Looks like a serious knee injury to me. Mercilus out for the game too on the first series so a costly start for the Texans.

Alex Smith looks like a completely different quarterback this season and I think it's largely down to confidence and comfort. He looks calm and in command at all times, and seems to be reading the field really well.
Obviously not at quite the same level, but his pocket awareness and ability to escape and use his legs to extend plays and subsequently make accurate throws on the move is Rodgers-esque.

Yeah, this is the regular season. Their first playoff game will be a disaster where they can't move the ball and they'll lose and be eliminated without a win. That'll be the reminder to everyone who Alex Smith and these Chiefs are. It's a hard fact, even though I like what they're doing so far.

The scrambling has always been there, but he never really passed it before. He’s had a few the last two weeks that have been absurd. Chiefs defense suddenly being abused here to end the half. The run defense is the weakest link.

That was a good drive to keep the game interesting from the neutral perspective. Thank goodness Houston have finally found someone to throw the ball to Hopkins.

Not really understanding any part of what Parker just did there on the TD. Usually he plays pretty smart but PI in front of the red in the end zone is stupid and he could’ve just tried defending the guy. Bad play.

Wouldn’t be shocked if Kelce is done after that hit.

Kelce is slick. He was trying to get that extra 15 yards by acting a little bit. I don't think that hit did much for him. He just had to keep the act going when it didn't work. Of course he ran back out there. I do love his swag, though. He's my favorite Chief. Is it just me or does he ALWAYS own the Texans?
Deshaun Watson has looked bad so far this game. He can really make himself the new King of Houston with a comeback win in this second half.

Fractured tibial plateau for JJ. It could've been worse. Dr Chao on Twitter says it's worse than an ACL tear so I think it's pretty bad. Kelce back in the concussion protocol even though Kid says he's fine. PW Doctors at their best here tonight.

Ouch, Terrance Mitchell's night goes from bad to worse. Will Fuller's finally starting to be that #2 receiver the Texans have been crying out for.

Much better play calling on that Chiefs drive, getting the ball out on the edge using their speedsters. Took a bit of time to adjust to Kelce's absence but they reestablish the two score lead.

Wow. Watson throws for 5 TDs, but the Texans still lose. The losses of Mercilus and Watt were huge.

Texans are probably going to end up in the exact same situation they were in last year, a logjam 9-7 race in the AFC South, but at least they're fun to watch this year with Watson. 10 total touchdowns in the past two weeks, just heaving the ball up and letting his receivers go and get it.

Chiefs/NFL letting Kelce go back out after that hit is inexcusable.

Chiefs/NFL letting Kelce go back out after that hit is inexcusable. I think it showed that the concussion protocol is still very flawed, because he may well have passed the tests on the sideline after the hit and the symptoms might have been delayed, but it was fairly clear to anyone who saw the hit that he shouldn't have been back in the game.

I've never been so calm and confident down 4 points with a minute left on the clock than I was yesterday. Aaron Rodgers is just feeling it , proving why I'll always consider him the GOAT - just incredible execution. It was completely foreshadowed as well.
And god damn Aaron Jones , I got one right. Watching since training camp I said Jones was the most impressive of the rookies , thank god Williams got slowed just enough to give Jones time to shine.
I feel for the Texans , sucks seeing Watt go down again and now Mercilus joins him. They find a quarterback and lose two of their best defensive players.

The Texans can't catch a break. It's so sad.
We saw the true Tyrod Taylor yesterday against Cincinnati. The Bills had every opportunity to win that game and all the blame for that loss should be on Taylor. Every time he starts to show promise, that he can control an offense, convert big downs, make the right decisions, he goes and has a game like that and we're right back where we started with him.
He panicks in the pocket, he can't get rid of the ball to save his life, he doesn't know where his receivers are half the time because he takes two steps then scrambles...it's brutal watching him when the offense isn't clicking.
Basically if McCoy has a bad game (like he did yesterday), the Bills' offense is fucked. Plain and simple. Yesterday was a perfect example. The Bills should have had like 30+ points yesterday.

Looking forward to tonight's game - Trubisky's debut and Bradford back for the Vikes. Could be plenty of points the way those two showed in the preseason and Week 1.
