I'll be honest, this year I really didn't watch that much anime. As you guys may know, for the last several years, I've been keeping track of how much anime I watch in a single year (usually just going past the 40 mark of completed projects), but this year I didn't even make it to 20. Completed Anime in 2019 A Silent Voice (2016) Assassination Classroom S2 (2016) Attack on Titan S3/P2 (2019) Black Fox (2019) Dororo (2019) Dragon Ball Super (2015) Fairy Gone S1 (2019) Fairy Gone S2 (2019) Godzilla: The Planet Eater (2018) Ito Junji: Collection (2018) Last Hope (2018) One Punch Man S2 (2019) Pokemon: The Power of Us (2018) Psychic Detective Yakumo (2010) Sirius the Jaeger (2018) The Promised Neverland (2019) Tokyo Ghoul:re S2 (2018) Your Name (2016)
From that list, The Promised Neverland was probably my favourite show that I completed. Having said that, I did dig the new seasons of One Punch Man and Attack on Titan as well.

Snagged the first season on my laptop. Figured 13 episodes isn't much of an investment on the off chance I don't like it. Looks like the others are 25 a piece, so I wonder if the networks had a similar idea and it took off so they went all in with it?

Started first episode of Hero. I'm invested, I just hope the main doesn't stay a whiny guy the whole time.

Kacchan/Bakugo (whatever) may be the most annoying character ever. But I'll give Hero credit for 2 reasons. If the goal is to give him heat with me, it works. It also probably saves them a ton on paying a voice actor since they only needed to pay someone for two lines (you damn nerd, I'll kill you).

Honestly, after the super high of the epic season-long match last season I thought the show was going to drag because nothing could possibly follow that and maintain the same level of tension and excitement. What the show did though, was take a turn away from the matches and into some interesting plot developments that pulled me in again right away. The characters are taken out of their comfort zones and thrown into some very unusual circumstances and basically have to crawl back up to the top again from the bottom. Haikyuu! is consistently managing to remain one of my favorites and something I really look forward to seeing each week.
Oh, and the intro is fucking awesome too. Burnout Syndromes is such a good band!
My wife really, really wanted to watch this one because she read the manga not that long ago. Although it isn't the best and doesn't make a lot of sense, it's good fun. Things really started picking up in episode 3 and it started pulling me in more with the atmosphere and I kind of felt some nostalgic vibes with it reminding me of some other shows that I've seen in the past. My wife is kind of having a love/hate relationship since they made some unusual changes from the manga that made the story worse for no reason but it's still enjoyable overall.
I finally started watching Demon Slayer and I wasn't sure what to think at first because I don't love the animation style or how the characters look but it's got a very epic mysterious style that kind of reminds me of Mushi-Shi. By the end of the first episode, I was already convinced that it was very good but I am only a few episodes in and don't know what direction the show is going to head in from here. Although episode 3 was confusing in that I have no idea if he was hallucinating or if anything in it actually happened, it made me like the show even more.

I just finished the latest Darwin’s Game a few minutes ago. It is simultaneously making less sense plotwise and continuing to pull me in at the same time. I guess I can forgive blatant plot holes when it’s interesting anyway. The latest Haikyuu episode was one of the best yet with the epic return of THE KING OF THE COURT and would be the thing I look forward to most each week were it not for Star Trek: Picard being so damn good. I am also slowly working through Demon Slayer, but not very far yet. It looks promising like it could end up to be pretty amazing, but we’ll see.

I haven't started S2, but it's on the horizon basically.
I'll need to sandwich it in between Rezero and Major 2nd this next season.

Not going to lie, been out of the anime biz for quite a bit. Kinda hard to find something that I can stick with that can really keep my attention. After my general distaste with Bleach & Naruto, kinda hard to really jump into Shonen. Would really like to hit up My Hero but afraid that it would lead to the same disappointment. Dunno, a lot of it has to do with so little time too. i really like video gaming and other stuff, so kinda hard to put anime in the schedule sometimes when you have a backlog of 100 or so game ranging from PS2-PS4.

What might make Hero more tolerable is the fact that it's released in actual seasons, so nothing weekly like Naruto and Bleach.
My anime viewing is vastly different today than it was at the height of the anime thread on PW. These days in a typical season I'll maybe follow 3 series. And if I'm not all in by the end of the first episode I drop them. Backlogs are really not worth the hassle IMO if you're not constantly chipping away at them. Before streaming was a viable option I had piles and piles of episodes burnt to discs for later consumption. Eventually I just trashed everything and started from scratch moving forward. It's tough between this, gaming and TV shows it can be hard to play catch-up. Probably why it took me a bit to start Hero since by time it was on my radar it was a few seasons in and I didn't think I had it in me to follow another 100+ episode epic.

G/B, I get it, man. As for My Hero Academia, I absolutely love the series. Is it perfect? No, but it's such an enjoyable show.

If you can get passed the main character's scream talking in the first few episodes Black Clover's is a good Shonen anime.

Started season 2 of My Hero. Feels like One Punch Man could be in the same universe with how they deal with heroes and licenses.
Frog Girl is S Class.

So it really seems like our boy's quirk is just his brain since he comes up with out of the box solutions to make up for his lack of ability since he doesn't really use his much (so far).

Finished the recent season of Nanatsu Seven Deadly Sins.
First half I was going through the motions, but they pulled me in. Looks like the manga ended earlier this year and supposedly (via wiki) there's another season in October, so gonna assume that wraps everything up. Enjoyed the ride and Hawk is the man.

So I ended up dropping Gleipnir, just wasn't really feeling it after two episodes. As for BNA, let's just say I haven't even started it yet.
As for the fourth season of My Hero Academia, I liked it, for the most part. It wasn't bad or anything, but definitely the weakest season of the show so far (which really says more about how great the first three seasons were).

Well, I'm starting the third season. Luckily not much to watch for me this season of anime and plus corona-chan kinda slowed down releases of what I was even watching anyway.
