Draft Lottery is how it's done.  And has been done for over 30 years. now

And why is that instituted again?

If they don't get first overall pick why should they get it again?

John Wall who is already out for the season with a heel injury had a “slip and fall” at home and tore his Achilles and is now out an additional 12 months.

Horrible news for the Wizards and an expensive injury. Time to trade Bradley Beal for something because this franchise is finished.

Because a 12.5% chance at the first pick is better than a 4% one.

The rules are in place to keep teams from tanking. Some do anyway, but they do so with the knowledge that tanking doesn’t guarantee a top 3 pick and as some places have found out there’s just not nearly the value in the fourth pick to justify it.

But I think the KP trade was a salary dump anyway. They want the free agents, the tank was in already. The trade on its face may have made them better for this season, depending on when Porzingis comes back and how he looks.

According to Woj, The Grizzlies just traded Marc Gasol to Toronto. Memphis is getting back Jonas Valanciunas, CJ Miles, Delon Wright, and second round pick in 2024.

Yeah, a lot of trades went down today.

Gasol a Raptor is huge. Toronto made their move. The Bucks made their move by trading for Mirotic. Philly made their move by trading for Harris.

The 76ers finally gave up on Fultz and sent him to Orlando along with a first round pick for Simmons. They just wanted him out of their hands.

The Lakers did nothing remarkable. Got rid of Beasley and Zizic for Muscala but opened up a slot most likely for Melo.

Then the ASG game draft just finished and Lebron has a killer squad. They even made a trade. Lebron trades Westbrook to Giannis for Simmons because the enemy to friendship tour continues for Russ as Giannis wants to make Russ and Embiid friends lol.

I’ll miss JV but if this is the team that finally goes deep in the playoffs then so be it.

So Zion hurt his knee yesterday after his sneaker exploded. It’s all over the sports news now. But the question is; does he hang it up and wait for the draft or return and try and lead Duke to a National Championship?

I just heard that somebody had a grotesque injury during the Nets/Blazers game. I believe Nurkic was the guy that got hurt. I heard it was Theismann-like.

I looked up the video. I wish I hadn’t.

That made my stomach curdle. Hate to see things like that happen.

Yeah I feel horrible for Nurkic. A compound fracture. Terrible sight and you can hear the sound during the video. It’s sickening and unfortunate especially since he was having an amazing game. Not to mention, the injury happened in the second OT.

If you told me beginning of the season that the Clippers were going to be without Blake, Deandre and Tobias and still clinch the playoffs, I would’ve laughed. Instead, they have clinched it before the Jazz, Thunder and Spurs. Crazy.

So Dirk and Wade both just played their final home games. Dirk announced his retirement today, as well. The Heat were eliminated from the playoffs with a win by the Pistons today.

In some shocking news; Magic Johnson has stepped down from his role in the Lakers. Shocking after getting Lebron to go to LA. Crazy news.

I’m going with Bucks, Boston, Philly and Toronto in the East. I’m going with Warriors, Rockets, Thunder and Spurs in the WEST. NBA Finals prediction is Warriors defeating the Raptors.

Kerr is such a small part of the Warriors success that I hope that’s not the reason teams are tossing coaches.

The NBA playoffs begin today!

It starts with the Nets visiting the Sixers in about 5 1/2 hours. It’s followed by another EAST showdown with the Magic visiting the Raptors.

The WEST get the two later games as the Clippers visit the Warriors (in the highest favorites since 1988) and it ends with the Spurs visiting the Nuggets.

It feels all chalk for the West this season as it should be the Warriors. The East is open, though and that excites me.

Ben Simmons was invisible throughout game 1. He made no impact on the game besides 1 strong block.

The Nets are a bad match up for Philly. I’m not surprised the Nets took the first one. Philly seems very immature especially if you’re following the whole cell phone story going on right now between Amir and Embiid.

I love Emblid but yeah that was s bad look. What was Johnson doing with his cell phone at the time? dude has fallen off. Amir used to be a solid at the very least serviceable role player.

Fun start to the Saturday with these upsets! Don’t see it continuing tonight though.

Yeah the Dogs came to play in the East today. I don’t see Orlando winning another game this series, but at least they woke up the Raptors.

Also, Philly/BK is either BK winning the series or Philly in 7.

Amir Johnson was inactive for the game, apparently. Also apparently, his daughter was sick and he was showing Embiid the message he got. That’s the story Embiid is going with, but knowing Embiid and his personality, he probably lying.
