Injuries suck

This game, this series, perhaps even the NBA championship, may have just gone down the tubes for Golden State with KD's injury.

The Warriors are playing possessed. It's almost like KD's still on the court in spirit.

I didn't catch the game, but reading up on it and watching highlights all I have to say is; WOW.

James Harden took one shot in the final 7 minutes? WTF? Chris Paul 0-3 with 3 points? WTF? You have a chance, a golden opportunity, to steal Game 5 in Golden State and take a 3-2 lead in the series and you fucking lose?! In a game where they lost Kevin Durant?! WOW.

The Rockets don't deserve to win this series.

It will be interesting to see if the Warriors (what's left of them; the original 3) can lead this team far again. They've lost their big acquisitions to injuries in Cousins and Durant and if they can win this series and the next without them, that would be magical. A complete silencer to the haters of the "Dream Team". Let's see what happens.

ALSO; I don't think I want Kyrie Irving in NY. I'll gladly take Kemba Walker over him right now. Kyrie is coming off terribly in that elimination and post game talk. He did not seem interested or even mad that they were eliminated. I don't think he cared for that team anymore and I think the feeling is mutual with the team/city.

Sucks that KD might be injured but it does open things up nicely for the Bucks if they make it that far and he can’t go.

Kyrie doesn't fit with Boston at all. I have the feeling he'd rather play for a shitty team and just get his numbers.

Unless Toronto puts together a Liverpool sized comeback, this series is about to go to 7 which is fucking awesome.

Ugh. Going back to Toronto fro Game 7, WITH an extra day of rest for Embiid. That's the last thing I would want to see as a Raptor fan. Nothing's more scarier than a healthy Embiid against ya, with everything on the line.

They should because he is not a great coach by any means.    His teams always fail to show up in the big moments.   

That’d be a really dumb decision, D’Antoni is a tremendous coach whose team ran into one of the best teams of all time two years running.

I made a nice chunk of money betting on the Warriors last night. Just had a feeling they were going to come up big and play with a chip on their shoulder - plus I don’t trust the Rockets.

Nah but seriously, Portland is still one piece away from being a top contender. They have a bonafide star with Lillard, a borderline star in CJ McCollum, and a great rotation of bigs. They are just missing that guy at SF who can be a difference maker. They could also use more shooting depth behind Lillard and McCollum even though Rodney Hood has been a solid mid-season pick up for them.

I would think Denver has the better chance at beating Golden State, but I just don’t see anyone taking 4 of the 7 from them right now.

Houston was the real contender here and they didn’t do it. Milwaukee isn’t full enough to beat them. Philly is one Embiid injury setback away from not being able to cut it. The Raptors need Lowry to be great and that’s not a guarantee to win it either. Portland is blah.

Full enough? By being the best best with the #1 point differential in the league and on early record pace for point differential in the playoffs?

Not too mention getting our third or fourth best player back.

Did you watch any of this series? The Warriors are shallower than they’ve ever been BEFORE the Durant injury. They could barely go seven deep.

How is D'antoni a  tremendous coach?  His teams have never won anything despite consistently having top talent.   Not to mention Houston has had no real system for D'antoni's entire tenure.   They just run isolation plays over and over again, wasting huge amounts of shot clock then shooting contested three pointers.  Ball movement?  Post play?  Mid range game?   Not even once.

Hell last year alone the Rockets would have easily won Game 7 if D'antoni would have made even the slightest adjustment and stopped gunning up 3's when they were dominating attacking the basket and shooting from the mid-range.

Bleacher Report does some awesome thing called “Game of Zones”. Watch that shit on YouTube. Anyways, in the Houston Rockets episode, there’s a scene with Harden/Dantoni and it goes like this.


Harden- “Oh, you want me to take 30 3s a game? But what if I miss them all?”

Dantoni- “Yes, but what if you MAKE them all?!”

James Hardens eyes light up.


I think that’s exactly how conversations in the huddle go.

While I respect the Rockets I hate their style of basketball. I'm glad they're gone.

As much as I hope the Raptors move on, I'm terrified of the Bucks. Then again I've always liked them and if I had to pick someone for Toronto to lose to, it'd be them.

The NBA East could end up like the NHL West for me this year. Blues/Sharks, I don't care who wins, I was cheering for both teams from the start.

Haha so did I. I was all prepped to flip back and forth between it and the Sharks/Blues.

I just read a story about how CP3 kicked Steph off the court the night before. Curry wanted to get some shots in before game 6 and CP3 found out about it and went petty on him. Well, we see how that went. NBAPA president is petty bitch who is biggest flopper in the game. No wonder he has not won anything in his career. Karma.
