France is the luckiest team in the world. First goal being an OG and then the PK. Fucking scrubs!
Croatia is outplaying them, but they need to capitalize. This second half is going to be a ball to watch.

Man, all the bounces seem to be going France's way. An own goal, a penalty, and now Pogba scoring on his own rebound.

France are your 2018 World Cup Champs. Fun little tournament granted there were no USA to cheer for.

France are your 2018 World Cup Champs. Fun little tournament granted there were no USA to cheer for. I think seeing some of the heavyweights not there, seeing other favorites drop early, and the addition of video review, made this tournament extra interesting.

Think France will go close this year In Greizmann, M'bappe, Dembele and Lemar they have goals and creativity. Expect Pogba to show more in this France side than he has for Man United this season, with Kante protecting the back 4. They have one of the world's best full backs in Mendy if he is back up to speed after his injury, and a top keeper in Lloris. Centre of defence looks a little shakey, and I'm amazed Laporte didn't make their squad but I'd still back them for a big run. *cough* Granted Lemar barely got a kick all tournament, and neither did Mendy (thought Hernandez was great for them) - they have got lucky along the way but I suppose you need that in tournament football, the best team doesn't always win a knockout competition. Their big players like Greizmann and Mbappe, and Pogba in the final, delivered at crucial times. Kante was a beast all tournament as well

Good call daveymolz Croatia put up a brave fight but a French victory seemed inevitable the moment they beat Belgium, and for all the silly criticism they received for being dull, they scored four goals in two different knockout games. Even having wasted the Euro 2016 final, given the age of their key players they could very well go on a similar run to Spain from the previous decade. I expected a cagey game so I was pleased with what we got. A real reflection of the tournament as a whole with an own goal, a VAR penalty and a couple of bangers from outside the box.
