Here's the premise: pwcom.proboards.com/thread/149/supercard-mashup-1997?page=1#post-2852I'm bored at work, so I thought I'd get the ball rolling with 1998 over lunch. Haven't had a chance to research this this, but early ideas for WWF include... WWF Title: Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) vs. Dude Love -- Over the Edge '98 *with involvement from Vince and all his stooges* Undertaker vs. Kane (w/ Paul Bearer) -- 'Mania XIV *arguably their best match, and the last time Kane had maximum aura* IC Title Ladder Match: The Rock (c) vs. Triple H -- SummerSlam '98 *Great gimmick match reppin' the future of the main event as well as the DX/NOD rivalry* Need to get X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws on the card. Also, thinking Owen vs. Shamrock, perhaps the Dungeon match just for something different, to get them on the card. D'Lo, Val, Godfather, Al Snow, and the Brood all probably deserve something too to represent the times.

To add to the above, maybe Vader vs. TAFKA Goldust from the Rumble to illustrate how far each had fallen from their early '96 heights...
Maybe the Evening Gown Match between Luna and Sable at Unforgiven to get Sable on the card, and as a sign of the times for women's wrestling... or maybe just go with the bikini contest against Jacqueline at Fully Loaded?
Maybe the D'Lo/Val match from SummerSlam, as well as the Hair vs. Hair Match from the same card between X-Pac and Jarrett? Or go with one of the many solid X-Pac/D'Lo encounters from throughout the year, and go with Val/Jarrett from Fully Loaded?
I'm thinking the New Age Outlaws vs. The Acolytes from the HeAT before Rock Bottom because I don't know what else, and at least it gets NAO on the card and gives a future glimpse of the Ministry of Darkness/APA...

WWF 1998 Supercard Mashup
1. WWF Championship Match: Shawn Michaels (c) vs Stone Cold Steve Austin with Mike Tyson as special enforcer (Wrestlemania 14) Arguably the most important match of the year. A true changing of the guard moment. Austin is crowned as the man and Shawn is gone as a performer. Also, Mike Tyson's involvement brought so much mainstream attention and helped lift the WWF to another stratosphere.
2. Hell in a Cell Match: The Undertaker vs Mankind (King of the Ring 1998) What hasn't been said about this match? A career defining performance from Mick Foley who take two ungodly bumps - one getting thrown off the cell and another getting choke slammed through the cell. He loses a tooth in the process. Thumbtack spots at the end. Brutal, brutal match that will live on in infamy.
3. Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship: The Rock (c) vs Triple H (Summerslam 1998) This is the climax of their 1998 feud. Great performance by both men and the best IC match of not only the year but of the Attitude Era.
4. Dungeon Match: Ken Shamrock vs Owen Hart (Fully Loaded 1998) Special attraction match. Very different feel and ahead of it's time. Great performances all around
5. Kane vs Vader (No Way Out 1998) A typical hoss match that puts the new monster over in route to his big showdown with his brother. This is a Kane showcase match.
6. European Championship Match: D-Lo Brown (c) vs X-Pac (Judgement Day 1998) These two had great chemistry together and this is their best match of the series with a satisfying ending.
7. Marc Mero and Sable vs Goldust and Luna (Wrestlemania 14) Had to get one of the hottest acts on the card and this match was rated 3 stars my Dave so this gets the shout.
8. New Age Outlaws (c) vs Legion of Doom (Raw February 23 1998) A very fun TV title match with the heels cheating to retain their titles.
9. Val Venis vs 2 Cold Scorpio (Raw May 18 1998) The debut of a notorious Attitude Era gimmick.
9 matches total. Think I hit on the most important matches of the year while also showcasing the talents that defined the year. A pre-show match could consist of the Acolytes and the Brood.

*Biggest problem with this one was trying to figure out which combination of Austin/Foley/Undertaker matches to include. It was awfully top heavy with those 3 guys clearly carrying the company this year. So of course in true Baker fashion I end up going with none of the above 1. Marc Mero & Sable vs. TAFKA Goldust & Luna Vachon (Wrestlemania 3/30)
I was going with TAFKA Goldust/Vader from the Rumble before Show reminded me of this one. It got a lot of praise at the time. People were SHOCKED to see Sable do wrestling moves. Her popularity increased even more following this match. 2. D'Lo Brown vs. Val Venis (Summerslam 8/30- European Championship Match)
Solid workrate match from two reliable midcarders in the peak of their ultimately disappointing careers. 3. New Age Outlaws vs. Legion of Doom (Raw 2/23- Tag Title Match)I was originally going with the Outlaws vs. Hardcore Legends 'Mania Dumpster Match but this gets LOD on the card and frees Foley & Funk up for other things. 4. XPac vs. Jeff Jarrett (Summerslam 8/30)
Fun hair vs. hair match from two more solid midcarders. Pretty wimpy haircut though. 5. Ken Shamrock vs. Owen Hart (Summerslam 8/30- Lions Den Match)
Probably Shamrock's best match. It was unique and fun. 6. Mick Foley vs. Terry Funk (Raw 5/4)
Good hardcore brawl between two of the all time greats. Bonus points for Austin being awesome on commentary. 7. Triple H vs. Rock (Summerslam 8/30- IC Title Ladder Match)
A star making match. 8. Undertaker vs. Kane (Wrestlemania 3/30)
Big time unstoppable force meets the irresistible object match almost half a year in the making. 9. Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels (Wrestlemania 3/30- WWF Championship Match)
A passing of the torch. *So, Wrestlemania & Summerslam were pretty good this year, huh? Any combination of Austin/Foley/Undertaker would have worked on this card. As would NAO vs. Funk & Foley. Special Pre-Show Heat 1. Too Much vs. Hardys (Shotgun 10/10) 2. Godfather vs. Farooq (Heat 10/18)3. Kaientai (Togo/Teioh/Funaki) vs. Bradshaw & Taka Michinoku (Over The Edge 5/31)4. Mark Henry vs. Vader (Fully Loaded 7/26)5. Brood (Edge/Christian/Gangrel) vs. Job Squad (Snow/Holly/Scorpio) [Rock Bottom 12/13]Not a lot of depth in 1998 WWF. Too Much & Hardys always had fun matches. Godfather vs. Farooq is a "get 'em on the show" specialty. Kaientai vs. Bradshaw & Taka was a hoot. Henry vs. Vader is another "get everybody on the show" match and cause for SERIOUS OUTRAGE back in the day. Brood vs. Job Squad looked good on paper, sucked in reality, but gets 6 more guys on the show. Somebody else can dig around for DOA vs. Headbangers or Blackman vs. Severn matches if they are willing. Any Los Boricua fans in the house?

Is there any such thing as a Los Boricuas fan? I'm starting to formulate ideas for 1998 WCW despite not being a real time viewer. This might suck or be way off base, and could probably stand to be fleshed out later with more research, BUT... WCW Title: Hollywood Hogan (c) vs. Goldberg -- Nitro in Georgia Done in July Tag Title: The Steiners (c) vs. The Outsiders -- Superbrawl VIII Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair -- Souled Out Best of 7 Final: Booker T vs. Chris Benoit -- Great American Bash Raven's Rules Match: Raven vs. Saturn -- Fall Brawl or Road Wild or Bash at the Beach... Hair vs. Hair: Eddie Guerrero vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. -- Bash at the Beach CW Title: Chris Jericho vs. Dean Malenko -- Great American Bash Fuck, this needs access to a computer to research. I'll be back.

You have to have the Cruiserweight Battle Royal with Dean-o's swerve from Slamboree which includes the match with Jericho right after. Other than that great card

You have to have the Cruiserweight Battle Royal with Dean-o's swerve from Slamboree. Other than that great card I'm missing a lot of big names: Sting, Lex, Savage, Giant, etc. I agree though... I thought the battle royal and subsequent CW Title match would be more ideal. I'll definitely revisit this when I get home.

In terms of importance and legacy (not saying that's how this should or has to be looked at), Austin/HBK with Tyson and Taker/Mankind Cell would be the two unquestionables, with Rock/HHH Ladder as an easy third.
My favourite match of the year is Austin/Dude from Over the Edge and it most perfectly encapsulates the biggest and most important feud of the year (Austin/Vince), but it means you lose out on Taker for another match as he was at ringside. So you don't get HBK at all (can't do Taker/HBK Casket or Austin/HBK) or the big Taker/Kane match or Foley/Funk or the Cell match. It really limits the rest of what you can do.
Just looked up at Show's card there and he has the three I mentioned at the top, plus the great Dungeon match and the surprisingly good Mixed Tag (best way to get Sable on the card). Then he has Kane/Vader, which is the best way to use Kane with what's left, and the other matches he has picked seem about right. Hard to get one better than his.

I'm so glad to see you made the jump and was hoping this idea would lure you into posting. Maybe I should clarify some leeway regarding folks not actively involved in matches, as I feel like Undertaker being a last-minute "surprise" ringside enforcer could conceivably be reasonable. But then again, perhaps not if it's on the immediate heels of his first in-ring war with Kane. In thinking about it again, I agree with you and everyone... Austin/HBK with Tyson as ref, and the second HIAC are too important not to be the options on the 1998 WWF SuperCard MashUp. The question is, what do you do with Kane? Just the Vader squash from No Way Out of Texas? Or was he involved in something more entertaining that I'm not remembering... a TV match perhaps?

I think it is the only option really. He was with one or a combo of Taker, Austin and Foley for pretty much the entire year. And it acts as a showcase of his character at its best - as the unstoppable Michael Myers/Jason Voorhees horror character (pointless fun fact: a guy called Kane Hodder played Jason in four Friday 13th films).

FUCK!
I had a better stab at 1998 WCW's SuperCard MashUp fleshed out, but before I could post... I left my laptop, lost internet connectivity, and lost my post in progress!
Let's see if I can remember it...
1.) Juventud Guerrera vs. Billy Kidman -- Bash at the Beach Cruiserweight kickoff... these guys were as over as any of the other popular C-Dubs, so let's give 'em a bit o' spotlight on this SuperCard MashUp!
2.) Eddy Guerrero (w/ Chavo Guerrero Jr.) vs. Ultimo Dragon -- Slamboree Debated going with the Eddy/Chavo Hair vs. Hair Match, but decided I like Ultimo more than Chavo most days of the week.
3.) #1 Contenders to the CW Title: Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Psicosis -- Road Wild Gotta get these guys on the card!
4.) CW Title: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Dean Malenko -- Slamboree Had to cut the battle royal, which hurt... but at least we still get this! Hopefully the other CW matches help make up for the loss of the battle royal setup for this match.
5.) Raven's Rules Match: Raven (w/ The Flock) vs. Perry Saturn -- Bash at the Beach or Fall Brawl Whichever version of this match was better...
6.) Best of 7 Final: Booker T vs. Chris Benoit -- The Great American Bash Feels needed considering the love that this series got.
7.) Scott Steiner & Buff Bagwell vs. Rick Steiner & Lex Luger -- Spring Stampede Gets a bunch of key upper midcard names on the card, gives us a Steiner Brother implosion, etc. Whatever.
8.) Tag Title: The Outsiders (c) (w/ Dusty Rhodes) vs. Sting & The Giant -- Slamboree Like the other tag match, it gets a bunch of important names on the card in a featured way.
9.) Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair -- Souled Out Went with this over Hart vs. Hennig (w/ Rude) and Flair vs. Bishoff for sake of consolidating card.
10.) Cage Match: Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage (w/ Elizabeth) -- Uncensored Hogan and Savage ended up becoming casualties of card structuring constraints... the Mega Powers explode AGAIN!
11.) WCW Title: Bill Goldberg (c) vs. Diamond Dallas Page -- Halloween Havoc Went with this over Goldberg's title win based on match quality and also needing to get DDP on the card...
I am so TOTALLY at peace with leaving wastes like Konnan, Disco Inferno, etc. off the card.

ECW Shane Douglas vs. Al Snow (Wrestlepalooza) Taz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (Living Dangerously) RVD & Sabu vs. Hayabusa and Jinsei Shinzaki (Heatwave) Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka (Heatwave) Lance Storm vs. Chris Candido (Heatwave) New Jack and Spike Dudley vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. Balls Mahoney and Axl Rotten (Living Dangerously) Justin Credible vs. Jerry Lynn (Heatwave) I still need to find something for Sandman and Dreamer to do. I tried earlier and couldn't come up with a card I liked. For RVD and Sabu I would go with the match from May 16th ECW Arena show where it was Sabu and Chris Candido against RVD and Lance Storm, one of the best ECW tag matches and one of the best matches of that year period imo. Also from that same show the 2/3 Falls match between Jerry Lynn vs Justin Credible was sick, I liked it better than the Heatwave match. I was actually thinking about doing Credible vs Sasuke from House Party but I think one of the Jerry Lynn matches would be the better move. I wanted to go with the Sabu vs Sandman Stairway To Hell and RVD vs Bigelow where RVD wins the TV title but this screwed everything up. Maybe go with one of those matches where Dreamer tagged with New Jack/Kronus/Balls/Axl/Spike vs The Dudley Boys but I get all of those matches mixed up, find one with a New Jack balcony dive. Could probably go with Taz vs Brakkus to free up Bam Bam, great squash, one of my favorite Taz squashes. 98 ECW is a tough one for sure.

I like this. The only definite change I'd make is swapping out the Living Dangerously 3 Way for the Heatwave main of Dudley Trio (w/ Victory cameo) vs. Dreamer/Sandman/Spike (w/ New Jack appearance). The 3 Way had the first balcony dive I ever saw, and that's cool and all, but Heatwave felt bigger, Sandman & Dreamer get their match, we get that Dudley Boyz promo, and the big babyface victory. It's not even a contest for me. Heatwave all the way. Thought about replacing Shane/Al too but there's nothing to put in its spot. And while the match sucked, the hype/build was off the charts. I'm sure there's a fun Balls & Axl massacre of the FBI you can find if you need to get them on the show. Hell, maybe there's even a 3 Way involving the ex-BWO so you can get them on there too.

I'm tinkering my card with some of Baker's suggestions. Shin could do a totally different card, and it would be awesome. Justin Credible vs. Jerry Lynn (Heatwave)Kicked of Heatwave perfectly, and will kick this off too. There's an aggressive amount of Heatwave '98 on my mixtape. Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Antifaz del Norte (ECW Arena: 12/18/98)Tajiri and Super Crazy debuted in back to back weeks against Mr. del Norte at the end of 1998. I'm choosing Tajiri's debut at the Arena. They sold del Norte as his equal, so there was (very little) uncertainty who would win. By the next week, you knew del Norte was a jobber for the new stars. This was also a very good match with the typical hot ECW Arena crowd. Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney vs. Tracy Smothers & Little Guido vs. Danny Doring & Roadkill (ECW Arena: 3/21/98)This was probably fun. Mikey Whipwreck vs. Bobby Duncum Jr. (ECW Arena: 7/18/98)
If somebody wants to skip over this, I get it. No Mikey just felt wrong. Lance Storm vs. Chris Candido (Heatwave)
It was a solid workrate match of its year. Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka (Heatwave)
My favorite Awesome-Tanaka match, and one of my favorite matches of all time. I've seen it a ridiculous amount of times. RVD & Sabu vs. Hayabusa and Jinsei Shinzaki (Heatwave)
A very fun spectacle. Taz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (Living Dangerously)
How many times has Paul E. repeated a variation of this ending? This is still the best one. Two monsters clobbering each other, Taz's path of rage finally hits a roadblock, but it's brilliantly booked with Bam Bam tapping before putting him through the ring, so there's an asterisk. Shane Douglas vs. Al Snow (Wrestlepalooza)
Believe it or not, this was one of the biggest ECW Title matches history the day it happened. Al Snow's meteoric rise to finally end the Franchise's reign. The match kind of sucked, and Vince suddenly wanting Snow back didn't help the booking of it. When I think of ECW in 1998, this is upfront, so it has to be here. Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman and Spike Dudley vs. The Dudley Boyz (Heatwave '98)Baker's right. This is the way to go. You get Dreamer/Sandman, all the Dudley's that matter, Joel Gertner and New Jack all in one match. This is closing the mix after what will be a disappointing Heavyweight Title match.

1998 WWF Redo
Leaving Mankind/Undertaker off was criminal even if I do think the show as a whole will suffer now.
1. Terry Funk & Bradshaw vs. Scorpio & Faarooq (Fully Loaded 7/26) I just had to include the Funker and as a bonus the future Acolytes now get a main show payday as opponents. 2. D'Lo Brown vs. Val Venis (Summerslam 8/30- European Title Match) 3. Sable & Marc Mero vs. Goldust & Luna Vachon (Wrestlemania 3/29) 4. XPac vs. Jeff Jarrett (Summerslam 8/30- Hair vs. Hair Match) 5. New Age Outlaws vs. Legion of Doom (Raw 2/23- Tag Title Match) 6. Ken Shamrock vs. Owen Hart (Summerslam 8/30- Lion's Den Match) 7. Kane vs. Vader (Over The Edge 5/31- Mask vs. Mask Match) Poor Kane has been reduced from being in the penultimate match months in the making against a company legend to.....capturing Vader's jock strap. But on the bright side at least he's not a big fat piece of shit. 8. Triple H vs. The Rock (Summerslam 8/30- IC Title Ladder Match) 9. Undertaker vs. Mankind (King of the Ring 6/28- Hell In A Cell) 10. Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels (Wrestlemania 3/29)
1998 ECW
I put most of this out there already. Now let's make it official. Much of this is the same as Kilgore's card but it's not like I stole it. 1998 ECW is pretty straightforward. Only thing I blatantly jacked is his Tajiri vs. Antifaz idea.
1. FBI vs. Nova & Meanie (Hardcore TV 4/8) The unabashed BWO mark in me had to get Nova & Da Blue Guy on the show. Turns out this also happens to be a pretty good match according to Big Evil. 2. Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Antifaz Del Norte (ECW Arena 12/18) 3. Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten vs. Danny Doring & Roadkill (Hardcore TV 3/18) Had to get Balls (& Axl...I guess) on the show. 4. Justin Credible vs. Jerry Lynn (Heatwave 8/2) 5. Chris Candido vs. Lance Storm (Heatwave 8/2) 6. Masato Tanaka vs. Mike Awesome (Heatwave 8/2) 7. Shane Douglas vs. Al Snow (Wrestlepalooza 5/3- ECW Championship Match) 8. Rob Van Dam & Sabu vs. Jinsei Shinzaki & Hayabusa (Heatwave 8/2- ECW Tag Title Match) 9. Tommy Dreamer/Sandman/Spike Dudley w/ New Jack vs. Bubba Ray, D-Von & Big Dick Dudley (Heatwave 8/2) 10. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Taz (Living Dangerously 3/1- TV Title Match)
*Toughest part of this one was the show layout. I initially had a ridiculous stretch of 5 straight Heatwave matches  It wasn't unprecedented to have ECW Title matches in the midcard. Heyman did it frequently. And the way I devised it the crowd won't stay dead for long when two of their boys are up next in a wild actionfest. It's hard to follow Dudley Boyz-involved chaos but a ring breakage is one of the few things that'll do it. You just can't follow a broken ring.
I don't think this one holds a candle to those beautiful 95-96 ECW shows I came up with but it was a fun ride nevertheless. I may try my hand at 1997 ECW next.

1998 WCWBecause why not?
I'm in the same boat as 🤯 here in that I wasn't watching in real time and have only seen random stuff + some of the hyped matches. This card may have the most star power yet. Look at those top five matches! And look at the guys who didn't make the cut- Rick & Scott Steiner, Lex Luger, Curt Hennig, Roddy Piper...all huge names. The guys with the most potential list-worthy matches were Benoit, DDP, Raven and, oddly enough, Goldberg.
1. Kidman vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Juventud Guerrera (Starrcade 12/27- Cruiserweight Title #1 Contender Match) 2. Eddie Guerrero vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. (Bash At The Beach 7/12- Hair vs. Hair Match) 3. Chris Benoit vs. Booker T (Thunder 6/11- Match #7 in a Best of 7 Series) 4. Perry Saturn vs. Raven (Fall Brawl 9/13- Raven's Rules Match) 5. Dean Malenko vs. Chris Jericho (Slamboree 5/17- Cruiserweight Title Match) 6. DDP vs. The Giant (Starrcade 12/27) 7. Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair (Souled Out 1/24) 8. Randy Savage vs. Sting (Spring Stampede 4/19- WCW Championship Match) 9. Scott Hall vs. Kevin Nash (Halloween Havoc 10/25) 10. Goldberg vs. Hulk Hogan (7/6- WCW Championship Match)

WWF vs. WCW: Three Day Extravaganza
Business is booming. Ratings and buyrates for both promotions are through the roof. With the Monday Night War at its climax the two arch rival promotions have agreed to a three day War To Settle The Score that puts your contemporary Wrestlemania weekends to shame.
*I initially tried certain specific dates but an important guy or two was always out with an injury or a contract dispute. Or maybe a popular tag team had just broken up. There was always some sort of problem. So in the end I settled for just a broad "1998" super show.
Friday
1. Headbangers vs. Alex Wright & Disco Inferno 2. Christian vs. Juventud Guerrera 3. Al Snow vs. Kanyon 4. Gangrel vs. Konnan 5. Bradshaw vs. Meng 6. Godfather vs. Buff Bagwell 7. Goldust vs. Curt Hennig 8. Farooq vs. Lex Luger 9. Vader vs. Bam Bam Bigelow 10. Big Boss Man vs. Roddy Piper
*Pretty 'meh' show in the grand scheme of things but good enough as a "get everybody on the show" Heat/Saturday Night equivalent. I kept Bossman/Piper here rather than bump it up to give this show a proper main event and some star power. Mero, Blackman & Hardys were my last cuts from Team WWF while Ultimo Dragon & Finlay drew the short straw for Team WCW. Favorite Match: The Bradshaw vs. Meng hoss fight. I could also see Godfather/Buff being a fun sports entertainment segment.
Saturday
1. Too Much vs. Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko 2. D'Lo Brown vs. Perry Saturn 3. Edge vs. Booker T 4. Taka Michinoku vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. 5. Jeff Jarrett vs. Eddie Guerrero 6. Val Venis vs. Raven 7. Owen Hart vs. Kidman 8. X Pac vs. Chris Jericho 9. Ken Shamrock vs. Scott Steiner 10. Terry Funk vs. Ric Flair
*This 'workrate' show is a big improvement over Night One. I'd be into every single match with Val/Raven being a particular favorite from a sports entertainment perspective. That should have been a feud.
Sunday
1. New Age Outlaws vs. Outsiders 2. Kane vs. The Giant 3. Mankind vs. Randy Savage 4. The Rock vs. DDP 5. HHH vs. Sting 6. Undertaker vs. Hollywood Hogan 7. Vince McMahon vs. Eric Bischoff 8. Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart 9. Steve Austin vs. Bill Goldberg
*So many dimes. A show so stacked Bischoff vs. Vince is neither the main event nor the penultimate match....A show so stacked Hulk f'n Hogan vs. Undertaker is a midcard match....A show so stacked New Age Outlaws vs. Outsiders is the opener. Bret/Michaels AFTER Montreal!
*I'll have a 1998 WWF vs. ECW show (or shows) up later tonight or tomorrow.

*This doesn't hold a candle to the epic WWF vs. WCW three day war one post above but I think ECW manages to hold their own against WWF in this two night head to head competition.
WWF vs. ECW Friday 5/1/98- ECW Arena- Philadelphia, PA1. Headbangers vs. Nova & Blue Meanie 2. Brian Christopher vs. Mikey Whipwreck 3. Marc Mero vs. Lance Storm 4. Taka Michinoku vs. Jerry Lynn5. Goldust vs. Justin Credible 6. Legion of Doom vs. FBI 7. X-Pac vs. Chris Candido 8. Faarooq/Godfather/Mark Henry/D'Lo Brown vs. Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten/Spike Dudley/John Kronus 9. Jeff Jarrett vs. New Jack Saturday 5/2/98- CoreStates Spectrum- Philadelphia, PA1. Owen Hart vs. Rob Van Dam 2. New Age Outlaws vs. Dudley Boyz 3. Kane vs. Sandman 4. Rock vs. Tommy Dreamer 5. HHH vs. Al Snow 6. Undertaker vs. Bam Bam Bigelow! 7. Dude Love vs. Sabu w/ special guest referee "neutral" Terry Funk8. Ken Shamrock vs. Taz 9. Steve Austin vs. Shane Douglas *Working on 1997 WWF vs. WCW now but so far I'm getting way too many repeat matches from my other WWF vs. WCW shows. Therefore it remains a work in progress.

Saturday 5/2/98- CoreStates Spectrum- Philadelphia, PA1. Owen Hart vs. Rob Van Dam 2. New Age Outlaws vs. Dudley Boyz 3. Kane vs. Sandman 4. Rock vs. Tommy Dreamer 5. HHH vs. Al Snow 6. Dude Love vs. Sabu 7. Undertaker vs. Bam Bam Bigelow! 8. Ken Shamrock vs. Taz 9. Steve Austin vs. Shane Douglas I loved Baker's main card, but I figured I'd do an alternate for the hell of it. Mine is somewhere in the Summer of '98. Taka Michinoku vs. Justin CredibleJustin Credible defeated Taka's mentor The Great Sasuke in ECW earlier in the year, so this is Taka trying to get revenge for his teacher. The Nation (Owen Hart & D'Lo Brown) vs. Chris Candido & Lance StormA workrate tag match. In a vacuum this is heel vs. heel, but if it's in Philly Candido & Storm would be the faces by default and bring some face-heel dynamics. A dungeon/SMW alum vs. a dungeon/SMW alum. Ken Shamrock vs. Bam Bam Bigelow Shamrock vs. Taz is obviously perfect, but I didn't want to duplicate any Baker Man matches, so I went with the next best thing, Bammer trading knuckle shuffle time with Shamrock. I originally had Bam Bam vs. Fat Piece of Shit Vader, but he was too jobbed out at this point. DX (New Age Outlaws & X-Pac) vs. The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer & New JackI wanted X-Pac vs. Jerry Lynn originally (Early 90's Indie Gods!), but X-Pac wasn't doing a lot of singles matches yet, and Jerry Lynn hadn't quite gotten himself over in ECW yet, so I figured we'd just duplicate NAO vs. the Hardcore Legends with Sandman/Dreamer and New Jack as the Hardcore Legends stand ins. I will rip that off again later in the card. The Rock vs. TazThis is battle of the Next Big Things. The Rock will be WWF champ in three months, Taz ECW champ in five. The prematch promos would be incredible with Rock doing his over-the-top sports entertainer schtick with Taz' no frills promising to decimate Rocky. I got goosebumps just thinking about it, brotha. Hardcore Legends vs. The Dudley BoyzSo this is NAO vs. Hardcore Legends retread #2 with the Dudley Boyz being a much better version of the New Age Outlaws, talking the most vile shit imaginable about how they're going to kill Terry Funk and Mick Foley. Triple H vs. Shane DouglasTriple H is on his way to IC Gold while Shane Douglas is already ECW champion. This is Triple H as the Shawn Michaels stand in for Shane Douglas as he shoots as only he could do on those cocksuckers that were the Kliq. Expect some DX and Triple Threat interference. Undertaker vs. SabuThis is always one of my matches in these WWF vs. ECW things. I sincerely believe there could be (should be) a world where Sabu got the push Mankind did against Undertaker doing even crazier spots (minus the HITC bump) while Undertaker was the glue that held the matches together. Sabu would be a millionaire. Steve Austin vs. Rob Van DamRVD isn't quite RVD yet, but he's close. Stone Cold is obviously going over and ECW doesn't want their World Champ doing the favors, so RVD can do it instead in a match pitting the WWF's hottest thing vs. ECW's. In order for ECW to have a chance against a WWF Champ they need Mr. Monday Night.
