Slow start, Mitch hamstrung by John Fox’s terrible coaching and Bradford looking a bit rusty after a couple of weeks out.

We're only into the second quarter, but Bradford looks done.
What an awful drive, only one first down, should have been picked off twice only to get blitzed.

Bradford looks timid and uncomfortable, apparently well short of 100%. They’d be better off with Keenum who hadn’t done too bad the past two weeks.

It'd be incredible if the Vikings managed to take a lead into half-time.
Huge play by Griffen.

Well I definitely jinxed this game didn’t I? 3-2 at halftime with both scores registered by the defences.

I predicted a low scoring affair as I figured both defenses would play hard. Trubitsky making his first start against the Purple Eaters is tough, too. Next week he gets the Ravens. They picked a weird time to pull the trigger against those two defenses.
I still think the Bears win this game on a game winning drive.

Vikings finally moving the ball now they have a functional QB. Pretty big indictment on the coaches that it took so long to make a change.

Keenum has changed the complexion of the game. Not sure about the post-TD celebration, but I'm sure they're working on more.
Chicago need to respond in kind, otherwise the Vikings will run away with this.

After a dumb play, Chicago respond with a punt fake and get the TD.
Game on.

Lmao!
A fake punt for a TD! The punter throws his first career TD before Trubitsky.

Not sure about the post-TD celebration, but I'm sure they're working on more. Thank goodness we got celebrations back. Great special teams play! Exactly what the Bears needed with their spluttering offence. Surely you have to go for two there though?!

I love the celebrations, but duck, duck, goose? Did a 4-year-old come up with that?
This game has come alive now, Shummur's offense exposed Jones and Anderson there and McKinnon came up with one of the biggest plays of his career. Not a bad response after an awful performance against Detroit.

Bears looking disorganised on both sides of the ball and injuries are accentuating it. Trubisky is doing what he can but the lack of receivers is really showing. The Kevin White bust hurts.

Trubisky keeps persevering and while he was lucky that Sendejo didn't pick him off, his determination paid off.
Nifty 2-point conversion.
Pressure back on the Vikings, the Bears crowd has come alive and it may get them home.

Kevin White has yet to get a chance to prove himself. He's just constantly injured. I never thought he'd be too good, though. He's just too small.
Trubitsky to lead a game winning drive in his debut?

What a terrible pass by Trubitsky. Can the Vikings get in FG range to win this one and make the storyline Trubitskys rookie mistake costing them?

I really didn't like that holding penalty on Rudolph that set up the winning FG. Always frustrating to see referees make a game deciding call when it's as ticky-tack as that.

That's exactly how it went down, Kid. Trubisky tried to take on an All-Pro Safety and ended up paying the price. The kicker was the holding penalty on Rudolph which all be ensured the Vikings victory.
Pretty enjoyable second half of football. Both teams struggled in the first half, made changes, they worked but in the end the Vikings defence shone through and really they were the better side in the second half. I always enjoy these grinding wins where both sides have to deal with injuries, they persevere and in the end the game goes down to the wire. It's a shame that the Trubisky interception is going to be the focus of the game, and not both teams making the most of a tough situation.

What's being overlooked is this; the Bears offense sucks. That defense keeps them in every game and that offense can't do shit. Especially that WR core. I would take the Jets receivers over them. I wouldn't know who to pick between there WRs and the Browns WRs. It's awful. It cost them the first game of the season as they couldn't catch a ball in the end zone and they continue to be their weakness. The Bears offense ONLY scored 8 points today. Their defense got them 2 and their special teams got them 7. That offense is dreadful and to throw a rookie QB into that situation is just setting someone up for disaster. I know they got pressured to do it, but Trubitsky is not going to gain confidence throwing to these bums. It's going to be a hard season for him. Especially after that dud debut. In my opinion, Mark Sanchez should be out there and they should be saving Trubitsky for next season. I get the pressure got to the organization to make the switch, but it's destined to fail. They should've kept Victor Cruz. How he got beat out by these scrubs blows my mind.
Up next for the Bears is that feisty Ravens defense on the road. That's another game where Trubitsky is going to get blasted. If you're going to draft a QB at #2, you should start him from Day 1. Not put him out there in the 5th game against a hard defense and follow it up with another one. Bad player management.

I don't think anyone is unaware that their receivers are terrible. I said it a couple of posts ago, and Gruden was talking about it all game tonight so it's hardly being "overlooked".
That obviously makes it difficult for Trubisky to shine, but it's a better situation than being a rookie with no protection. They have a decent enough line and a functional running game so he won't be getting "blasted", just won't be able to put up the production that Watson is/will. He's their best quarterback so should be starting, and the player management issue really just came from the offseason where they gave Glennon too much guaranteed money and consequently had to start him, otherwise I think they likely would have gone with Trubisky from the outset.
And there's only one T in his name.

Alex Smith looks like a completely different quarterback this season and I think it's largely down to confidence and comfort. He looks calm and in command at all times, and seems to be reading the field really well. Obviously not at quite the same level, but his pocket awareness and ability to escape and use his legs to extend plays and subsequently make accurate throws on the move is Rodgers-esque. Yeah, this is the regular season. Their first playoff game will be a disaster where they can't move the ball and they'll lose and be eliminated without a win. That'll be the reminder to everyone who Alex Smith and these Chiefs are. It's a hard fact, even though I like what they're doing so far. Im Alex Smith led playoff games the Chiefs have scored 44, 30, 20, and 16. They have only once lost a playoff game because the team didn’t move the ball.

I love how Kids take is the Bears offense now sucks , as I said last week - their receivers wouldn't even make most teams rosters. I thought Trubisky played okay last night given the circumstances but I do fear for his future with a franchise that consistently fails to draft and develop offensive talent. The game went about like I thought it would last night , although I could of done without all the penalties. I figured it would struggle to score over 20 and come down to a one score game though.

This is the best result for all parties involved. Saints are no longer log jammed at the RB position trying to fit in touches are 3 RBs, AP goes to a team that is in desperate need of a running game, and the Cardinals who are last in the league in rushing take a chance on a guy that could spark the team.

This year's Chiefs team feels different. It seems like they have gotten over the hump offensively with Alex Smith is having a career year and Kareem Hunt emerging as a playmaker. The AFC looks weaker than usual this year too. Don't count the Pats out in the playoffs though.
