Diaz in the 9th inning, GUNSHIP might as well make him a full time member at this point.
I thought I posted this song up already but alas.

Worthy of hype for you @admin ? Apparently it's a jazz flute album which is one of the all time great trolls. Track 2: The Slang Word P(*)ssy Rolls Off The Tongue With Far Better Ease Than The Proper Word Vagina. Do You Agree?

New Blue Sun Andre 3000
Seeing all the constant jokes and memes surrounding this project decided to give it a listen. I just know a few OutKast songs so it’s not like I was a huge fan annoyed at the news this was an instrumental album. This is a great album for long train rides or on a plane, probably wouldn’t advise will driving though. For the most part it sounds like the music you’d hear at a massage parlour though Track 4 goes into some weird almost Metroid like directions. Some of the tracks (most tracks are over 10 minutes) go in all sorts of directions that you don’t realise it’s the same track until you look at the ridiculously long track title scrolling through. It’s not as thematic as a lot of Tim Hecker’s work (Virgins & Konoyo are both great albums) or captures the atmosphere quite as well as Burzum’s instrumental albums but still a worthy listen if you want to chill and stare out the window or meditate. Rating 8/10

Shaping up to be my favorite album this year the new Iration that dropped in October is excellent One of those Cali reggae bands that you think should be way bigger deal than they are, would have been platinum selling band all over the radio in the 90’s, but young kids in 2023 could care less for this type of stuff. Go to one of their shows and it’s mostly all over 30 crowd. Great songwriters that can tell a story in a song, to me this genre of music I call it “new music for old people” 😂.

Iration Daytripping takes my Album Of The Year, disappointing releases this year from Elovaters and Surfer Girl but this one is excellent. Slept on this track the first few weeks but finally coming around to it as MVP of the album:

I don't know if it means anything or has any correlation at all with 2023 music, but a song released in 1984 has just got the 'Christmans #1 spot' in the music charts here in the UK.
Not gonna lie, it is a good song though.

Now THIS is country. Glad to see some of the younger generation keeping it alive.
